  • downs1, on 07/19/2008, -10/+15Another "American Institution" bites the dust! MacDonald's is on its way down. In time, it will suffer economically and close many of its stores. There will be much more to come before that happens, but it will come. The "in your face" tactics of the gay community are getting a little tiresome. Many homosexuals are professionals such as lawyers or business people with legal savvy and economic power. They are using such positions to "force" the non-gay community to accept them. The conflict goes much deeper when they are allowed into public schools to peddle their life style to our kids, who aren't old enough to stand against the well planned deceptive expertise of these folks. In the meantime, Bible clubs and Christian activities are banned from public schools. In the end, the gay community will lose. But in the meantime they ruin lives and cause untold pain and suffering. In that sense, they are really no different from terrorists who "kill" without feeling.

Fast foods are not healthy - Yes, they are changing the menu, but with the economy as it is, we find ourselves eating out less, and we never really supported fast food restaurants. The list, thoughfulwi provided, is lengthy yet, there are businesses I have no choice to do business with. I can't boycott every business that supports homosexual lifestyles. And while we always attack the agenda of homosexual lifestyles, how many of us who claim to be Christian lead exemplary lives - do we contribute to the moral decay of our society by multiple divorces, out of wedlock children, dysfunctional families, watching inappropriate movies, tv, music, etc; not raising children to respect others, to show them love, tough love...I could go on.

    I have known some over zealot - in your face "Christians" who condemn everyone to hell, who interpret the Bible to their liking - bringing Christ down to their level instead of living by his words. And what happens? They rant and rave about homosexuals spewing hate instead of love. We condemn and condemn, and condemn some more. How many of you every pray for them without first removing the splinters in your own eyes? Homosexual acts are sinful, just as fornication, adultery, lust and pride are. How many Christians call the networks and complain about the programs that are putrid and disgusting, yet are probably watched by "Christians" because they find them funny but go against everything that builds up the Kingdom of God?

    We may be fodder in the end, and I know we need to speak out against immorality. We need to safeguard our children and raise them to be virtous without teaching them to be judgmental, bitter, and godless if we think we are above everyone - we are all sinners.

I am glad he/she is so righteous. Also, there is nothing wrong with a hamburger and fries every so often. Yes, fast food as a regular meal is not healthy. At the same time there are some healthy items you can go over board on and get into health problems. All things in moderation. Proveritas, also sounds like one of those that can tolerate big brother watching over us to ensure we don't smoke, eat, ourselves to death, or tell us how big or small a car to drive. His/her brand of religion I will do without. BTW, I am Christain, a conservative, and a Constitutionalist.

  • 10QGZus, on 07/19/2008, -6/+12I haven't eaten in McDonald's in years. My kids are grown now, pay for their own fast food and they refuse to eat there because they just don't like the food.

    When my kids were younger, we would stop there because of the happy meals. Our kids loved them and still have some of the trinkets they collected. Some are actually collectibles now and may be worth something someday.

    It's true the McDonald's has been an American tradition for decades. It will stop now because of their decision not only to support homosexuality, but to openly promote it. My grandchildren won't be part of an American tradition of going to McDonald's and playing in the PlayPlace and getting happy meals. It's a shame. Even though the food isn't all that good, we have some fun memories of this place.

    McDonald's has made their choice. They should look to what happened with Ford. Boycotts do work. The moral foundation of our children is more important than saving a few bucks on a fast food meal.

    We'll be spending our money at In-N-Out Burger. Too bad you midwesterners and east coasters don't know about this California fast food place. It is Christian owned and operated and has been voted best fast food burger for years. It's a great family place. Chik-fil-A just came out here in the last few years - we go there too.

We have two within a few miles and it is our only choice when a quick burger is in order. Companies who honor God will always have my business. Time to make a run for lunch today. They can't send money to churches or conservative causes so why do they think they will get away with being allowed to support radical homosexual groups that have the main goal of legalizing same sex marriage. McDonalds is a family restaurant and it is plain foolishness for them to support a cause that offends their main customer base with the goal of appeasing a small percentage of their business. Stockholders of McDonald's should speak out on this to the leadership of McDonalds as this can only have a negative effect.

    I used to be a loyal McDonald's customer and I worked there in high school but my family and 2 kids won't be going there anytime soon and I have told everyone I know about what McDonalds now stands for. I am just one of 200,000 so do the math. Anyone in marketing knows that negative word of mouth can do some serious long term damage to a brand so McDonalds can say what they want about hate but when it hits their sales and profits you may hear them changing their tune like Ford did.
