- StripeyMagee, on 04/11/2009, -7/+103***** Goldman Sachs!
Mike Morgan FTW!! - mannygoldstein, on 04/11/2009, -1/+83I am rather surprised that a firm as savvy and sophisticated as Goldman Sachs has decided to engage in a legal duel with a blogger. As with McDonalds and the anarchists in the UK or Salomon Brothers and Michael Lewis, to provide but two examples, large corporations very rarely succeed when attempting to use the courts against committed individuals or small groups of individuals.
Apart from immediately taking the role of 'Goliath' against a 'David', they also give credibility to their opponent and, crucially, surrender their room to manoeuvre by engaging in a legal process. The last point means that they can be forced to provide internal documents and both past and present employees, however senior, can be required to provide written or oral testimony. - gradient01, on 04/12/2009, -1/+76The law of unintended consequences ... now I will read every letter on a site that I would have otherwise never know about. Well done, Goldman, well done!
- crocev, on 04/11/2009, -8/+77I did not know this guy's blog, but after this piece of news I will check it out!!
Good for GS!! - Fieldyza, on 04/12/2009, -2/+61Haha.. Gotta Love a Modern Depression.
These Crooks will NEVER succeed in hoodwinking everyone anymore.
God Bless the WWW and God speed to Mr Morgan - sgerwel1985, on 04/12/2009, -0/+44What a stupid move by GS, i had no idea about this guy until now. What a great way to draw up some unwanted/needed attention.
- raks1991, on 04/12/2009, -1/+33Thank you Goldman Sachs for helping me discover that site.I was always looking for stuff that show how evil the bankers are. Also it has provided free publicity to his site. Now I'm gonna send the website link to everyone and show how manipulative and evil Goldman Sachs is.
***** you Goldman Sachs.
BTW I also realised that Goldman Sachs is one of the biggest contributor to both McCain and Obama's campaign. It's pretty clear they play a big role in all the decisions made by Obama. - inactive, on 04/12/2009, -0/+28The Streisand Effect: will companies ever learn?
- wowsah156, on 04/12/2009, -1/+28Kudos to Morgan for setting up goldmansachs666. We need more sites and people like him. I am surprised he hasnt got any CIA dirt yet. goldman sachs was a clearing bank for the CIA in the 1980's and 90's for drug money. Investigate ther accounts from the 80's and 90's and you will find MASSIVE fraud at Goldman Sachs.

Let's hear it for the Streisand Effect. - Noiseache, on 04/12/2009, -0/+22The sad thing is; something is obviously going on here for GS to want to gag this guy.
So when it all comes out that GS have their fingers deep within the US government and vice versa, the outcome of which is bound to be the fact that a small amount of people are making a vast amount of money at the expense of thousands of less well off folk - it will all soon be forgotten about and GS can quickly return to this practice without further entanglement from the press and public.
It's the apathy towards this kind of corporate behaviour that allows it perpetuity. Capitalism is poisoned but I'm not suggesting there's an easy alternative. - sciencelovesyou, on 04/12/2009, -1/+22What next Goldman? Kicking some puppies? Smashing cakes?
I bet there's a kid somewhere with a ice-cream cone just BEGGING to be knocked over. - evergrim, on 04/12/2009, -0/+20Well now I'm curious what he's saying about them that's got them so worried / annoyed. It must be pretty interesting.
- VoidStar11, on 04/12/2009, -0/+18He's my broker :) Mike FTW
- sofaking30, on 04/12/2009, -0/+18Goldman cracked!
- fishshogun, on 04/12/2009, -0/+18How do they figure it implies a relationship. The big red letters seem to state the exact opposite.
- peopleme, on 04/12/2009, -1/+19Goldman is EVIL I hope they go bankrupt along with JP Morgan.
http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2009/0413/096-sachs-s ... - gigi52, on 04/12/2009, -6/+18So now our bailout money will fund lawyers to stop 1st amendment free speech on the web. Great job Obama - what's another million for legal fees amidst the trillions you gave away!
- PrestoVivace, on 04/11/2009, -0/+12Great moments in brand equity.

- raks1991, on 04/12/2009, -1/+12Telegraph rocks.
It's time bankers controlled American media breaks free. - MrColdheart, on 04/12/2009, -1/+11Is Goldman Sachs that removed from reality that they think they can stop a blogger?
This is what happens to your ego and common sense when you deal with lots of other peoples money. - mathenjp, on 04/12/2009, -0/+9Goldman, Paulson, Geithner and Summer - The most dangerous group of people who are looting America dry> They have to be stopped and prosecuted> Obama needs to wake up and see the true nature of hhis trusted "economic advisers". These guys belong in jail and if they dont this depression will continue for much longer than it has to.
- thurows, on 04/12/2009, -3/+12That's good use of bailout money.
- ansatsu29, on 04/12/2009, -1/+10I applaud Mr. Morgan for his effort in exposing the evil practices of Goldman Sachs.
- bsmang, on 04/12/2009, -0/+8I could sense that GS was bad just because I know they're getting the most money through AIG and yet their stock has been up, up, up. Plus, that's Henry Paulson's old company. I'm sure he was looking out for them the most.
GS is probably among the worst of the worst in this whole thing. - PresidentWikis, on 04/12/2009, -0/+8Digg Up the Official Olog ( goldmansachs666.com ) @ http://digg.com/business_finance/Goldman_Sachs_Rev ...

- unknwn, on 04/12/2009, -0/+6This is incredibly frustrating.
How many times do you hear about a little guy raising a red flag about Enron, Madoff, etc. but they're all ignored?
We NEED these people. To cover it up only makes it look more suspicious. Maybe it will bring some much needed eyeballs to the scene... - tigerpixel, on 04/12/2009, -0/+6Gold man sacks is a more appropriate name for these coke fiends.
- inactive, on 04/12/2009, -0/+6The entire finance industry is a big ***** scam.
Let it go bankrupt. - Eorster, on 04/12/2009, -0/+5They have won. This person's website is fine and dandy, but it will do nothing about GS and them getting our tax money through AIG, yes a lot of that AIG bailout money is going to GS. The only way to stop GS and its ilk are to stop doing business with it and its partners or clients. That won't happen, so they win. If I am wrong please tell me why? GS is our new overlord and there is nothing we can do about it. Our representatives are entrenched with them and none of us seem to be willing to get rid of our representatives at election time so... they win.
- inactive, on 04/12/2009, -5/+10Goldman Suchs ... the big PENIS
- jturbo, on 04/12/2009, -0/+5Anyone that has a blog should re-post his posts with the disclaimer that you are in no way affiliated with the bank. They cannot strong arm people and their posts off the internet.
- admiral202, on 04/12/2009, -0/+5This should be an interesting case! There is a similar story about a man that created a website called Taubman Sucks - detailing his legal battle with a large corporation that went after another of his sites - the entire ordeal can be viewed here:
http://www.taubmansucks.com/index.html
I thought this was a good read (at least teaches you how to protect yourself from large corporations):
The taubmansucks.com site has an incredible amount of information on how the man won his legal battle to keep his site up and running; and this goes back to the mid - to late 90's.
The blogger already has experience fighting "the man" so I too can't imagine why Goldman Sachs would go after him, unless they really are hiding something... - smacksaw, on 04/12/2009, -0/+4Well, I guess it's better than the next step: hired goons.
- LiLi009, on 04/13/2009, -0/+4I didn't check out the website, but it's funny what the Big Wigs will do to protect their own Public Images.
- HellyK, on 04/12/2009, -0/+4Awwww...poor big corporation can't handle one little guy's criticisms.
- GovernmentsGun, on 04/12/2009, -1/+4And yet there are a ton of people out there that think these people are so smart they can secretly run the world.
- indyattic, on 04/19/2009, -0/+3There are so many of them in government now I'm sort of surprised they just didn't get Obama to sign an Executive Order for them.
- ElNelo, on 04/12/2009, -0/+3 *slaps icecream cone* "REMEMBER ME FOREVER!!"
- diggadigga, on 04/12/2009, -0/+3Internet 2.0 = power to the people
- eryximachus, on 04/12/2009, -0/+3Goldman Sachs has nothing to do with capitalism. It has to do with corruption. At this point, the corruption is so deep that it almost appears Goldman Sachs is an apparatus of the government, in that it is through that firm the Fed and Treasury attempt to "stabilize" the markets.
I won't debate the wisdom of such government intervention, but surely these agents of the government should not profit handsomely for such activities.
In the end, all we can do is insure that the average citizen is suspect of anyone who has been in the employ of Goldman Sachs in large capacity. If we cannot forcibly remove this subhuman filth from our society, we can at least shun them. - dixandbub, on 04/12/2009, -0/+3You are right. It is corporate fraud right in front of our faces. Instead of these guys spending years behind bars, they are getting billions of our dollars. Pretty much every dollar I pay taxes on for my entire life is just going directly to them. I work my ass off and they get the money for a ponzi scheme. If you think Obama is any different from Bush, Clinton..., you're living in a pipe dream. It is time for America to wake up.
- sweetholymosiah, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2if he did... he would say, ***** it!
- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -0/+2So how is Paulson going GS?
- crocev, on 04/12/2009, -0/+2Sorry to say, Obama is well awake!!
- inactive, on 04/18/2009, -0/+2silencing is a form of violence and always occurs when those who object to violence, corruption and abuse speak out
- Vali585, on 04/15/2009, -0/+2Being shut down is better than being "disappeared".
- craighoxton, on 04/14/2009, -0/+2True story: I almost got a job there about 9 years ago at the bank's London offices for some internal communications job. The offices at 133 Fleet Street do not have a sign outside saying that Goldman Sachs is inside. The Australian guy who interviewed me did the classic "trash the opposition" tactic of saying rival bank Morgan Stanley operated under "internal competition" - they got results by pitting their employees against each other. Also talked to some douchebag 20-something banker who was probably my age but earning enough money to buy me and and my family.
Glad I didn't get in. -
