- HollowMarkeD, on 11/17/2007, -1/+9America has a tough road ahead, hang on tight.
- NYC83, on 11/17/2007, -0/+6and don't forget, the american auto companies have been handing out low interest loans like crazy to anyone who will take them over the past 5 years in a desperate bid to prop up their failing businesses. if people start defaulting on them Ford and GMAC are in big trouble.
- sockpuppets, on 11/17/2007, -1/+5Suckers! I already live in my car.
- iFinance, on 11/17/2007, -0/+3Lending companies are tightening the standards on all of their loans, auto loans included. The used car market will probably prosper from the fallout from this.
- mal1964, on 11/17/2007, -0/+1I still would rather be on a tough road in America than any other road in the world!
- quidpro, on 11/17/2007, -1/+2I thought about this too a while back, to be honest. But really, cars are financially very different than a house. If this survey had caught me about a month ago, I probably would've responded the same way..."Well yeah, now that you ask me, I AM concerned!" But now that I've had time to digest it, I don't think it's a big deal. And it makes sense that the younger people surveyed were the most concerned, because well, the experience with loans and such just isn't there yet.
- mal1964, on 11/17/2007, -0/+1Loser, I'm laying on my bed in good old moms basement.
- mventure, on 11/17/2007, -0/+0Agreed, Car loans and auto loans are very different, but at the end of the day, the money paid by the consumer comes out of the same paycheck and the money lent to the consumers come form the same banks. I think if the banks feel a pinch somewhere, (like a huge writedown of their home loan portfolio) that they tend to react in all lending aspects of their business.
- anachronaut, on 11/18/2007, -1/+1And that's exactly the point. He's an agent provocateur trying to make the Ron Paul supporters look like even worse spammers than they already are.

Funny how his troll comments for RP started showing up immediately after I started pointing out how livefr33ordi3 was an agent provocateur... - Petrov101, on 11/17/2007, -0/+0Very good point. Not until age 38 was I able to purchase a brand new car. Before that I bought only used cars (with all their problems) but I was able to save money. I saved enough in fact to qualify for a two year loan. Interest rate = 0%. I paid NO interest. It took 20 years, but now I've accumulated enough money in my "car fund" to not have to pay interest on a car loan ever again.
If people spent a little time doing the math before they invest in big ticket items things will probably work out better for them in the long run. It's not rocket science. - inactive, on 11/17/2007, -2/+2Well that means Toyota is *****.
- sockpuppets, on 11/17/2007, -1/+1You're making me more likely to not vote for him just by spamming these forums with your RP posts.
- Libertarium, on 11/17/2007, -2/+2ALL OF THIS will be fixed if YOU VOTE Dr. Ron Paul into office. He is our Only Hope for America.
