- siszam, on 12/28/2007, -3/+36Or you could just mind your own business and not act like a jealous tool. Big brother doesn't care about you but they've trained you to be a good little slave, haven't they?
- sajnikanth, on 12/28/2007, -3/+24Aren't you a piece of work?
- baalzebub, on 12/28/2007, -3/+19buried as spam, i am not going to help the IRS since they are one of the biggest crooks in the nation...
- chubbybubba, on 12/28/2007, -0/+13"Don't steal from the government what the government can steal from you." - IRS
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -2/+13No, you don't get paid. The article specifically states that if you are reporting an individual, their yearly income must be over $200,000.00
Add to that the fact that your actions would peg the douchebaggery meter. I really hope you are just being sarcastic...
You do realize that if you ratted on your sister-in-law, you'd ultimately screw your brother. (if married, the spouse is also responsible to pay those taxes, even if you are filing separately). - seks03, on 12/28/2007, -1/+12Your a douche, this is family you retard, havent you heard of loyalty, you should be watching out for your close ones instead of yourself. You FAIL
- nicholai, on 12/28/2007, -0/+8I just hope shifty is being sarcastic to show how ***** up this is.
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -5/+12All of us should be responsible and devoted to blowing the whistle on corporate tax evaders. Multi-million dollar (and higher) companies should have to pay their share!
- hadak, on 12/28/2007, -1/+8Isn't that the kind of person you beat the ***** out of in highschool?
- santaliqueur, on 12/28/2007, -2/+9Yeah, let's blame the guy who is going to donate his entire multibillion dollar fortune. Explain how giving away 99% of your money is a tax dodge.
- SouthsideIrish, on 12/28/2007, -0/+6And the fact that Bill knows how he wants to spend his money, better than the government would. Heck, lets let the guy keep all of his money and see how many people he helps, and how many diseases he wipes out.
- aspec, on 12/28/2007, -0/+6Do they have to pay taxes on those earnings?
- exegesisClique, on 12/28/2007, -2/+7As much as I hate paying taxes, since it just goes to the FED anyway, I'm afraid I'm going to have to burst your bubble. All the states that were in the Union at the time ratified the 16th amendment. Thats just the way it is. You can try and wiggle around and argue about punctuation and capitalization errors but the fact remains, the 16th amendment was passed.
- dimebonics, on 12/28/2007, -0/+5Yeah, it's so legal that the IRS has to use such terms as "voluntary compliance" to help obfuscate the issue. If it was so cut and dry, the IRS tax code book wouldn't have more pages than the Oxford Dictionary.
- kurtwinter, on 12/28/2007, -1/+5You better use that money to air condition hell, well you know where this is going. Oh, and ***** you. Turning in your own sister. ***** bastard.
- logicalnoise, on 12/28/2007, -2/+6you won't get paid anything. The new program requires that there be over 2 mil being witheld from the irs and teh main individual responisble would have to make over 200,000 dollars a year. you've got one base covered not the 2nd.
- TheBuzzKiller, on 12/28/2007, -1/+5is your name a joke or was ronpaul2008 taken?
- Nichiren, on 12/28/2007, -1/+5Yeah seriously... death taxes, inheritance taxes, etc... I'd even count the capital gains tax. I already paid taxes on the money I made so I shouldn't be taxed on that money again.
- OttPrime, on 12/28/2007, -0/+3I've seen a couple of slams on the IRS in this thread and I thought I would mention one thing. The IRS doesn't actually create or influence the tax law in this country. They simply enforce it. The onus is on the House and Senate to create fair tax law.
- ronpaul20008, on 12/28/2007, -7/+10I blow the whistle on the Hilton's 2 billion dollar "charity".... and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. That's nothing but a huge tax dodge... Where's my reward?
- scabbers, on 12/28/2007, -4/+7Nobody likes a snitch.
- StoneLox, on 12/28/2007, -2/+5only a bitch would snitch
- ThePikey, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2But everyone loves the Schmoo.
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2No, they don't pay ***** in taxes! Corporate income tax collections came in a $315 billion last year... Individual income tax collections were $1.25 trillion!
- 89992, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2The reason why I say this is because they put a tax on my labor which is equivalent to requiring me to "work for them" 20% of the time. This is the very definition of involuntary servitude in my opinion. Lets put it this way, if you invest in a stock and it costs $500 to buy it. You then sell the stock for $700 resulting in a profit or gain of $200. When you are taxed, are you taxed on $700 or $200? You are only taxed on the $200 because that was your "profit". So, your "cost basis" was $500. You don't get taxed on the $500 because that was the cost you need to put out in order to make a profit of $200. The problem I have is that the "cost basis" of me working at my job is considered $0.00. Even though I spend 40 hours of my time per week. All of that money that comes in is taxed. Are you telling me that my time is worth absolutely nothing? If my time is worth nothing then why are people willing to pay me for it? If they didn't take money out of my paycheck each week, I would not be saying they are criminals. To answer your second question. I do use the services that my local property taxes pay for yes, roads, streetlights, police and fire departments, etc. But, as far as FEDERAL income taxes are concerned, no I do not use those services.
- nvisn, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2Tattling on a company is one thing, but I wouldn't rat out my worst enemy to these ***** for a million dollars.
/***** the IRS - dimebonics, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2I agree with most of the sentiments... getting pissed at corporations that evade taxes or try and "cheat" the system doesn't solve the problem at hand. Abolish the IRS, cut wasteful spending to close that $290 billion tax "gap" and call it a day. Oh, and if you're talking about private wages, I have two words for you ***** at the IRS: VOLUNTARY COMPLIANCE.
- 89992, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2When are people going to realize that the solution is to lower spending rather than increasing revenues.
- 89992, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2True, however the tactics they use are born of fear and intimidation. Many times, they don't even follow their own regulations. However, who is going to question them? Nobody.
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2Corporate America and the top 1% who run it continue to bend us all over and sodomize us with their monster-sized, thunderous veiny *****! Gotta love capitalism.
- chris9902, on 12/28/2007, -1/+3you go first.
- purpmint008, on 12/28/2007, -1/+3Corporations pay their taxes by raising the prices of their goods. You, the people, pay the corporate taxes.
- 89992, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2You fail to realize that the actions of the IRS are actually the actions that are criminal.
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2Really dude? Tell that to Ed and Elaine Brown in NH. They tried to use the letter of the law and failed! They are each serving more than 5 years. I don't think the taxes we pay are constitutional or fair, but that doesn't mean you can get away without paying them until something drastically changes.
- Neem, on 12/28/2007, -0/+2I really hope Im missing the sarcasm here, but a RP supporter avocating for the IRS instead of personal choice of how to spend his fortune is a bit outlandish
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_protester_statuto ... (actual working link)
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1They did not pay the taxes that the government insisted that they owed. They were charged with tax evasion. Either they paid what the government demanded, settled with the IRS or they were going to jail, no question about it. Whether the unpaid tax was accurate or even legal is irreverent.
They fought the charges and ultimately ended up in prison. I'd call that failing (it doesn't matter that they would not accept physical evidence, Ed refused to continue to participate).
There have been many different tactics used to argue the legality of federal income tax and none ever hold up in court. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_protester_statuto ... - republicker, on 12/28/2007, -2/+3The was once a time when rats were dealt with accordingly and put out w/ the daily garbage. In 2007 though, its looked upon as a good honest american quality. lol
- brentinkc, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1Yeah,I report crimes. And if you want to come give me some stitches, I'll have a shotgun waiting.
- 89992, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1That is exactly why people hate the IRS.
- FearFactory, on 12/28/2007, -1/+2If I caught someone trying to steal my cheat secrets secretly they would mysteriously be erased from this space-time continuum very shortly.
- 4U55l3NlNJ4, on 12/28/2007, -1/+2making wealth from taxpayers money... sounds corrupt to me... whistle-blow corrupt peeps all you want but getting wealthy via taxpayers is just stealing.
- inactive, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1Aww, you're just like Jeanie in Ferris Bueller.
- ronpaul20008, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1Ed Brown went first... He's being tortured and gassed in prison.......
- Markpdotcom, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1Hey! What about Strongbad?
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1Voluntary compliance doesn't hold water.
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1Wrong! You must be voting for Ron Paul :)
- podrag, on 12/31/2007, -0/+1Snitching in order to make more money for the douchetards in government... Do you realize that will make you more evil than the guy who never paid his taxes in the first place? Rather than snitch on him, why not learn from him? The less money that goes on to the Military Industrial Complex the better.
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1Dude, I knew you were a snitch! I bet you'd rat out your own family just to make a few bucks.
- seandaly, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1Spoken like a true rat! Do I detect guilt?
