That's why the "two party system" works so well. Each feeds off the failings of the others constituency.

The Democrats and Republicans represent two different versions of big corporate power - not just any "big" corporation - but "politically well connected" big corporate power. I often ask myself if these politically connected and so-called capitalists are really working for the government, or if the government is their agent instead?

Anyways, I'm assuming the 1.1% growth rate would also include a cut in government spending? The article doesn't say, but that's what I think would be logical.
