- Bittermanscolon, on 10/07/2008, -1/+124Wow.....heads should roll. That's is un-*****-believable. You have a system, they go to hearings or court, and then they just say....."sorry about that guys, it was regrettable, but we had an un-*****-believable time at that resort!!! It was awesome! Thanks America. Now back to banging you up the ass!!!"
- BlacklabelSAR, on 10/07/2008, -2/+102I hope these guys are bullet proof.
- agaiziunas, on 10/07/2008, -1/+65Massages, pedicures, rooms @ $1,600.00/night... I'm surprised there weren't any receipts for hookers, although maybe they were just tired out from f*cking the taxpayer.
- Observant1, on 10/07/2008, -2/+58poli = many
ticks = blood sucking parasites - moneyswears, on 10/07/2008, -1/+52Working for AIG must be a lot like being a rock star, except for that whole "pure evil" thing.
- apena89, on 10/07/2008, -0/+44And it's sad that you would be considered a "terrorist" because you want to defend YOUR rights and YOUR money.
- moses141, on 10/07/2008, -1/+39I've said time and again that the most egregious example of why this bailout is a farce is AIG. The majority of the company is in the business of insurance; yet, when an event occurs and people need to collect, the government pays... And the company doesn't even have to file for bankruptcy?
Maurice Greenberg, the former CEO who started this mess -- and who didn't have to testify because he's "ill" is the worst offender. He was on CNBC (he wasn't too ill to do that) begging for the country to bailout AIG (not mentioning his billions in stock), and then -- when AIG got bailed out, he came back on CNBC to complain that it wasn't a good bailout because the shareholders lost (and he was only left with $1 billion). If that isn't a crook, I don't know who is. - Lawofnations, on 10/07/2008, -0/+36If not I hope they can run at least 2200 feet per second.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -1/+34This is corruption at its finest.
- SleighBoy, on 10/07/2008, -5/+35Remember to do all you can to out any congressional member or senator who voted for ANY bailout!
- SitPoMk, on 10/08/2008, -1/+30"We're .. uuh ... stimulating the economy"
- blackrage, on 10/08/2008, -3/+31Ahhh so what
Thats only 1/1,4000,000 of the money we gave them.

***** AIG and ***** Congress! - velocity92c, on 10/08/2008, -1/+17Is this really a surprise to anyone? This bailout was complete ***** from the start. It only got worse for Americans as a whole with all the ***** 'sweetener' they added to it.
- rmxz, on 10/08/2008, -0/+16Sadly they're not. No doubt they'll collect handsomely in campaign contributions, bribes, and other kickbacks.
We're stupid for letting these people in government, and we're paying the price. - warholsbluecat, on 10/08/2008, -0/+15Now opening for Slayer: The AIG Crew performing tracks from their latest album "We can do whatever the hell we want and there is nothing anyone can do about it" featuring the hit singles "I spent your wellfare check on this pedicure" and "LOL ECONOMY"
- centerblack, on 10/08/2008, -0/+14Not to worry, they're using the rest of the 85 billion to build suits like in Ironman.
- DanBoodro, on 10/08/2008, -5/+18That girl in the back is hot.
- brad3378, on 10/08/2008, -0/+13Don't blame me. I voted for Ron Paul.
- JoeParanoid, on 10/07/2008, -1/+14And they immediately buy out my car insurance company. No wonder I can't get recovery for when I was hit while parked.

"WHERE'S MY MONEY BITCH!!!" - Lanage, on 10/08/2008, -7/+19Heh... ".5 MILLION". Much more ominous than "$500,000"...
- RowdyJo, on 10/08/2008, -1/+13Well look at the brightside...

Great, now I'm sad too. - inactive, on 10/08/2008, -3/+14It's sad that you would be considered a criminal for murdering somebody in vigilante justice style because they misappropriated taxpayer funds?
No, I'm pretty sure it's a good thing we live in a society that doesn't allow you to shoot someone because they wasted half a million dollars.
But hey, mob mentality is a powerful thing. - GeorgeStone2, on 10/08/2008, -6/+15I can't believe this is on the front page, yet iceland is on the verge of bankruptcy.
Iceland THE WHOLE COUNTRY could go bankrupt.
330,000 UK savers (Including me) are looking at losing thousands of pounds.
£16BN worth of UK savers money is in limbo. No one to nationalise with. And the passport system that was in place to protect the money is basically a joke. £88M to cover £16 BILLION of savings.
Not one article about this with more than 20 diggs. But a little bit about the american bailout and it's all over the frontpage.
Good going digg.

Digg if you care.. - inactive, on 10/08/2008, -1/+10Those guys should have had their "executive retreat" at the Motel 6 down the street from corporate HQ. These parasites need to do some jail time.
- paloooz, on 10/08/2008, -2/+11I went to Mexico with 3 people and had a blast for a week. We probably spent total $2000. How the hell can someone even spend that much in a week?
- Edudris, on 10/08/2008, -0/+9You'll find it (hardly) amazing what people will do with OPM. (Other People's Money)

"These private-issue fantasy pattern coins will be struck as an annual series, starting in the latter part of 2007." - FTLJohnson, on 10/08/2008, -0/+8I agree with moose, you shouldn't shoot anyone. We need to bring back pitchforks and torches.
- JeffH, on 10/08/2008, -0/+8Mother *****.
That really sums up just about everything I have to say on the subject anymore. - Edudris, on 10/08/2008, -0/+8Conservative or Liberal, sane people around the world agree!
- harrisbradley, on 10/08/2008, -2/+9The "No Banker Left Behind Act"
- WickedEdge, on 10/08/2008, -0/+7Does this really surprise anyone?
- MelvinSchlubman, on 10/08/2008, -0/+6I think I saw the same Greenberg interview. IIRC, he didn't say how much he had left, but he said (paraphrased) that his wealth was essentially all gone. I guess $1b = all gone to the Masters of the Universe.
- mcm297, on 10/08/2008, -1/+7I saw this on The O'Reilly Factor this evening. I'm a conservative, but even I have to admit that this is low.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+6"Ahhh, that 1/2 BILLION, idiot."
No, 1/2 MILLION. Read the ***** article/description - nyx210, on 10/08/2008, -0/+6http://www.dailypaul.com/node/65211
http://www.monstersandcritics.com/people/news/arti ... - lambosv21, on 10/08/2008, -1/+6i dont think this should come as a surprise to anyone
- P4Paarth, on 10/08/2008, -1/+6They're probably just celebrating the fact that they ***** up and the Government was still willing to pay them big bucks for it.
- JeffH, on 10/08/2008, -0/+5I would follow that suggestion with no remorse...
...if both of our PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES hadn't both voted for it as well. *****. Why does every election these days come down to the "Best of the Worst" situations? - Nicksname1, on 10/08/2008, -2/+7Elijah Cummings, you are awesome!
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -2/+7And it is a good thing that they are not.
- GorfTron, on 10/08/2008, -3/+8Steven Seagal will punish these guys and you can take that to the bank ... the blood bank...

oh its in a bar...oh hell no... - secrity, on 10/08/2008, -0/+5This piece of ***** company lost a bunch of money and was bailed out by US taxpayers; the executive retreat should have been lunch in the cafeteria.
