- TheJimid, on 10/29/2009, -0/+3Soon Google will have enough financial capital to actually build a rocket, at which point Mr. Blanks will be even more useful.
- Redzin, on 10/30/2009, -0/+2Omg! My trust for google, too, is broken now that I've read your incredibly credible story without sources about something that barely even makes sense.
On a serious note: google have always been hard on websites that try to "game" their system (which it sounds like is the case here). - Cyclozion, on 10/29/2009, -1/+3Cool story, bro.
- haugenbrian, on 10/30/2009, -0/+1Googles Favorite Rocket Scientist? Who Googles "favorite rocket scientist?"
- fireashes, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1What will you do if Newegg and amazon hire those. I know I will be buried
- perola21, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1I'm here wondering what the financial capital of Google!
- umbrae, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1I bet an article like this is one of their methods.
- skeptictank, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1They can hire all the “conversion rate optimization” experts they want. I'll still buy computer stuff from Newegg and books from Amazon.
- xyllar, on 10/29/2009, -0/+1Wouldn't a computer scientist have been a more appropriate choice? The fact that he's a (former) rocket scientist seems beside the point.
- MonsoonCrank, on 10/29/2009, -2/+2Dudes, haven't read the article, but my cousin is friends with the Sig Eps and he's bringing by a 2 story beer bong. Any of you greek bros wanna come by and try this *****, it's cool. Just gotta bring 2 hos and a sixxer!
- skeptictank, on 10/29/2009, -0/+0Probably still shop there since thinking about your question causes too many paradox headaches.

- AnotherDiggGuy, on 10/29/2009, -8/+2I have lost ALL respect for Google and Matt Cutts in the past 12 hours.
I got a phone call last night showing how corrupt google really is. It basically involves a website getting banned from Google for violating spam rules, this website ranked top 5 for most major industry keywords, the (corporation) website owner called Matt Cutts directly, threatening to drop their multi million per year pay per click account, and Matt Cutts saying he will have the website unbanned within 48 hours.
I have lost all respect for Google and Matt Cutts. It basically proves you actually CAN buy organic listings. The playing field on Google is NOT equal.
- Update: It's not just 1 website. It's 5 websites. Each website has millions of pages with generated lists of content. I don't really want to say what these websites are or what they sell, but let's just say Google usually bans websites that have millions of pages, each page containing tens of thousands of keywords in an ordered list format.
