- Surferess, on 05/22/2008, -1/+10I think Nanotech is the coolest new industry for investing in. All I need now is some money!

- sentientbeing, on 05/22/2008, -0/+6Ah Nanotech.
Its the next big thing.. - snowhite7185, on 05/22/2008, -1/+7Wow, that's a crazy amount of growth! And as Surferess said...man...don't I wish I had some money to invest. I should also probably learn a little more about nanotechnology and the applications, I guess.
- Scotty87, on 05/22/2008, -0/+6"expected" ... an elaborate attempts to shake up the industry with some investors?
- D1ggy, on 05/22/2008, -2/+7within in next 5 years we should see some great technology!
- inactive, on 05/22/2008, -2/+6Really cool article about the Nanotech sector market. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts and concerns about this emerging field.
- inactive, on 05/22/2008, -0/+4Throw some my way :)
- inactive, on 05/22/2008, -0/+4Take a ride with me?
- CDoug03, on 05/22/2008, -0/+4My nanotech is growing right now
- Envark, on 05/22/2008, -0/+4Fear won't get you anywhere.
- inactive, on 05/22/2008, -0/+3Hey, must be the Money!
- xirtap, on 05/22/2008, -1/+4Growth? In a technological area which can revolutionize many elements of our lives? My god, where do I invest!?
- ByrcheWroot, on 05/22/2008, -0/+3I was telling friends years ago that if I had the means, I'd invest heavily in nanotechnology. And now that I have the means, I think the world is ready for a new wave of boy-bands. Nanotech can wait.
- punchinelli, on 05/22/2008, -1/+3Metal Gear Solid codecs, here we come!
"I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork- does a raw blink on Hara-kiri Rock. I need scissors! 61!" - Envark, on 05/22/2008, -0/+2Nanomachines could target and exterminate the cancerous cells. Self-correcting problem!
- ummagummas08, on 05/22/2008, -0/+2What's a good nanotech company to invest in?? I was thinking IBM.. or acacia research
- jonathanmtl, on 05/22/2008, -1/+3I bought some IXS.V today. At 0.30$ its a steal! Nanotech will be huge = huge profit
- catalysis, on 05/22/2008, -0/+2Just make sure you plan on getting your Ph.D. from the beginning, because you can't do much with an undergraduate degree.
- fiskintl, on 05/22/2008, -1/+3expanding? as in grey goo expansion? were all doomed.
- uberBrown, on 05/22/2008, -0/+2I am actually going into nanotech engineering in university starting next year! This is obviously good news for me. I would go as far as saying that nanotech will have a greater impact than anything preceeding it. I do think there are ethical issues that need to be contemplated and dealt with.
- Surferess, on 05/24/2008, -0/+1Catching money and spending it on something completely unrelated.
- ihavebeenseen, on 05/22/2008, -1/+2Mesothelioma
- inactive, on 05/22/2008, -1/+2Same things were said about asbestos.
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1Plastics.
- inactive, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1Benjamin Braddock indeed.
- inactive, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1I like those little nanocar races. Nanocar > Nascar
- norman619, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1Yet another story which is screaming to be placed in the "NO *****" category. Digg really needs to make one for these.
- TheMoniker, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1There seem to be two broad avenues that people are taking: speculating on smaller companies in hope of finding one that's going to explode, and waiting to see which blue chips take advantage of the field to become industry leaders. Before you go throwing money at stocks, you should have some understanding of modern portfolio theory (if you don't know what it means, you absolutely must before you start putting money into anything) and the meaning of "risk-adjusted returns." Basically, remember what we've learned from the tech bubble bursting earlier and keep in mind the dangers of momentum & growth investing.
With all that said, here are some companies:
Acacia Research-CombiMatrix nasdaq: CBMX; Advance Nanotech otcbb: AVNA; Altair Nanotechnologies nasdaq: ALTI; AMCOL International nyse: ACO; Arrowhead Research nasdaq: ARWR; Bio-Force Nanosciences otcbb: BFNH; Biophan otcbb: BIPH; Biosante Pharmaceuticals amex: BPA; JMAR Technologies nasdaq: JMAR; MFIC Corp otcbb: MFIC; Nanogen nasdaq: NGEN; Nanometrics nasdaq: NANO; Nanophase Technologies nasdaq: NANX; Nano-Proprietary otcbb: NNPP; NaturalNano otcbb: NNAN; Psivida nasdaq: PSDV; Tegal nasdaq: TGAL; Ultratech nasdaq: UTEK.
As far as what a good company is to invest in: look each up, consider the market fundamentals before you put your money into anything. If you don't know how to do that, head down by your local university campus and take a look at which textbooks they are using for their investment courses (as well as introductory macroeconomics), start there. - Metasquares, on 05/22/2008, -1/+2This wasn't obvious? Biotech's going to be big too.
- batyc, on 05/22/2008, -1/+1That's astounding! How can you invest in this new technology?
- sonyx, on 05/22/2008, -2/+2hey retards, where is the report. how can you digg this ***** you lamers. dos the ***** scam-site instead.
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -1/+1Wow, what an in depth article. Definitely front page material.
- desertDenizen, on 05/22/2008, -2/+1Two paragraphs? Where's this really cool article you speak of. Did I miss it?
