- lilamae, on 02/07/2009, -0/+7Some of the names on this list should strike fear into your heart. Which names will do this to you will depend on where you stand on the political spectrum.
Some people on this list are merely self-serving pundits who speak from financial interest and not from any real intelligence. Be careful of following their advice. - inactive, on 02/08/2009, -0/+6hmmm, my local stripper friend isn't listed on here.
- shoppingkart, on 02/08/2009, -0/+5I will not buy shiny things this year.
- absolutelytrue, on 05/26/2009, -0/+5Some definitely will. Others, probably not.
- copypastry, on 02/08/2009, -0/+4Goddamnit, Jim Cramer is the Billy Mays of the financial world.
- say592, on 02/08/2009, -0/+4I almost buried this for putting Steve Jobs on there. I mean, what the *****? They didnt even provide a real reason for him being on there!
- foxtrot3, on 02/08/2009, -0/+3Barney Frank ???!!! Mr. "Fanny and Freddy are fine" !!!

- argoff, on 02/07/2009, -1/+4All of these people may as well be one person, because in the end they will all do the same thing. They will try to tax and spend us out of this economic crises causing severe hyper inflation ... and they will all fail because it is like giving the heroin addict more heroin to ease the convulsions.
Seriously, it's not complicated. This has happened to countries all thru out history, most recently Argentina. The end game is the same every time. Hyper - inflation followed by a deadly crash where millions who believed in government and social programs find themselves starving on the streets picking up the tattered pieces of their lives. - inactive, on 02/07/2009, -2/+5huh..i agree and disagree..lol
- Rogor, on 02/08/2009, -0/+1I would say the person with the most control over the American economy not on that list would be Hu Jintao the president of China.
- cowsgonemadd3, on 02/08/2009, -0/+1Well don't sit by make your voice known.
- 2of8, on 02/08/2009, -0/+1"Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. The billionaire Saudi investor has had a rocky go since his firm, Kingdom Holding Co., went public on the Saudi stock exchange in 2007. A huge stake in Citigroup went south last year, sending Kingdom shares down 62 percent. Alwaleed's personal net worth slumped to an estimated $17 billion, down from $21 billion in 2007."
I wonder how it feels to have your personal assistant come and tell you in the morning, you just lost $4 billion. Darn! That's one less bank I can take over.
Weird. - PopcornDave, on 02/08/2009, -0/+1So how many of these people are responsible for getting us in the mess we're in? I would count Barney Frank on that list for the chicanery with Fannie Mae.
- ThinkBox, on 02/08/2009, -0/+1This is why socialism sucks. More power for the few. The government has such a hand in the market today, they speak and the market reacts more than ever.
25 people shouldn't have control of the economy. The consumers and businessmen with a cycle of products and should all collectively control the economy, because they are the ones who compose it. - AdeleMor, on 02/09/2009, -0/+1We're all gonna die. Reform the SEC!
- DreadKnight, on 02/08/2009, -0/+1Mark Shuttleworth and Ton Rossendal.
- RuffRidr, on 02/09/2009, -0/+1If people would put David Ramsey on their list, then they would have a lot less to worry about when the government gets us into situations like this.
- EbowUK, on 02/08/2009, -0/+1Isn't this a list on Facebook?

- unfairunbalance, on 02/08/2009, -0/+1Obama! This job package was filled with nothing but pork. Obama is Brzezinski's boy. Brzezinski member of David Rockefeller's CFR. Rockefeller along with IMF and World Banker Elitist is to destroy world economies and then buy them up at the fraction of the cost. Making his Trilaterlist concept a reality. The European Union, North American Union and an Asian Union. All controled by a World Bank Dictatorship. Member banks of the Federal Reserve are part of this scheme. They control U.S. Government. Why do you think Congress gave these member banks bailout money against the wish of the American people. The Fed paid off the Senators and Congressmen. They do not represent the people of America anymore. The Fed controls the U.S. markets. This is why Bush and Obama along with SEC will not investigate Madoff former head of Nasdaq. They will put Martha Stewart in jail or investigate Mark Cuban for legal trade transactions but they will not touch Madoff. You have criminals that run the Financial Institutions that in turn run our Government. This is the enemy of the American people. Stand up and fight!
- datson5157, on 02/08/2009, -0/+0They are all pro zionist pawns that's what they all have in common...scary!
- dcpnn, on 02/08/2009, -0/+0This only furthers my belief that Yahoo! Finance is only good for stock quotes. As far as I am concerned, half of the people on this list are irrelevant.

- Flaptastic, on 02/08/2009, -0/+0None of the above.
The economy doesn't change quickly, and often isn't affected by the current 'hot thing'. Sadly, Obama will be blamed for not saving us from this situation, but that isn't really where the blame should lie.
Faith is to blame. Faith in that home ownership could ever be a bad investment. Faith in an economy that is built on spending not saving. Faith that the stocks will always trend up not down.
The people mentioned in the article are powerless to change the reality of the situation. They will simply be blamed for not doing enough to fix it. - vinaynarula, on 02/09/2009, -0/+0test1
