- jlhoben, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2Globalism run amuk. The control grid is taking away all possibilities for self sufficiency - heating, food, security, privately owned gold. Wake up! Don't believe the spin this isn't inevitable it's profiting from other peoples' misery.
- oldgal, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Who mandated corn for biofuel? Congress? If we are going to mandate a crop, it should be marijuana - then we could grow our own fuel and have fun doing it.
- retr0grade, on 06/10/2008, -0/+1Grain "goes farther" than meat, in terms of calories delivered... but meat tastes better.
- MoneyEnergy, on 06/10/2008, -1/+2Unfortunately alot of that corn goes to feeding animals for slaughter. If there was less beef-eating, there would also be more corn and grain etc. available for human consumption. Grain goes alot farther than meat.
- inactive, on 06/10/2008, -0/+1It won't be long before we can't afford corn that we can't eat. How ***** ironic.
- StingingNettle, on 06/10/2008, -0/+1from agora financial: "Corn has set a record of its own. The cold, wet conditions we’ve been telling you about all spring just got a whole lot worse… parts of Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota and other Midwestern states suffered a weekend of heavy rains and floods. Here’s a photo sent by a reader in Wisconsin… this “creek” is usually narrow enough to jump over: http://www.ezimages.net/upload/5MIN/creek.bmp "
