- taibo, on 03/27/2009, -2/+46Wow, talk about a misleading title. I was hoping for a story about a vicious invasion of Australia by the Chinese army, but I guess this is interesting too.
- petebot, on 03/27/2009, -0/+38If you've ever played Risk, you know Australia is the key to dominating the planet..
- frequentFlyer, on 03/27/2009, -3/+31Australia, ***** yeah!!
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -0/+18China is smart to be buying up all the natural resources and precious-metals mines they can get their hands on now.
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -1/+14Yeah, regardless of how interesting this story is im going to bury for the most deceptive title i've ever read on digg.
- yerdaddy, on 03/27/2009, -3/+15That perception is inaccurate.
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -3/+13You are a ***** idiot
- protogenxl, on 03/27/2009, -2/+11But Australia has no issues handing over control of the Internet in their county to China.
- aufte, on 03/27/2009, -1/+10Wouldn't the Chinese ask for California or Texas instead? Us Canadians aren't the ones who owe them massive amounts of money.
- anthropodeus, on 03/27/2009, -1/+9or, we could just increase trade and globalize peacefully. one thing's certain: if america and china go to war, i'm getting the ***** out of america!
- sanguinekane, on 03/27/2009, -1/+9What the ***** are you talking about? Have you ever been to Australia?
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -1/+8I'm not saying you're wrong, but I also find that it hard to believe. Could you provide any links?
- Gareth321, on 03/27/2009, -0/+6I learned all my important world facts that way. Bush's version was from 1942.
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -0/+6Plan for China to rule the financial world:
1) Use foreign reserves to buy every major gold+silver mining company regardless of price.
2) Tell mining companies send all gold+silver into China's bank vaults rather than selling any of it.
3) Announce to the world that the RMB is backed by gold+silver.
4) Wait for commerce to shift to RMB from Dollar or Euro. - aufte, on 03/27/2009, -4/+10I think western workers need to stop their companies from sending all their work to China.
- seanayb, on 03/27/2009, -1/+6shame the united states didnt reject the notion of collectively selling our souls to china long ago
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -6/+11China is very observant.
Japan got destroyed by going to war over limited resources with the White imperial powers of WW2.
China is now buying the same resources knowing the White mans greed is stronger then any old national allegiance....greed is king at the temple of Wall Street .
Japan blundered into open conflict with the Americans,British,Australians and Dutch ...China is showing a velvet touch acquiring companies like a chessboard pieces.
China knows that America is still playing by the same antiquated rules....Battleships and Carriers rule the waves as China rules the bank.
The only answer America has to the China takeover is
War - DarkRellik, on 03/27/2009, -0/+5"Go to Canada, that's where you go when you don't want to fight: Just come chill in Canada" =P
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -0/+5Next they'll be telling the Australians they can't let the Dalai Lama into their country.
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -1/+5chinese schoolchildren used to dominate the classroom with their adept use of the pythagorean theorem. no longer just classroom warriors they are now going to dominate the world!
- bloodguard, on 03/27/2009, -1/+5They'd have to fight Mexico for California. They're pretty hard core about the Reconquista.
- budgetguitar, on 03/27/2009, -0/+4Nothing is more profitable than war. NOTHING.
- inactive, on 03/28/2009, -0/+4China stopped being Communist years ago mate, 1979 is when it began...
Its more like Nationalist corporatist with elements of the old rule still in place while 50% of all industries are owned by someone in government. You still can't buy land, only rent it...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_economic_refo ... - idavidtang, on 03/27/2009, -1/+5They for many, do not welcome their Chinese overlords.
- Khiva, on 03/28/2009, -0/+3Well, they already did.
http://www.ajc.com/services/content/printedition/2 ... - shylove, on 03/27/2009, -1/+4It is kind of a question if a state run company is preferable to multi-national corporations. Now I would think that a multi-national corporation should be committed to the welfare of the entire planet and all of the people and therefor would want to look after the general interests of all people in the world and the world's general environment not just their own prrofits
I would think they would also have a vested interest in preventing and discouraging war also rather than rooting for it
From a worldcentric and geocentric point of views wars make no sense at all. Wars would certainly be a false profit. - lex0nyc, on 03/27/2009, -1/+4Yes, they want to harvest Vancouver's vast holdings of ***** weather that makes you sick all the time.
- rollin03, on 03/28/2009, -0/+3China doesn't recognize the rights of individuals, and therefore has no rights.
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -0/+3Thats not being sneaky.
- mheyk, on 03/28/2009, -0/+3Anyone up for buying an island and naming it REmerica?
- orsinoduke, on 03/27/2009, -0/+3It is not a surprise. Just don't complain if China rejects a foreign purchase of their brand next time.
- dododohead, on 03/27/2009, -1/+4wow digitusanonymus. Amazing. I cannot believe people like you still say that kind of stuff and actually believe the ***** that comes out of your mouth makes any sense.
Chinese culture scares you so you should nuke it? Really? REALLY? - fugazied, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2Good luck with that. The corporation does not care for workers, it cares for profit.
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -2/+4Did you know China also has nukes and has the means to deliver them to anywhere in the US?
- taibo, on 03/27/2009, -2/+4Yeah cuz China would just totally sit by and twiddle their thumbs while our nukes fly over.
Even if they didn't hit much of the US, they would certainly take out a lot of US allies in the area before being obliterated, like South Korea, Japan, even Australia. Not to mention their cyber attacks would probably bring down most of American infrastructure, and they would probably shoot down a lot of our satellites just for kicks.
So no, please don't nuke them. - inactive, on 03/28/2009, -0/+2They are doing what America and Japan did during the 70's...
America owned most minerals companies in Australia at one point but sold them in the 80's...
Bad move...
Alcoa is the only one left... - inefekt, on 03/28/2009, -1/+3They've already tried to tell our PM that he can't meet with the Dalia Lama, if he did they were going to put sanctions on all imports of Australian resources. Rudd met with the Dalai, basically telling China to go ***** themselves and ***** all happened. They're all talk.
- orsinoduke, on 03/27/2009, -1/+3China and Asia, are different
- onemoretime842, on 03/27/2009, -4/+6I think western movies need to stop using bad-ass Chinese martial arts choreography.
- latticebug, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2A corporation lives on profit, no matter it is a multi-national one or state-owned one. And they are all under the influence of world wide politics. The only difference is that the multi-national corporation benefits mostly from the most powerful country, while a state-owned corporation benefits from the state only.
- orsinoduke, on 03/27/2009, -1/+3I think every country need to ***** off and start to dig their own soil for raw materials and oil. And, every country need to ***** off and stop all exports and imports.
- inactive, on 03/28/2009, -0/+2Actually its Singapore
Optus / Singtel run half the country and half the backbone including links to Asia
And I wish they would die...(Overpriced by 4000%) - Y0tsuya, on 03/27/2009, -0/+2Don't forget Singapore. Most of the people there are Chinese so must therefore belong to China.

My personal favorite was always Brazil. - inactive, on 03/28/2009, -1/+2They did that already....
China_ You are going to play with him?
AU - Sure hes cool, just another folk...
China - I thought you were my friend. I don't want to play with you ever again....(Pulls face, huffs off scowling) - NoobpwnYa, on 03/27/2009, -2/+3Chang is a surname, so is Chong.
In a hispanic country, when a man marries a woman, their children would have both their parent's last name.
Thus, if a Mr. Chang marry a Ms. Chong, and they have a children, and name their child "Ching"
Then you are just calling someone's name: Ching Chang Chong.
Another possibility is that Ching can also be a surname. Chang Chong, can be a name. Again, you are calling someone's name.
Since there are so many Chinese people in the world (literary, try to find a country where there are absolutely NO CHINESE), I doubt that there are not a single person who is called Ching Chang Chong.
next time you say this, be aware that more than 1.4+ billion people would think that you are an idiot. -
