- Quartzblade, on 06/27/2009, -15/+717Hey guys check out this awkwardly large image.
- asgardshill, on 06/27/2009, -1/+177The next time I'm in Dallas, I'll take a look at that infographic on that 160' LED wall at the new Cowboys stadium.

In Europe they use a comma instead of a decimal point - pensivewombat, on 06/27/2009, -0/+127If I fly cheap, I fly happy.
- TugOSpiegel, on 06/27/2009, -4/+127***** you, man.
- BottledViolence, on 06/27/2009, -1/+119"No frills" like free toilets?
- iamacyborg, on 06/27/2009, -4/+109Actually, the 52" bit is irrelevant; you could have a 3" 1080p monitor and it would require the same percentage of screen real estate...
Of course if your goal was to make me feel inadequate with my 23" monitor you succeeded. - vsujohn2, on 06/27/2009, -3/+95Digg needs an infographic section
- mysql101, on 06/27/2009, -16/+101you have no idea. I'm using my 52" 1080p TV as a monitor, and I was like, "holy *****. This thing almost needs my entire desktop!"
- bbhill, on 06/27/2009, -1/+73Southwest owns. Their oil hedging was a brilliant economic plan.
- NathanielJ, on 06/27/2009, -1/+71The better question is why they included cents in that number but not in any of the other six, as if those all came out to even numbers.
- synthetek, on 06/27/2009, -25/+87Buried for "How Come."
- GoldenGlovez, on 06/27/2009, -3/+65I usually get wasted and pass the ***** out so I dont know how ***** my flight was.
- themastersb, on 06/27/2009, -1/+58So it's probably 1920×1080 resolution. A lot of much smaller monitors have the same resolution.
- mabba18, on 06/27/2009, -2/+51How about including a comparison of customer satisfaction levels?
- BillOrly, on 06/27/2009, -0/+4823" and you feel inadequate?!
- NathanielJ, on 06/27/2009, -2/+50Low-cost airlines, as this infographic itself says, don't generally do long-haul flights, making the price comparison provided mostly useless. Well done.
- DemDude, on 06/27/2009, -4/+48Wow, if I project it on the moon with my Super-*****-Badass-FRIGGIN-LASER-Projector™ in FullHD, it almost fills my entire moon-desktop!
That's right! I use the ***** moon as my monitor, bitch!
I ***** hate Show-Offs. - Hellicus, on 06/27/2009, -2/+38I have the same resolution of your HDTV... on my 17" laptop.
- papashawn, on 06/27/2009, -0/+36I did a case study on Southwest Airlines during college...this graphic understates the cost benefit of having non-union pilots.
- jman583, on 06/27/2009, -3/+36Use Ctrl and the - button.
- weister42, on 06/27/2009, -2/+34"Center, mysql101 screen size check"
"mysql101, Center, we have you at 52" on the ground." - handheldchimp, on 06/27/2009, -2/+33Why come you no have tattoo?
- Tubal22, on 06/27/2009, -0/+30I think it's safe to say that Southwest has a higher customer satisfaction rating than the expensive guys.
- Wormwoods, on 06/27/2009, -7/+36Because it's inappropriate and offensive.
- Wormwoods, on 06/27/2009, -1/+30Or you could have just skipped over it when you saw the word "Infographic" in the title.
With love,
Wormwoods - mihiryouthere, on 06/27/2009, -0/+28I thought this read "Oprah's Fit to Width feature,"
- Barackalypse, on 06/27/2009, -1/+27At 33,000 feet, the clouds get real boring real fast, especially on a 9 hour flight to Europe at night.
- MetalliTooL, on 06/27/2009, -1/+23Aer Lyngus? Seriously?
- DemDude, on 06/27/2009, -0/+22Haha, you don't have a mouse-wheel!
- georgesarlas, on 06/27/2009, -0/+21Oh yeah? C'mere a minute!
- cmf2071, on 06/27/2009, -1/+22Nearly 10,000 passengers per 1 employee at Ryanair. I guess that explains a lot...
- RAAFStupot, on 06/27/2009, -2/+22Because it's an inarticulate way of saying "why...".
- skinny01, on 06/27/2009, -0/+20How come?
- VitaminCrack, on 06/27/2009, -0/+20Two hours?
I regularly go on 16 hour flights with in-flight entertainment that shows current cinema releases.
And this isn't expensive 1st class, just a mid-range typical airline. - Acqua206, on 06/27/2009, -0/+1916 hour flights? I couldn't live that lifestyle. Taking a ***** on an airplane is the absolute worst thing. It doesn't help that the low pressure in the airplane seems to make me gassy. I don't have a problem taking a ***** in a public restroom or anything like that but when the whole back row can hear you take a *****, it makes for some uncomfortable crapping and an awkward moment when your done with your business. You open the door, uncomfortably shuffle past the next person who's waiting for the john (with poor luck, it'll be some cute chick who has to smell your aftermath) and make the walk of shame back to your seat while subconciously avoiding eye contact with the other passengers.
- NexFrost, on 06/27/2009, -0/+18Blasphemy!
- bbhill, on 06/27/2009, -0/+18i guess you get what you pay for in some respects. Board early to get a good seat, otherwise, i really don't care where i sit--I'm a cheapass.
- stufflebean, on 06/27/2009, -0/+18So incredibly wrong. All you have to do is check in online 24 hours in advance. If you're on the ball, you almost always get an A seat. The worst I've done checking in ahead of time is mid-B, and that's because I was well after the T-24 point.
Also, they have much more reasonable surcharges for checked baggage, a wide selection of (free) snacks on every flight, and if you have to rebook, you don't get charged any penalties except for the increased price of the ticket.
In my book, Southwest is about as good as it gets. - fightingforair, on 06/27/2009, -3/+20Press the Large button.
- StanleyKoolPrik, on 06/27/2009, -5/+22How many people actually value in-flight entertainment, aka the ***** movie that has been released on dvd TEN MONTHS AGO? Raise your hands.
Also, isn't the fact that you're doing something human being could only imgagine for thousands of years
enough to keep your ADD ass satisfied until we land in two hours? Look out the window, *****. Your'e flying! - scy1192, on 06/27/2009, -0/+17Opera's Fit to Width feature FTW
- stufflebean, on 06/27/2009, -0/+16Just check in online 24 hours in advance, get your A ticket, and have your run of the plane.
- linagee, on 06/27/2009, -5/+21Over 9000 passengers per employee? It's over 9000!
- PetFish, on 06/27/2009, -0/+16Well, as I'm a cheap bitch, Easyjet were awsome, all i wanted to do was get from the UK to Prague :D And that's what they did, cheaply, I wasn't abused, raped, or molested. Got there safely, and didn't pay much for it.
The old saying of you get what you pay for, is true. I didn't expect a right lot. And all I got was about as much as I expected. :D
Would use again. AAAA++++ - HenvY, on 06/27/2009, -0/+15Maybe it's because they make their crews do more than one flight in their career.
- wild, on 06/27/2009, -0/+15Like your planes like you like your women, eh?
- r00fus, on 06/27/2009, -0/+15Way off base:
Google says it's ~$150 as of this moment:

Doubt conversion rates have that much in 3.5 hours :-) - zakool21, on 06/27/2009, -1/+16I just BARELY got away with reading this graphic with no horizontal scrolling.
I have to say, the budget airlines certainly have a place. I'm glad most don't do long-haul flights. It's only recently Southwest started flying cross-country, and even then, you have to switch planes once or twice along the way. I'd prefer just to fly United or JetBlue across the country nonstop.
I wonder if the relatively recent baggage charges from the bigger airlines has caused fewer delays? Anybody know if any fewer people check bags because of the cost? - macgiants, on 06/27/2009, -2/+16Am I missing something? Ryanair, EasyJet, Aer Lyngus, Southwest - don't all of those airlines fly only within their respective continent? Vs. Lufthansa, BA, and Air France which fly basically everywhere. Apples and oranges comparison.
