  • jacelong1, on 01/28/2008, -0/+0Franchises are nice but I'd rather paint my own painting and have it end up under a magnet on my fridge than color in the dots of a Dali and sell it at Artfest. The real decision is whether to franchise first so one learns the ropes or risk blowing the proverbial "wad" forging into the abyss of businessdom without the protection of a seasoned business model. Luckily small business funding and the help to build small business credit are readily available to those who do some research and choose the right initial underwriting group from the start of their venture.
