Wizards fire Jordan

sports.yahoo.com — Eddie Jordan was fired as coach of the Washington Wizards on Monday after opening the season 1-10 without injured starters Gilbert Arenas and Brendan Haywood. The Wizards’ record matches the worst start in franchise history; the only other time the team was 1-10 was in 1966, when it was called the Baltimore Bullets.

  • inactive, on 11/24/2008, -0/+0I don't know much about Jordan's coaching ability, but in a league where one star player can make a bad team competitive, it seems unfair to can him while 40 percent of the Wizards' starters are injured. Newsflash: The teams with the best players typically win.
