- inactive, on 09/27/2008, -5/+112Why doesn't Peter Schiff reach over and strangle the little dwarf?
He never let Schiff talk, and Schiff was exactly right on. - synthaxx, on 09/28/2008, -2/+73That little ferret on the left is exactly who i think about when i imagine who's to blame for all of this.
Good luck to all my American friends, you're gonna need it. - encrypteduser, on 09/28/2008, -2/+52Doesn't this guy remind you of Mathew Lesko? FREE MONEY FROM THE GOVERNMENT!!! Shut the ***** up already.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKbE1I_ih9Y - Santiak, on 09/28/2008, -1/+49Obama and McCain support the 700 billion bailout despite the fact that 75% of Americans oppose it.
One more demonstration that they belong to two factions of the same party. A party owned by large business, corporations, and financial institutions.
Socialism for the rich. Free market and tough love is only for the poor and middle class.
America is screwed. - inactive, on 09/28/2008, -0/+48More professional wrestling presented as news. Schiff was right on, but the little dwarf kept jumping on him. This is exactly what is wrong with cable news. Even the financial news is infected with the infotainment virus.

- Markers, on 09/28/2008, -0/+29Peter Schiff is 100% correct - Americans need to scale back their lifestyle and start producing and saving.
- phenry, on 09/28/2008, -1/+29Great Scott Horton interview of Schiff here:
http://www.scotthortonshow.com/2008/09/24/antiwar- ...
He knows his stuff! - Yeshuas, on 09/28/2008, -1/+27Get him Peter!
- xcbxcb, on 09/28/2008, -1/+25I promise, on behalf of all Diggers, the following:
If I ever meet the dude with the glasses, I'll give him a noogie.
Come together, Digg. Unite for great justice. - regicide, on 09/28/2008, -1/+17“Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.” How about no?
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -0/+14Why is it that every time Peter Schiff is on TV, they have some retarded moron sitting next to him to make a lot of noise and not let him speak? If you watch Peter's interviews throughout the last several years you'll see that he's been a 100% right on all of his predictions. And the people who've made all the noise, like this ***** idiot sitting next to him today, have been dead wrong.
What was that ***** ***** name even? He kept throwing in lies about Russia and Iran as if they had anything to do with this. Somebody should punch that ***** in the nose. And what was his point about who won WWII? - pcflea, on 09/28/2008, -0/+14Why is it that when a person is yelling and flailing their arms, they consider themselves to be right?
If anything, they appear to be drowning more than anyone else.
It's getting difficult to lie these days. =) - inactive, on 09/28/2008, -0/+13Here is a full length interview of Peter Schiff on the ScottHortonShow. Unfortunately you need to download the whole show to hear the interview. It's located ~ at the 20 minute mark:
http://dissentradio.com/radio/08_09_24_show.mp3 - alamedaman, on 09/28/2008, -0/+13Schiff was Ron Paul's economic adviser I believe... anyone shocked? RP or someone close to him being correct about this *****
- badqat, on 09/28/2008, -0/+10We know the issues that led to this "crisis"...unsound monetary policy, unsound credit policy, unsound lending policies, all which lead to a housing bubble because housing was increasing in "value" well beyond the rates of inflation.
The real goal of the "bail out" is to once again, prop up housing prices, allow for unfettered credit, and to keep this scheme chugging while avoiding the correction that will come, regardless of attempts to stave it off.
And Barack Obama would like you to know that this isn't the time to assign blame, as he takes "credit" for this "bail out".
We're screwed. - hiphoc, on 09/28/2008, -0/+10Peter & Paul are the MANNNNNN!!!
- PhilThePhenom, on 09/28/2008, -1/+10You know....
I didn't think I could have a good laugh at the economic collapse, but this video proved me wrong. - TeCuervo, on 09/28/2008, -0/+9Well, I am no economist, I do have an uneducated opinion probably influenced by the public, media and the government. All I do know is that I cannot afford a house.
- xerigen, on 09/28/2008, -0/+8and THAT makes you smarter than a whole lot of Americans.
- darkened, on 09/28/2008, -0/+8No letting the free market correct everything is WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN. Home prices NEED TO FALL, they need to be inline with income so that you can feasibly buy a home WITH NO MORTGAGE. Even today that is basically impossible unless you are buying a home in detroit or cleveland except there's no jobs there any more.
FREE MARKET MUST FIX THIS NOT THE GOVERNMENT. THE GOVERNMENT CAUSED ALL OF THIS. - bighed03, on 09/28/2008, -2/+10....just another crony pushing the new world order agenda.
- mcsenget, on 09/28/2008, -0/+8Peter Schiff endorsed Ron Paul, fyi.
- rootsm3, on 09/28/2008, -1/+9Somebody punch that four eyed *****. He is out of his mind. Who gave him a book deal? What does he know? Who the ***** is he?
- adarkmethod, on 09/28/2008, -0/+8Peter Schiff is 100% correct. He just said pretty much everything I've said about all of this, but much more eloquently than I have
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -0/+7Jesus, I wanted to reach thru the screen and strangle that whiny guy.
- Clark3934, on 09/28/2008, -0/+7WHO WON THE SECOND WORLD WAR?!?!?!?!??!?!
- raeshao, on 09/28/2008, -2/+9Someone slap some sense into that shrill bastard.
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -0/+7Schiff makes the exact same point I made in an article a few days ago. He even used the same analogy of America being like a junkie that needs to go cold turkey to kick its addiction.
"America the Financial Junkie"
"If Americans must feel the pain, then let us feel it now instead of handing it off to our grandchildren. Perhaps that pain will awaken the dormant Revolutionary Spirit of the American People. The current proposal is like a shot of Heroin for the addict. Has America been reduced to a junkie looking for its next economic fix?"

http://dissentradio.com/radio/08_09_24_show.mp3 - odigity, on 09/28/2008, -0/+6Ron Paul uses the same analogy. It's a useful one. Much like The Matrix is a great analogy for our controlled media/education.
- Stormwern, on 09/28/2008, -0/+5My thought exactly. What does the average viewer get out of watching two "experts" with completely oposite viewpoints arguing with each other. Obviously either one or both of them is wrong, and unless you knew the subject indepth already you wont be able to tell who. If I couldn't get real news from the internet I'd go nuts.
Though I agree with all of Schiff's arguments, I don't think America would come out of a resession as the #1 economy of the world, and that would mean loosing one of the few things that America has had going for it the last 30 years, the competitive edge of being the center for economics, trade and big ventures in general. - thespiff, on 09/28/2008, -0/+5He kept accusing Schiff of contradicting himself, but he certainly was not. He made perfect sense.
I just can't comprehend this theory that the government could turn a profit on this bailout. If the loans they are buying were worth something, then why is it that nobody else but the US Government is willing to buy them? If they were worth something, we wouldn't have a crisis. - mdonato, on 09/28/2008, -0/+5The government will make money off this deal. Yeah right!! I got a bridge to sell the rude little man.
- Bjorn2404, on 09/28/2008, -0/+5Did you READ BARRONS?!!!! Did you READ BARRONS?!!! Man, that guy is annoying. Why would Barrons have a definitive end-all solution? There are plenty of opinions by economists all around the world but I'm in agreement with the fiscal conservative, free market principals, displayed by Peter Schiff in this video, who say that we shouldn't do anything.
- Cadenzah, on 09/28/2008, -0/+5Spot on.
- pcflea, on 09/28/2008, -1/+6We need to stop printing money out of thin air.
We also need to stop throwing it away in Iraq.
This economic collapse is obviously part of a bigger plan--------------> NAFTA
Ms. Amero is going to kill Mr. Dollar. - Shakermaker, on 09/28/2008, -0/+4You're a ***** idiot.
We MAY need a rescission to reset the economy, but ***** you if you think that my family should starve because of your retarded views.
A great depression would last a long time, and make the Great Depression look like a hiccup. - mcsenget, on 09/28/2008, -0/+4well, that's only part of the reason he doesn't support it.
- potatomato, on 09/28/2008, -0/+4A race to see who can speak the loudest and fastest...
Slow and steady ftw. - Meiun, on 09/28/2008, -1/+5RETURN TO GOLD and SILVER as the Constitution says! Fake money, even 700 billion of it, x 0 is STILL ZERO!
- badqat, on 09/28/2008, -3/+7Because keeping an artificially inflated bubble around is better, so when it eventually breaks on its own weight, we'll have a true depression?
- tajitj, on 09/28/2008, -1/+5Pledge to support a 3rd party debate. The Dems and GOP are the problem, not the solution.

You need to hear what the other names on your ballot have to say. - inactive, on 09/28/2008, -0/+4I fear for the stability of the country.
- stealthc, on 09/28/2008, -1/+5There isn't enough wealth left in the country for a Roosevelt to pillage. The next president will be Carter or Hitler. Pray for a Carter.
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -0/+3These Investment Bank CEOs should have a gut check and jump out the window. That's what Real margin-trading-over-leveraging-gambling-rambling Robber Barrons did back in the old days. But these days, pussys walk away with Hundred Millions of dollars of severance package.
- PeppermintPig, on 09/28/2008, -1/+4Are you saying we have a free market? I wish! If everyone knew the score and supported liberty, they'd be divesting away from these stupid financial systems and voting out all the corruption...
Alas, morons vote for morons. - sentime, on 09/28/2008, -0/+3Bankers are the only winners in wars.
- mcsenget, on 09/28/2008, -2/+5the same reason Schiff won't jump and support the bailout without thinking it through first: self control
