- quakerorts, on 03/07/2008, -0/+7Just send a note with the check! Most people I've talked to already know they're getting a check. News like that spreads quickly! Spending $42 Million to let people know what they already know, is something only a government bureaucrat would love. Hey, maybe it's a Post Office stimulus plan.
- Yetisquatch, on 03/08/2008, -0/+4i hope they send me another notice when they send the check saying the check has been sent. and it needs a prepaid postcard that we can send back telling them that we got the check and what we spent it on. then we can be bff.
- IrishJoe, on 03/07/2008, -0/+4What an incredible bunch of incompetent boneheads the Bush Administration are! As if they haven't created enough national debt they add an addition $42 Million to tell us what we've already heard on the news and have been talking about for weeks. Can we please have the election to fire this assemblage of assclowns yet?
- Jacob3d, on 03/08/2008, -0/+2So dumb, for $42, 000, 000 they could have developed a system to get messages out to everyone over the internet. That would probably even be enough to start to give people who don't have a computer a cheap e-mail only appliance for things like this. It's is so silly that we are in the year 2008 and our entire country is not wired yet, so many lame excuses.
Hell give everyone a kick ass rig and have it fight cancer or research global warming with the spare cycles or something. Then you could sell those research CPU cycles to universities and other countries, give the people back a cut, and then we wouldn't need a stupid stimulus plan in the first place.
