Those guy where selling trillions of insurance they knew they had no way of paying out. If that's not insurance fraud, I don't know what is. - censormagnet, on 03/24/2009, -1/+6does it have larry silverstein?
has to pay hundreds of millions to remove asbestos from trade center buildings..
so he gets as much insurance on the buildings as possible just a few months before 9/11. 3.5 billion per terrorist attack. then 'ooops' they get attacked and he makes 7billion instead of losing hundreds of millions
that surely has to be the biggest insurance fraud in history - sadisticmind, on 03/24/2009, -0/+5what about the lady who tried to sue wendys when she found a "human" finger in her chili bowl?
(of course she put it there and was charged)
(this happened blocks from my house)

- iamdan1, on 03/24/2009, -0/+2What about H.H Holmes, who started off by using random corpses to collect life insurance money, and then built a hotel to draw in and kill women to collect more life insurance money, and later killed his business partner and his children for their life insurance money.

Steve, http://www.insurancecheap.org - skatoolaki, on 03/24/2009, -2/+1No such list is complete without mentioning Vernon, Florida (also known as "Nub City") - where townsfolk (yes, more than one) realized they could make good on insurance policies by becoming amputees, and so summarily lopped off their own limbs to collect.
A documentary filmmaker went to the town in an attempt to document the bizarre folk, but was run out with a death threat.
