- truthsupporter2, on 11/23/2008, -5/+62The American media did not cover this nation wide protest by the people of America, but the Russian media did.
- sheeplescareme, on 11/23/2008, -5/+52i made it to dc in july, mn in sept, and to a fed yesterday. each time, foreign media covered the events better than our msm shills. that should tell you something.
- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -4/+41They hope that if they ignore the problem it will go away.
That was the same hope they had when the fed caused the last great depression. - RobertTaft, on 11/23/2008, -2/+38Thankfully, the Russians have press that will cover our news. How shameful that we have to get real reporting from overseas media. What a clear illustration that the lame-team (mainstream) media is completely sold out in America.
Despite a near complete absence of American press coverage, the masses are waking up to the fact that they have been blatantly ripped off. Their sellout to the elitist banksters has become so obvious as to awaken the sleeping giant. Real criminal indictments should be forthcoming and the blank checks provided by the monopolized banking system for military expansionism and colonialism will stop. The merging with Canada and Mexico plan with its loss of sovereignty by the states of the union will not be tolerated. The one world government scheme will be largely undone by the will of the American people after our monetary policy is restored in accordance with our supreme law, the constitution. This document, more than any other, defines our republic and the union for which it stands. It supplies the essential, lawful limits on the power ascribed to the federal government. It is up to the People to properly enforce it, and enforce it We shall.
End the FED!!! - sheeplescareme, on 11/23/2008, -0/+31same thing with the presidential elections. they gave airtime to third-party candidates and even discussed how little attention they were getting here at home by our propaganda machine.
- rocke86, on 11/23/2008, -2/+30Yes, we got covered on national news!.... in Russia
- lazerus9, on 11/23/2008, -2/+28The main stream media in the US was too busy to cover these events because they were educating everyone on the proper way to deep fry a turkey.
- vincebodie, on 11/23/2008, -3/+25If any cable companies in the U.S. started carrying Russia Today, there might just be a spike in credibility and subscriptions - heck I would even watch TV again once in a while!
- freedomlovermn, on 11/23/2008, -2/+22Thanks RT ! I wish our own media would get off it's ass and explain to the people why these events are important. Thankfully, we do have a few media personalities scattered around who do their best to cover these issues, but it's not on any kind of mass scale that would make people really sit up and take notice.
- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -3/+21Digg and Digg and Digg.
- statismisdead, on 11/23/2008, -1/+16The MSM (Mossad Stream Media) is the enemy of the American people. Tell grandma and grandpa to turn off the propaganda tube and teach them how to use an Internet browser.
- gmartine, on 11/23/2008, -3/+13Russian media is doing a great job at bringing up these issues and having thorough reporting. I wonder if their population is going to be a part of the freedom movement. They have their freedom brothers and sisters in America standing beside them.
- richmomz, on 11/24/2008, -2/+11The fact that we have to turn to the Russian media to find out what's going on in the world should be a big wake-up call about the current state of our own media.
- algaeturd, on 11/24/2008, -1/+10It's HILARIOUS that the russian media covered this while the american MSM did not. Simply hilarious. Anyone want to guess WHY?
The same reason that the MSM never covered Ron Paul rallies or any other rally/demonstration that might upset the status quo. - FURBjr, on 11/24/2008, -4/+13You are truly as uninteresting as your turds.
- krnldmp, on 11/24/2008, -0/+5Yeah but it's on YouTube.
- mitch37, on 11/24/2008, -3/+7That is really pathetic logic. Best point you could make, the media didn't cover you taking a *****... Totally the same as printing money to pay of debt.
- inactive, on 11/24/2008, -1/+5
It's called the gold standard. You're going to wish you had it when your life savings gets devalued in a few months. - muckemuck, on 11/24/2008, -0/+4Propaganda? Anti-American? wtf are you people smoking.. or better yet, why did you sleep through history class. WTF..
Here, go read this: http://www.john-f-kennedy.net/executiveorder11110. ... and see why JFK thought ending the Fed was an important issue. - thecoolestguy, on 11/24/2008, -1/+5How bout eliminate the federal reserve system and restore the power to print American dollars to the US government.
---Well if you think you can do better than the Fed, let's hear you give us a brand new monetary policy that miraculously takes us out of recession..---
That's the whole point, you CAN'T "miraculously" take the economy out of a recession with monetary policy. Printing money doesn't create goods and services, it can only spur economic activity in the short term through inflation, at the expense of market distortions and long term growth. - inactive, on 11/24/2008, -1/+4http://www.campaignforliberty.com
- hadees, on 11/24/2008, -3/+5That Russian media likes to make people think things are worse in America then they are in Russia?
- RonaldHLevine, on 11/25/2008, -0/+2Wow back! You think that we are in competition with "monetary policy that miraculously takes us out of recession" as if powerful private bankers can or even have an interest in doing that other than some pretend trickery that yields them trillions of dollars that they create out of nothing that they loan to the government to give to back to them that the taxpayers are expected to repay with interest! How much more convoluted can you get? We only offer sound monetary policy as established in the Constitution of our United States of America. More simply -- stop the theft. Our Founding Fathers warned of this as it has happened many times in the histories of nations. But, perhaps we can compete with your supposed miracles to the extent that our Founding Fathers were Divinely inspired and our nation was born out of miracles. In sharp contrast, it is idolatry to believe the bankers described in the book Creature form Jekyll Island are capable of miracles and foolish to think that they work in our interest. But, since you believe that, I suggest, before we continue with the massive experiment that risks worldwide economic disasters on your hunch and confidence in this powerful group accountable to no one, you try a simple experiment of you doing with your personal finances what the Federal Reserve does with essentially the same principle being that you can't be out of money because you still have checks left. Then let us know how well that works for you provided you can get an internet connection in prison. RonaldHLevine@gmail.com 1042 E Fort Union Blvd #231 | Midvale, Utah 84047-1800
- matthekc, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2Darwin reaches from the grave to burn the genitals of morons with hot grease.
- thecoolestguy, on 11/24/2008, -4/+5The Russian government owns the main media station in Russia. A privately owned banking cartel owns the central bank in America.
The one thing that America has that can't be matched in Russia is the freedom of speech, unfortunately it's not much use when most people are ignorant. That is changing though. - slubby, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1Rock out to Bon Jovi and forget your worries.
- PatHenry1775, on 12/03/2008, -0/+0The monetary policy we had before the Fed worked very well for over 100 years. The USA became the wealthiest nation with a very stable currency. We did have occasional hard times and financial panics before the Fed was birthed in 1913. Since then, the problems have been even more severe in 1921, the 30's, and now. The inflation machinery of the Fed has caused the hard times to be worse. The US dollar has lost over 95% of its value since 1913. Fiat currencies have always collapsed through out history. The big question is will we replace it with sound money issued by the US Treasury or a private bank like the Fed?
- inactive, on 11/24/2008, -8/+8But state-produced propaganda is OK if it fits your world view, right?
- divinediva, on 11/24/2008, -2/+2Russia would definitely benefit from Paul being president. We wouldn't have our military nose in their internal affairs.

GOOD OLD DIGG. - thoughtlover, on 11/24/2008, -2/+2You realize Russians news sources only criticize American news sources to deflect attention from the suppression of their own independent media. Deflecting from their single party system, their cult of Putin, their centrally consolidated media, tradition of reporters that are critical of Putin turning up dead or maimed.

No matter how unfair Ron Paul's coverage was, you need to be aware of the political implications of the news sources you do choose.
Oh.. and buried. - itsJALbert, on 11/24/2008, -3/+2From the reporter: "Though not many people showed up..."
Nobody offered any sort of facts, when interviewed. While there's time where I'm not terribly fond of the media in our nation, really... there's nothing more newsworthy here than Paulites spamming conspiracy theories in Digg comments, essentially. - Georgy, on 11/24/2008, -5/+4Oh wow, it's amazing how all people can do is criticize and call everything a conspiracy when the smartest minds in the country try to do everything they can so these dumbasses can live normal lives.
Well if you think you can do better than the Fed, let's hear you give us a brand new monetary policy that miraculously takes us out of recession..... - Georgy, on 11/24/2008, -2/+1I'm not saying i have any ideas to fix the economy, what i'm saying is that the fed has done more good than bad by being independent where a president who is a typical politician would be inclined to construct policy's to appease the public in the short run rather than stabilize the economy for the long run. The fed doesn't have anything to gain if the economy gets screwed
The fed did help a lot in the recessions in 2001 and the 1980's by acting quickly, but this time it din't act quickly enough.
Yea ppl are saying that you can't take us out of the recession by increasing money supply and the like but don't you think Ben Bernanke former head of Goldman Sachs and the other economists in the fed know that. You really think you know better than them?? - algaeturd, on 11/24/2008, -5/+3OMG! EVERYONZ IS A ZIONISTZZZ!!!!!
- fadeout, on 11/24/2008, -14/+10The Paultards promoting this stuff is just hilarious.
Russia Today is owned by RIA-Novosti, which is owned BY THE KREMLIN.
You're digging up propaganda that came off of Putin's desk. - inactive, on 11/24/2008, -11/+2Yes, that is the point.
- inactive, on 11/24/2008, -19/+9Stop spamming this story all over digg.
I cannot believe you guys are digging up russian propaganda.
The american media "doesn't care" not because they're ignoring you, but really, because for 99.99% of the country, it truly is uninteresting.
I took a ***** today. Did they cover that? No. OMG THEY MUST BE IGNORING ME KONSPIRIZAZ!!!111! - NoLibertarians, on 11/24/2008, -18/+5Must be a slow news day in Russia, although they most certainly are hell bent on helping a few activists make our country look bad...Fact is there isn't any real support for ending the FED
