- frcc, on 11/08/2009, -1/+8Telling people there's reason for optimism reminds me of the aliens from Mars Attacks who keep saying they come in peace as they keep blowing ***** up.
Unemployment is closer to 18% when you stop dicking around and count everyone. There's no end in sight because the policies that got us here aren't changing. - jayjayjoni, on 11/08/2009, -4/+7America will feel the affect of George W. Bush for many decades to come. . . As of now, we cannot create jobs. We can only SAVE them. Obama and his policies have saved tens of millions of jobs. We would be at depression level unemployment if it weren't for the stimulus package. Cap and Trade will save a few more million, but our true savior is in health care. I've read the bill myself. Billions will be spent in investing in health care technologies around the nation. Creating millions of new jobs. We can finally reallocate wealth from the top, down to the bottom. Less rich, more middle class. A true America.
- novenator, on 11/08/2009, -5/+7Democrats have ALWAYS created far more jobs than Republicans. Thats because they stand for the working man, while the GOP stands for their corporate overlords.

- chingazo, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1So you basically want everyone to make the same, live in the same type of houses, drive the same cars, basically have no incentive to work harder to make more money cause you will perpetually be middle class, just like everyone else. You basically want everyone pressed from the same mold. Your view of America sucks. I wouldn't want to live in it. Socialism doesn't work. America was not founded on the idea that no one should be able to really succeed. That you have an obligation to share your success with the masses. ***** that. You want everyone to be on a level playing field, but let's be honest. Not everyone likes to work. Some choose to be unsuccessful cause they don't want to work for it, and resent the folks who do. I work harder than most folks I know, and as a result, I'm more successful. It's not hard to figure out why, and it's not related to race, as I am a minority.

- MercyPolitics, on 11/07/2009, -10/+10What is really disturbing is the fact that Wall Street is paying, once again, obscene bonuses to its top executives, while Main Street is barely scrapping by..
- ninjaturtles1, on 11/08/2009, -3/+3I loled at that to. Go and read Economics In One Lesson.
- ninjaturtles1, on 11/08/2009, -7/+5"At least there is a historical reason to believe that the team behind the wheel are the best ones equipped to turn this situation around."
I loled!
