Actually, buried for being really boring. - Cancerous, on 01/03/2009, -0/+5Inform the police about those hookers. If they're in prison, you can't sleep with them.
- stuartbryant, on 01/03/2009, -0/+5Here's a tip:
Less time on Digg, more time actually going to work. - Enlightenment, on 01/03/2009, -1/+5Don't Buy Stuff You Can't Afford! Hey Losers Wake The ***** Up!

- pygmy, on 01/03/2009, -0/+2it sounds so crazy it might just work
- Skishy101, on 01/03/2009, -0/+2Here's the thing. Unless you were already in the habit of closely monitoring your spending and saving habits, sitting down and making lists is not going to change that. Yeah you can set short term goals but managing finances is one of the hardest things out there. Especially if you grew up in a household that didn't teach you this.
I would say set back some money and make an appointment with a personal accountant who can show you how to be better organized and help you with the tips and tricks of managing finances. They may even be able to help you figure out how long it will take you to pay off your debt based on how much you want to designated to monthly payments. - pygmy, on 01/03/2009, -0/+2less lattes.
- immatellyouwhat, on 01/03/2009, -0/+2and that's why middle class living sucks because we pay for ***** like that for losers who don't get off their asses to get jobs.
- Yarnage, on 01/03/2009, -0/+2Using Mint is stupid. Do you _really_ want to keep your financial data _including_ your usernames and passwords to access your accounts on _someone's_ server?
Dumbest things ever, in my opinion. - PrairieDoggin, on 01/03/2009, -0/+2Stand in line behind the government and hold your hand out.
- TimDigg, on 01/03/2009, -0/+2When I read the title the first thing that came to mind was mint.com...
what a coincidence, it's from mint.com - wwwforexsigcom, on 01/04/2009, -0/+1Setting financial goals & keeping them is very important for managing your money.
- oda1, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1How am I a dumbass? Clearly, you are the dumbass. You don't need school to teach you how to keep your finances in check. It's not that difficult with a little responsibility. Don't flame my 'girlfriend' comment, just because you've never had a girlfriend (hence your 'how to get sex' comment)
I'm sorry, I don't mean to hurt you feelings, I really don't get off hurting feelings of others, but you asked for it. - oda1, on 01/03/2009, -1/+2If you have to follow a 'how-to' to put your finances in check, chances are, you're screwed. Unless you get a girlfriend who handles it all, which has it's good and bad side and I won't get into that ammirite ladies?
- doiveo, on 01/02/2009, -2/+3I wish Mint was available in Canada. Sorry, off topic, but this just reminded me how we are stuck with Quicken or MS Money.
- JonBrowne, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1Here's another good tip......
Follow your own advice. - KANWARSAURABH, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1Finance being the crucial factor to be kept in mind in the current economic situation,it is necessary to take important measures to enhance your finance and to set financial resolutions is an effective way of doing this.
Nice post... - NunoPCruz, on 01/04/2009, -0/+1This isn't available at my country (PT) so does anyone now similar tools?
And what aboutapplications with just user generated data inputs where you don't have to link this to your bank accounts? - JonBrowne, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1No, your a dumbass. lol.
A girlfriend who handles it all? Thats insanity.
News flash: If your not following any advice on finance, chances are, your arrogant and you think you know it all.
I don't know about you, but I don't remember finances being a topic covered much in school. They'd rather teach you stupid rhymes about christopher columbus sailing the seven seas then the things you need to know in life. How to make money, how to get sex, etc. - NunoPCruz, on 01/04/2009, -1/+1The truth is that from what I see I sure is a big help for statistics on money spending. I live in a country where internet sites and applications like this are in the ancient so I use MS Excel.
I would like to have this kind of services here in Portugal. But our information security surely is a point against this. - inactive, on 01/03/2009, -3/+2New year with new financial resolution. Thanks for sharing.

- centran, on 01/03/2009, -6/+4Do not use the "free" credit report websites. They will sign you up on a monthly plan. https://www.annualcreditreport.com/ is the only authorized website that gives you a free credit report under federal law. You only get one per year but since there are three credit reporting agency you can spread it out between them.(so you can get one credit report every four months)
Don't believe me? This comes from a government website http://www.ftc.gov/freereports
