- Cancerkitty, on 07/01/2009, -0/+6I used to work for a company with a very similar business model. I felt dirty every day I walked in the door.
- yocouchdigga, on 07/02/2009, -0/+5a fool and his money are soon parted.
- ninjaturtles1, on 07/02/2009, -1/+4You can't save stupid people from themselves!
- jman583, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2No one likes you, go away.
- Barackalypse, on 07/02/2009, -5/+7Talk about letting the fox guard the hen house seeing as the Government runs the two biggest pyramid scams ever in the form of Social Security and the US dollar (ok, technically that's the Federal Reserve, a private banking cartel that is authorized by the Government).
- AROERS, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2VS the Stay Poor Forever scheme that is paying income / social security taxes or being on welfare???????
- whythelucky, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Why is Quixtar/Amway missing from the list?
It's the biggest scam going on in the world... - Toshibi, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1I used to work for one of those rent to own places. I never got how poor people could fall for those places. Stuff going for 3 times what it's worth. They know that only 25% or fewer of their customers are ever going to pay off any purchases. It's sad, really. Having to kick kids off the couch to yank it out of the house and then coming back in to take the TV back, what a suck ass job that was. A real downer.
- mkw408, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1They should go after the mortgage loan modification companies. They collect 3K and don't do anything. FHA All day is a prime example. Guy has a different Ferrari or Lamborghini everyday of the week. They close up shop and open up with a new business name a few days later.
- AKron, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1I didn't see churches in the list.
- IHateRegisterin, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1The Stock Market is more of a legalized way of gambling, not really a scam if you know that going in.
- PeppermintPig, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1And if we've learned anything, it's that government will use the situation they've helped create to gain more power and oppress any company, whether or not it's fishy.
- IHateRegisterin, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1I wish I had a dime for every Google based get-rich-at-home scheme out there.
- RegularUser, on 07/02/2009, -1/+1I wonder. Why stock market is not on the list.
- skyrunner30, on 07/02/2009, -1/+1This means that the government will partner up with the scam artists. This is unless they take the money from the lawsuits and give it back to the people that got scammed.
Maybe they deserved to lose their money, but how are these "ligate" business's legal in the first place....they give taxes to the government, and now they are going to get more from them in lawsuits.
Now I'm wondering if the government has scammed anything else from "us" in the past......No, probably not. - inactive, on 07/02/2009, -1/+1>> Targeting scams that prey on people vulnerable because of the down economy, federal and state officials
Good. That's useful. Now quite tasing old ladies and beating up brown people and we'll be all good.
