- SheilaNoya, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2I retired during the prosperous Clinton years. Before I retired, we were hiring college grads on a steady basis and paying them an additional $30,000 bonus if they agreed to stay with the company for 2 years. We had to, because at that time a lot of young people saw that it was so easy to find a great job that they were "job hopping" and switching companies as soon as they got a better offer.
Things certainly have changed during the last 8 years. I feel sorry for anyone trying to enter the workplace today. - Swivelstick, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1With the current economic situation maybe people have realised that those with MBAs are only good at screwing the economy by using false accounting and lining their own pockets.
