- snlsucksnow, on 12/07/2007, -0/+2Fresh out of college I couldn't get a loan for a car so I asked my parents to cosign. I didn't see it as a big deal and they didn't either but I ende dup having to take a second job just to make sure I could pay them back. If I had to do it over again, I would have bought a cheaper used car because cosigning put SO much pressure on me at the time. That's one side this article doesn't cover but great article nonetheless. Dugg

WHY would you have them sign it if it's your loan? Because it's fun to play "sign the loan"? - outpour, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1If the bank rejects your loan application because of your credit score or what-have-you you need a cosigner in order to get the loan, even if you plan to pay it off yourself.
