- inactive, on 04/03/2009, -0/+28In a time of both political and economic upheaval, I think it's a fantastic idea for leaders to exchange ideas and lessons learned. Moreover, an event such as this will promote a dialog across party lines.
- bixby1, on 09/22/2008, -0/+25Detroit could use some positive exposure.
- inactive, on 09/22/2008, -0/+24The more minds working on this the better. Anything that works towards the greater common good has to be embraced and attempted!
- BeShirtHappy, on 09/22/2008, -0/+16This is very positive news indeed! Looking forward to seeing what develops next year...
- inactive, on 09/22/2008, -0/+13Great news, but why in 2009? USA needs this NOW, asap, not in a year...
- AmyVernon, on 09/22/2008, -0/+9That comment would have sounded fantastic if it had been voiced by Don LaFontaine, RIP.
- Th3_anOmoLy, on 09/23/2008, -0/+5hold the phone... Kwame wasn't positive exposure?!?!?
- crushtheenemy, on 09/23/2008, -0/+5didnt alex jones talk about this?
- DiggMasterJ, on 09/23/2008, -0/+5Looks like they will finally be revealing the Amero.
- ArmedRebel, on 09/23/2008, -0/+5Party at this guy's house, all world leaders invited. BYOB
- inactive, on 09/23/2008, -0/+5In a world of economic and political unrest. One city....
- teethandeyes, on 09/23/2008, -0/+4Detroit has it's problems but it is a great place.
The coolest and most brilliant people I know all originated in and around Detroit.
Detroit has a kick-ass and vibrant culture.
Awesome Art, Awesome Music.
Detroit rules.
Just because you are lame, don't balme it on Detroit.
You think Detroit sucks because you suck. - Tyrghast, on 09/23/2008, -0/+4Ah so it's a less secretive Bildeburg.
- masamunecyrus, on 09/23/2008, -0/+4It's about time. The government has failed the American people and American companies, and they're finally taking it into their own hands to work towards the future. It's quite refreshing to see amidst all the worries of Great Depression #2.
- BlackJackJester, on 09/23/2008, -0/+4Put your hands up for Detroit?
Anyway, I'm far more inclined to be for $25 billion to GM to modernize plants, which seems like pennies compared to the $700 billion bailout they want....Heck, if GM played their cards right, they could make that back in a couple years. - inactive, on 09/23/2008, -1/+5I have the perfect way to revive Detroit's economy, and bring in millions of dollars each year: sanction Juggalo hunting!
- inactive, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4You're so right!
- RansomHoldiay, on 09/23/2008, -0/+3i can just see the lobbyists foaming at the mouth.
- inactive, on 09/23/2008, -0/+3Wrong. You just have the right to get the ***** out. Please do so.
- SilasTomorrow, on 09/23/2008, -0/+3Every attendee gets a sheet of paper with the NAFTA agreement printed on one side, and the story of the Trojan Horse on the other.
- MateoV, on 09/23/2008, -0/+3This isn't about Detroit. It just happens to be there because Ford is a co-chairman and he has a venue to host it (Ford Field). And nothing bad is gonna happen to you in Detroit unless you walk alone down some street which is nowhere near where you'd be anyways...like every other city! sheesh
- inactive, on 09/23/2008, -0/+3On behalf of my entire town, please allow me to say, "***** you, Idaho."
- teethandeyes, on 09/23/2008, -0/+3Dugg for Detroit!
Although I live in SW Florida now, Detroit will always be my home.
Awesome place. - SilasTomorrow, on 09/23/2008, -0/+2That was beautiful.
- doublsh0t, on 09/23/2008, -0/+2They're waiting for someone more...ah...capable to speak with.
- kishosingh, on 09/23/2008, -0/+2I think it is the meeting of economics and politics. Both leader will meet in the summit.
- doublsh0t, on 09/23/2008, -0/+2and less international
- kolinkoolface2, on 09/23/2008, -0/+2I live an hour out of detroit and it's sad that the people from the suburbs only come down to the city to watch the lions, tigers or wings, and than they leave. It would be nice to get some real leadership and have a city that is proud of itself. It all starts with leadership.
- SilasTomorrow, on 09/23/2008, -0/+2........um..........what?
- inactive, on 09/23/2008, -0/+2People feel sorry for innocent animals. But taking Juggalos out and only be a good thing
- BTime, on 09/23/2008, -0/+2So leaders of 50+ major failing companies and get together and discuss why they're failing? I predict more fail.
- Nubli, on 09/23/2008, -3/+4Should be interesting. Downtown Detroit is decent, but the outskirts are pretty sketch.
- grat2001, on 09/23/2008, -2/+3Detroit Suck City! (And I was born and raised there so I have the right to say it)
- SilasTomorrow, on 09/23/2008, -1/+2Whose going chicken huntin'?
- specialbuddy1, on 09/23/2008, -2/+3The Amero isn't real.
- diggdallas, on 09/23/2008, -1/+2I removed the chair from the highway, but the frog jumped so high that I can't find the strawberries.
- inactive, on 09/23/2008, -1/+2*East St. Louis, IL
- FDDIcent, on 09/23/2008, -1/+2Why not, we hunt everything else?
- grat2001, on 09/25/2008, -0/+1I already did bitch!
- inactive, on 09/23/2008, -0/+1Good luck then hope this will be successful event.
- RansomHoldiay, on 09/23/2008, -1/+2we all are in the same boat ass hole. you're not special.
- AbsurdParadox, on 09/23/2008, -0/+1And by "make that back", you mean "never pay it back", right?
- Eskaa, on 09/23/2008, -0/+1wow this doesn't sound surprisingly similar to the 2020 summit Kevin Rudd put together or anything.
- deusdiabolus, on 09/25/2008, -0/+1If he didn't, he's probably planning to. I guess that's ONE way to clean up Detroit...have a major national event take place there so that you have to send in the Homeland Security Armada and put the whole city on lockdown. They'll probably be testing a few new high-tech torture devices on the inevitable protestors...
- sahar101, on 02/19/2009, -0/+0good news...

- fonetikly, on 09/23/2008, -7/+4WTF? Detroit? Was Beirut booked or something?
The Economy and Politics are scary enough without having to also be in Detroit. - metapop, on 09/23/2008, -7/+3there are going to be lots of happy muggers in 2009. everyone should receive a swag bag with a complimentary chain wallet.
