- MrRobotoSki, on 11/09/2008, -2/+23Why is no one digging this? Are the American People so blind, lazy and stupid? Wait don't answer that.
- inactive, on 11/09/2008, -2/+23I would rather have a Veteran who is trampled by a horse during a protest, and is willing to go on to attend more demonstrations for President than anyone I can think of. That is the kind of "change" I am looking for!!!

- sconnor, on 11/09/2008, -2/+14Good suggestion Beautyon. And for those of us who feel compelled to march, may I suggest it may be prudent to take a motorcycle helmet, earplugs, mace, & cans of spray paint for the darth vaders' helmets. I say even out the playing field since they take such joy in playing hardball!
- sphira, on 11/09/2008, -2/+14I'm sorry to say, I'm getting the picture that the fed is actually in the process of ending itself. To be replaced by something far reaching and much more sinister - We are just now entering act I
of "The very painful death of the fed".
get ready for widespread shortages and hyperinflation as early as 2010

- Striker101, on 11/09/2008, -1/+9Yes, Houston, we have a problem. This morning I Googled for "alternatives to the federal-reserve" and it brought zero returns. I agree with the large majority here; we do need to do something about the Fed's ability to manipulate the economy up their Whim.
I suggest tho, that we need also to have a real PLAN for restructuring, not with complications but with clarity.
By tomorrow I will have a post about all this on morality101.net, which I do not plan to submit here on Digg precisely because we need to do better than mindless chanting to "End the Fed" without having a clear path to the future. - Beautyon, on 11/09/2008, -0/+8The problem is, how best to do this. I'm not sure that demonstrating is the best way to get it done. More effictive would be to use alternative currencies and spread information about them. The Libery Dollar offices were raided because they were an existential threat to the Fed. Kennedy was killed because of executive order 11110. Demonstrating will not solve this problem, and anyone who wants to fix a problem should refrain from taking any action that does not result in the solution. Its like calling for a march to put out a fire; if you want to put out a fire, you get a bucket of water or an extinguisher; you do NOT demonstrate, write a petition or do any of those other 20th century protest tactict. They might make you feel good, but they do not solve anything at all.
There are many people who are ready for a debt free currency. In Totnes UK they have 'The Totnes Pound' and of course, you are aware of the Liberty Dollar. Starting a currency right now and circulating it is the best way to destroy the fed. Each Liberty Dollar in circulation does real and actual harm to the Federal Reserve system, like antibodies attacking a disease. The more of them there are, the less powerful the Fed is.
That is what they should be organizing; an intenet based, grass roots attempt to jump start mass circulaton of Liberty Dollars.
Now THAT would be a very powerful thing.
Can you imagine all Ron Paul supporters and those who are awake to the Fed and the true cause of the financial crisis (who now number in the tens of millions) all, simultaneously converting 10% of their Federal Reserve notes into Liberty Dollars, and then using them as money? - Striker101, on 11/09/2008, -0/+8How about both, at the same time, like now?
- maxtangent, on 11/09/2008, -0/+8Except that by ending the Fed, it will be impossible to pay for the Iraq occupation.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbyQB8e-rQg - inactive, on 11/09/2008, -0/+4Want to hasten the end of the Fed? Buy gold and silver IN ALLOCATED OR PHYSICAL FORM ONLY (preferably, you should be able to stub your toe on it, which means you need a bit of lead, too!)... I agree that demonstrations are pointless. Ron Paul fans swarmed a few Republican party events with new, young blood and they ignored us.
The government is even more likely to ignore us, unless they decide to attack us (and they did attack e-gold and the Liberty Dollar, wasting millions of tax dollars & valuable law enforcement resources as the economic ***** engineered by their political donors on Wall Street brewed...) - Beautyon, on 11/09/2008, -0/+3Attending demonstrations is actually more of the same; more feel good, achieve nothing distraction, while the country is ground to dust. No one in power pays attention to demonstrations anymore. They are used to discredit the ideas of the demonstrators and demonize the leaders as dangerous radicals, and after everyone has spent money and time to attend, the demonstrators go home and nothing changes.
If you want things to change, you have to think out of the box, set goals and then only do things that directly take you to the goal. Anything else is completely pointless, and that includes demonstrating in front of Federal buildings. - Beautyon, on 11/09/2008, -1/+4Provocateered violence will be used to smear the demonstrators, that is part of what is so insane about calling for an agressive show of numbers, that will not do anything to put real money in people's hands. The country is already in a staty of hysteria, the constitution is being ripped up. What needs to happen is as I said, a much different way of solving the problem, that has well defined goals and deliverables. Speak to Trevor Lyman about how to organize something really big, really quickly.
Rather than contribute money to their chip in, why not get people to exchange their worthless Federal Reserve notes for Liberty Dollars? That would be far more useful and would actually work to undermine the Fed. Paying money to organize a demonstration is a total waste of effort and funds. IMHO.
The violence will not be started by any of the real demonstrators. The police will inflitrate the crowd and kick it off. The news will report it they way they always do. If you want to solve this problem, you have to think laterally, use the internet and do not fall into the traps that everyone else has fallen into. - allowners, on 11/09/2008, -1/+4IMF is coming to inflict austerity backed by troops currently training for the task.
