- mikevestal, on 08/19/2008, -0/+0Great point. Testimonials are our bread and butter for showing others what we have to offer works. We can try to share the experiences of our customers, but it will mean much more coming from them since they have nothing to gain. In fact in my business I have shared stories about a friend, my mother in law, etc. People don't necessarily believe me because I make money on the sales. However, my team is using a new approach by sharing a published book of testimonials with prospects and most of the time they can't wait to sign up. There are some prospects who have gotten several CDs, DVDs, brochures, phone calls and don't sign up. Some people have been sharing our product for several months and nothing, but when the prospect reads the testimonial book about someone with a similar issue BLAMO they can't wait to get the product.
- plc55, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1Great job Barbara. I have to confess I don't give much thought to asking people to leave testimonials despite the fact I know it is good for business. Will have to prioritize a little more in the future after reading your article.
Thanks

- lilbob15, on 08/22/2008, -0/+1Great article, Barbara. Asking for testimonials is something I have never even thought of.
Wendy - gpbrewer, on 08/22/2008, -0/+1Good observation, Barbara. I have observed that testimonials are used effectively on the LinkedIn site, but without a reminder, great reinforcement of someone's efforts is lost. Thanks!
