Already they have raised up a moneyed aristocracy that has set the Government at defiance. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs."
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

- sheeplescareme, on 11/14/2008, -3/+61dr paul wants sound money, i want sound money...i think that we shall soon see global monopoly money, though.
- JKap, on 11/14/2008, -2/+58Bye, bye, United States sovereignty. This is what the Red-Blue Koolaid drinkers voted for whether they realize it or not--global governance.
- jana67, on 11/14/2008, -3/+58Ron Paul~always there to interpret the situation and keep us informed... Thanks!
- antizog, on 11/14/2008, -1/+51This has been long been predicted in Edward Griffith's book, "The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve". This summit is nothing more than the international banking cartel (the money printers) consolidating power. If this is allowed to happen all of mankind will be enslaved. People will spend their entire lives paying back the debt plus interest on the money that the banks printed up and gave them when they decided to borrow money.
- boulder555, on 11/14/2008, -1/+50New financial world order and LESS freedom, or competing systems and MORE freedom? Choose.
- sheeplescareme, on 11/14/2008, -2/+40one of my favourite quotes about money and more accurate now than ever before:
"all of the perplexities, confusion, and distress in america arises, not from the defects of the constitution or confederation, not from want of honor or virtue, so much as from downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit, and circulation."~john adams - inactive, on 11/14/2008, -1/+35This is another great quote from John Adams ~
"Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present Generation to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it."
I do believe as of 16 Dec 1913 (creation of the FED) John Adams is repenting in heaven ever since! And as of 4 Nov 2008 - John Adams is CURSING US - Hiltonizer, on 11/14/2008, -11/+44This is my new ***** president.
Chicks digg my president. If they don't.... they're *****' neo-cons. - truthsupporter2, on 11/15/2008, -1/+32Dr. Paul makes the following observations:
"An international single central bank and a single central world government with more controls and more regulations is a horror."
"A balanced budget, less spending, more freedom, following the Constitution, and sound money based on a free market with competing world currencies backed by sound money or metals" can emerge from this crisis if the right choices are made.
This man should be president, and I hope he keeps guiding the nation and the world. - StingingNettle, on 11/15/2008, -1/+32They are talking about giving the IMF more power and more money so it can make more loans. With what currency I'm not sure. These non free-market systems controlled by a select few need to DIE.
- Thinbev, on 11/15/2008, -1/+27I'll take private competing sound currencies over a globally controlled fiat money system any day.
Truthfully, I don't think the idea of a global central bank with a one world currency is possible. Sure, those power hungry nutcases would love to have access to such power and they'll try to get their one-world government/ central bank, but I don't think such a system would be feasible in the long run.
I hope those politicians and bankers fail miserably at whatever they do. I hope they fail and freedom wins.
- GlobalistShill, on 11/14/2008, -0/+22@citizenBNW
From the site you link to: "Status: This quotation is at least partly spurious" LOL! Let's not jump to any conclusions, now! But I tell you what, for your interest, here's a couple more! :)
"The system of banking [is] a blot left in all our Constitutions, which, if not covered, will end in their destruction... I sincerely believe that banking institutions are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity... is but swindling futurity on a large scale."
"I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground that 'all powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are preserved to the states or to the people.' ... To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specially drawn around the powers of Congress is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible of any definition. The incorporation of a bank, and the powers assumed by this bill (chartering the first Bank of the United States), have not, been delegated to the United States by the Constitution."
- Thomas Jefferson - inactive, on 11/14/2008, -1/+23Which explains why they banned the shiny rock the last time the federal reserve caused a depression?
- lazerus9, on 11/14/2008, -6/+27Don't worry President Paul...Bush and that skinny black interloper should both be gone by February if Mr. Berg and the Supreme Court get things straightened out!
- sheeplescareme, on 11/14/2008, -4/+24not everyone has a high iq. don't worry, i am sure that you will get along just fine, though. why don't you have your mum get you some milk and cookies-it's getting late.
- wariscrime, on 11/15/2008, -1/+20Skinny interloper would be enough ;-)) He's a wooden placeholder, not white, not black, ready to take any color depending on the background.
- Observant1, on 11/15/2008, -1/+17yup, was gonna say he's half white and part Cheney, the skin color isnt an issue to me, I want to see someone in office with a SOUL who plans on keeping it please. McKinney spanking Rumsfeld was awesome!
- inactive, on 11/14/2008, -3/+19Perhaps even the Living God, may yet provoke the hearts of the Electoral college.
Perhaps. - inactive, on 11/15/2008, -3/+18"If they don't.... they're *****' neo-cons."
This turns people off, you should stop speaking like that if you want to be taken seriously. This is very serious, so please, do yourself a favor and show a bit more tact... and if not for yourself, than do it for us.
Thanks. - inactive, on 11/15/2008, -4/+19LOL - You mean skinny "mulatto" interloper.
Yes - if the Lord have mercy on us they will be gone along with all of the traitors like, FED, SPLC, La Raza, MSM, etc.....
However if this does occur prepare for the brainwashed Obamaniacs to loot, riot, harm innocent people and burn everything down to the ground because their Messiah was also in cahoots with the Den of Vipers. - inactive, on 11/15/2008, -5/+19fadeout- Remember this?
http://digg.com/politics/Ron_Paul_is_Not_A_Bigot_R ...
That is where all of your assertions about the great Dr, Ron Paul were completely debunked.
Ron Paul has been elected to the 111th Congress and won his primary by an overwhelming 3 to 1 marging proving you and his other critics wrong.
You have yet to be able to show me where to find one second of video or audio that backs up your lame assertions about the great Dr. Ron Paul.
I have been his supporter since the seventies. I have listed and watched the man for a very long time.
He's not a racist, but I think you could be, that would explain why you are so ignorant that you can't even read an article.
So, be a man. Read the article and admit you are wrong. That is far better than people laughing at you for being a fool, isn't it?
That's what happens every time you accuse the great Dr. Ron Paul of bigotry or racism.
Unless of course you can find me one second of video or audio that backs up your claim. - CasaWood, on 11/14/2008, -1/+15Great explanation...our video of the day at http://hearmythunder.org
Join us Sunday to discuss the economy; http://www.blogtalkradio.com/March-of-Liberty - herozero, on 11/14/2008, -0/+13I get a choice??
- rocke86, on 11/15/2008, -4/+17How much do you hired anti-libertarian globalists make? I could really use some work.
- lazerus9, on 11/15/2008, -1/+12I use black as a descriptor only, but for the 95% of the blacks that voted for the interloper simply because of his color are all about race! They will be hurt the most by his ideas..which of course are not his own!
- thecoolestguy, on 11/15/2008, -2/+13Freedom is a pretty terrible solution isn't it? We need more government don't we?
- lazerus9, on 11/15/2008, -6/+16Alas a Zionist by any other name would still stink like sh@@@t.
- GlobalistShill, on 11/15/2008, -1/+11The man has been offering solutions since the first time I heard him, and since. What are you looking for?
- inactive, on 11/15/2008, -1/+10sgiffy, people really don't think out of the box in America. And most Americans really don't think much at all.
How many Americans know that we have had a current accounts deficit for the last 25 years?
How many Americans know that using conservative projections, our entitlement programs will put us 65 Trillion in the hole in another twenty years?
People don't know and don't want to know. They like things the way they are and they will vote for someone that doesn't scare them into thinking that the future just might no be so rosy.
Most Americans still think that someone is going to do some miracle Washington thing and bailout the economy and we will all go back to shopping at the mall.
Americans don't like Ron Paul. The Trojans didn't like Cassandra. Same deal. - Striker101, on 11/15/2008, -2/+11okay okay okay, folks. So what to DO?
- inactive, on 11/14/2008, -2/+11Little is set in stone these days...
- inactive, on 11/15/2008, -2/+10Get ready for 2012 :) Dave Weigel reports that Ron Paul’s grandson-in-law Jesse Benton says Paul “hasn’t closed out the idea of another run.”

- Lawofnations, on 11/15/2008, -0/+7Since the purchasing power of my shiny rocks [See: Title 31 U.S.C. section 5112(a)] has quadrupled in the last four years I am open to more dumb ideas.
- muckemuck, on 11/15/2008, -1/+8http://www.energybulletin.net/node/23259 ... slide #21 .. and then read the rest.. and read the book he just put out.
- zendegany, on 11/15/2008, -5/+12I wish he would run for President again. As much as I love Obama, I'd love to see Ron Paul making some changes in this country.
- kemp34, on 11/15/2008, -0/+7You are right.
- inactive, on 11/15/2008, -1/+8Because it's the digg communist forum that's why :)
- wariscrime, on 11/15/2008, -4/+10If Ron Paul won the election, he would already be dead, killed by another "mentally sick terrorist" who would declare under torture that he is the reincarnation of Saddam working for Moscow. (For Beijing too, if tortured by Cheney in person.)
- vbullinger, on 11/15/2008, -1/+6Apparently, he's looking for a magic wand to make all of those ideas a reality with no help from us (especially none from Striker101).
- kemp34, on 11/15/2008, -0/+5Speak up and you become a part of the choice.
- lazerus9, on 11/15/2008, -0/+5She would have been a much better candidate.
- Dennisisok, on 11/15/2008, -2/+7How can you support Paul and Obama at the same time? Cognitive Dissonance is rather uncomfortable.
- qwikk, on 11/15/2008, -0/+5Because his constituents vote him in, that means he's elected illegally? He is one of the best congressmen we have, why WOULDN'T he win his seat back?
- lazerus9, on 11/15/2008, -1/+6It is to the 95%
