- buellerdiggs, on 09/03/2008, -5/+20Murdoch is to journalism what Cheney is to the Constitution
- sarge96, on 09/03/2008, -5/+18This is a good article, but I take exception to the humanizing of Murdoch. He's maybe not evil, but he certainly doesn't care if he kills journalism while he's playing with his empire. He has very little consideration for others. I also take exception to the assertion that Murdoch is somehow a maverick in a "straightjacketed" news industry. If anything, he's turning news into infotainment, not the other way around.
- jec68, on 09/04/2008, -3/+10What a miserable old villain.
- fatas, on 09/04/2008, -5/+11Murdoch is a *****, he will do anything for money,
FFS douche bags like Vanity Fair & Time should stop using Serif fonts on the web, Serif is great for print but horrible on LCDs. - Jamiekin, on 09/04/2008, -2/+7I'm Rupert Murdoch, the billionaire tyrant, and this is my skybox.
- DigiDave, on 09/02/2008, -3/+8This is seriously a great read. Curl up - find out why Murdoch supports Obama over Hillary - the answer WON'T surprise you.
- Webnower, on 09/04/2008, -4/+8Murdoch deserves a two fisted shot to the nuts.
- Elranzer, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3Murdoch is smart. Evil and ***** greedy, but smart. Most Americans don't even realize he's not an American (even though the Republicans view him as the only true American patriot in the media). He's in fact Australian.

- shannobn, on 09/04/2008, -3/+6Rupert Murdoch aka Killer of Intellectualism.
- Bovorik, on 09/04/2008, -1/+4Murdoch might as well have wrote the piece himself - the Dirty Digger's rabid when it comes to controlling what's written about him.
Last year an Australian paper, the Sydney Morning Herald, was about to publish a piece on Murdoch's slapper (Wendi Deng, AKA wife no. 3), then suddenly yanked it at the final hour. I doubt there was much to the story (i.e. nothing that sensational about her or Murdoch), but that just shows how much a control freak he is.
It's amazing he gets around on two feet with such a flexible spine. - KOfMyBasement, on 09/04/2008, -0/+2A simple link would have been fine.
- ElGubrush, on 09/04/2008, -2/+4Though the humanizing of this character is commendable, one must never forget that it is akin to calling a 10 year old arsonist "a scamp"
- terminal157, on 09/04/2008, -2/+4Jesus Christ, dude. Even a second post because you ran out of room. Did you really think that was a good idea?
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -3/+5The only thing I want to read about that piece of ***** is an obituary.
- Elranzer, on 09/04/2008, -0/+2I don't even think Bill O likes Bill O. He's a robot designed specifically to be hated by everyone possible.
- flashback99, on 09/04/2008, -1/+3Don't know why people are digging you down. Everyone needs to know what this *****'s fingers are in.
- jj101, on 09/04/2008, -0/+2Great to hear that he doesn't like Bill O either though. Now he needs to do something about it!
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -1/+3He was also given the US citizenship through backdoor by the congress.

- o0joshua0o, on 09/04/2008, -1/+2I admire the way Murdoch has taken newspeak and corporate-driven propaganda to new heights. It's an amazing accomplishment.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1Exactly, ***** interview + lack of substance = Vanity Fair.
- burchie2, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1"He may be among the biggest gossips in New York. In the months of interviewing him, I found that the most reliable way to hold his interest was to bring him a rich nugget. His entire demeanor would change. He’d instantly light up. He’d go from distracted to absolutely focused. Gossip gives him life (and business opportunities). This, I believe, is how the rumor about Michael Bloomberg’s buying The New York Times got legs. I offered it to him as a bit of speculation—conflating two of his favorite subjects, Bloomberg, whom he greatly admires, and the Times, which he does not—that a Bloomberg-Times deal could be possible. He paused, considered, opened his mouth, seemed blissed out for a second, processed this information against his own needs and interests … and then said, “It makes sense. I think I’ll ask him.” And suddenly the rumor was everywhere—he was telling everybody, which made it true. The mayor’s people seemed to like the rumor so much that they began to talk it up themselves. Bloomberg himself seemed to fancy it (offering only a tepid denial) and, Murdoch thinks, could act on it."
If you think that a multi BILLION dollar corporation is relying on tips from interviewers than you have to be crazy. Companies like this pay people to do the digging for them (indirectly or not). That is part of their business. I also highly doubt that Murdoch would be that far out of the loop. It sounds like Murdoch was pretty much toying with this reporter during the entire set of interviews.
Do you serious think that this reporter can serious offer any "rich nuggets" to one of the most powerful men in world media? - bearsandbulls, on 09/04/2008, -1/+1Damn. You should submit that.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -1/+1l.m.a.o. Very true.

The human race is worse off for his existance. The kind of boob that could normally do nothing of significance given power by his parents. The reason we eliminated the devin right of kings. - macieksos, on 12/25/2008, -0/+0<a href="http://www.natradzik.com.pl">Trądzik</a ...
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -1/+1Wait, it was a cool to read but it lacked of substance if you take into account that this guy may be the most influential person in the world. It just say the thing that you, more than likely, will assume regarding to this guy.
