news.yahoo.com — I've seen a similar article a couple months ago, but it doesn't seem to be getting much attention.

- user500, on 08/06/2008, -0/+1nope were pillaging Iraq just to pillag Iraq
- ThinkOutTheBox, on 08/06/2008, -0/+5Good. I'm glad there making huge sums of money now get our troops out of there and make them hire Blackwater "contractors" to provide security if they cant have an efficient security force by the end of 2009. There is no reason we should be in be in Iraq after 2009. They are making billions of dollars in oil profits and they are barely spending any of it. You know I don't mind spending 4 even 5 bucks a gallon if it means our troops can get out of there by the end of 2009 sooner would be better but I'm trying to be realistic. Not to mention reading that article it seems like the government that was elected doesn't know what the hell they are doing.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 08/06/2008, -0/+2A Saudi business associate believes Halliburton is still getting the lion's share of the revenue though. This guy has a PhD and a good batting average on things in that neighborhood.

Yeah, let's make the Iraqi's pay for their own occupation, I'm sure that won't incite more violence. I have a better idea - how about we leave so we don't have to pay for ANYTHING? - chicofaraby, on 08/06/2008, -0/+3We paid to blow up their country, level their cities and kill their civilians.
Surely they don't expect us to pay to clean it up?- InvisibleInk, on 08/06/2008, -0/+1As a tax payer I think it is outrageous I was told to pay for their destruction and now I'm told to pay (understandably) for their reconstruction.
I want my money back.

- xero69, on 08/06/2008, -0/+1@ chicofarabychicofaraby: The best thing we can do for the Iraqi people is to give them jobs rebuilding their own communities. Iraqis are not much different than the rest of us, they just want a safe place to live and some food on the table. A job makes both of those possible.
