Not only have these biofuel loons raised the price of food worldwide, impoverished countries are cutting down their rain forests to produce palm oil. But drill for our own oil? Uh uh. Uncap our own wells and build more refineries? Uh uh. Build more nuclear plants? Uh uh. These liberal Luddites won't rest until we're all living in caves.

There's pressure on all commodities right now because the changing energy industry paradigm. Some of this lays at the feet of the huge subsidies for US farmers to produce ethanol. That will not end so long as oil prices remain stubbornly high. This is the end of cheap food.
