blogs.zdnet.com — We want this new reputation to be more truthful than the Web 1.0 version, In the Web 1.0 world the reputation came from the individual self promotion, ie Linkedin. We believe than few of us are as perfect as we "need" to be in our CV's ( or Linkedin lives). This positively skewed system where I describe myself and I give you 3 references is full of

- Publictivity, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Great concept, and sounds like there will be amazing execution on it.
- gunnerycox, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2The Gorb sounds really cool.
- MIAMIEXEC, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2A true Web 2.0 company. User generated reputation!
- brbreslin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1wow, miami startups on digg. my favorite. is there going to be a way to use thegorb with digg profiles?
- mattyxo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm beginning to doubt the validity of these comments but the concept sounds cool. I don't think this will necessarily fly because of the anonymity.
- romer1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree with mattyxo in that the overly positive content of some comments is somewhat suspicious, however I disagree that anonymity is bad. I think if anything, the anonymity is what will make this site. How many times did we have a friend or co-worker who had an annoying habit or two, but that habit wasn't annoying enough to makes us want to "rock the boat"? I would love to be able to point minor adjustments to a few people in my life. At the same time I think I would appreciate a constructive criticism about me. If there's some small part of me that I can improve on, I would at least try, even if I learned about it from anonymous source.
- kylebrothert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Now all of the crowd-following, self-loathing, attention-starved, co-dependants can tweak their lives according to the opinions of random acquaintances. Yeah, this sounds really healthy.
- musachy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I've got some negatives reviews to make, this sound like a good place for them :)
- krantiparisa, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0its a creative concept.. well done guys
- romer1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think this might actually work. I don't do myspace, and got tired of youtube. But I am looking forward to rating people I like, but especially the people I don't like :-)
- luismruiz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think this is a great idea. It could be used similar as a credit rating but on a personal and professional level. I like the design as well.
