- Anelly85, on 02/12/2008, -2/+1it's true, employee getting on internet for personal use decrease company's productivity
- CoenJacobs, on 02/12/2008, -0/+3Off course this is true, in the time people surf for personal use, they could be working aswell.
But there are more than enough examples, in which people get a little distraction from some personal internet use. This will prevent the employees from stress and other illness that will disable the employee from working. It's easy to say: "Personal use of internet during working times is bad", but there is more to think about.- aroman07, on 02/12/2008, -0/+1You are so right. The problem is how much time employees use the internet for personal use. I would say that up to 5-10 minutes per hour would be acceptable.
- CoenJacobs, on 02/12/2008, -0/+15-10 minutes per hour = max 80 minutes on a complete working day (8 hour).
This is pretty much I think, imagine what you could do in 80 minutes! :|

- evernerve, on 02/12/2008, -0/+2No wonder so many companies block myspace, facebook, digg, youtube and the like from their employees.
- monchito, on 02/12/2008, -0/+1this is not the case for companies that make a living online. Their employees SHOULD be very active users of the web, social media sites, chatprograms etc. But ofcourse that does not count for all companies
- alexolah, on 02/14/2008, -0/+0Hi. You are only partialy right.. Because the reports can contain the visited websites I guess it's just a matter of defining what's productive and what's not usefull for that company's activity, and for that employee's duties ;)
