- vic42482, on 06/26/2009, -1/+20Now let's all watch as LA Clippers flush another great talent down the toilet.
- ProjectGSX, on 06/26/2009, -1/+10Good pick for the Spurs. As long as those knees hold together for 3-4 years, anyways.
- UglieJosh, on 06/26/2009, -2/+8Yea, he'll have a great career in whatever he majored in, I'm sure.
- mrogi, on 06/26/2009, -1/+7Nobody can evaluate a gattdam thing about any of the drat choices until they suit up and actually play in an NBA game.
- DarthVolta, on 06/26/2009, -1/+5Wolves GM Kahn says that he plans on playing Rubio and Flynn at the same time. Hopefully he's just bluffing at this point - I'll take either one, but I can't help but feel foolish as a Wolves fan. #5 and #6 in the draft, and we take two point guards?
- Pugmonkeys, on 06/26/2009, -0/+4So there is no point in making educated guesses?
- Pugmonkeys, on 06/26/2009, -0/+3Thank you?
I just really like what the blazers are doing, but only in a very technical sense. - jer21, on 06/26/2009, -0/+3That's all they need from Blair...a few good years to push for the title before Duncan decides to retire. Then it's time to rebuild.
- deweyhewson, on 06/26/2009, -0/+3The Jazz waste a golden opportunity and choke when it matters the most? That never happens!
- hawkdude56, on 06/26/2009, -1/+4Don't really understand Minnesota picking so many point guards.
Also, I don't get the whole Hansbrough outlook. I think he'll be a solid guy for many years. - phyx726, on 06/26/2009, -0/+3I thought the best part of the night was the Warriors screwing over two teams with one pick. First they screwed over the Knicks by taking Curry ahead of them, then they retracted a trade for Amare Stoudimare which packaged a bunch of players including the 7th pick because they didn't realize Curry would drop to the 7th. Oh, hearing the booing by the NY crowd was priceless.
- trer, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2We all thought it was pure idiocy when they called Ty Lawson's name...3 point guards? But then he got traded.
- ManUnitdFan, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2A trade for Darko Milicic can never be part of the reason a team is a "winner." Just not possible.
- jankind, on 06/27/2009, -0/+2***** Ricky Rubio. There were only a few, maybe 3 or 4 teams he was gonna fall to and he knew they were all small markets. You guys deserve better than this guy. I hope he is traded to the Knicks. The more malcontents and headcases on that roster, the better.
- zanzzz, on 06/26/2009, -1/+3The Celtics clearly where the winners in this draft. Traded away the pick for the 2008 Championship.
- tmeaster, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2I hope so.
It seemed the Pacers were turning the corner a little. I don't get the pick really, but at least you know the kid will come in and compete everyday. - jkr801, on 06/26/2009, -2/+4Loser: Utah Jazz like every year....because the front office and jerry sloan all need to retire!!! douche bags...i'm going to start cheering for the blazers...
- DarthVolta, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1The Vikings have made pretty smart draft choices lately (lets just forget about Demetrius Underwood..), especially with Adrian Peterson, and then trading a couple picks for Jared Allen.
And while the Twins front office isn't exactly known for its blockbuster moves, they at least have a stellar farm system (Cuddyer, Morneau, Mauer, Span). - sny1120, on 06/26/2009, -4/+5no
- inigomntoya, on 06/26/2009, -1/+2You sound like my financial advisor:
"Yes, very good choice. Very little needed up front with a high potential for growth in the future..." - aspec, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1I feel that way about most of the Minnesota sports teams.
- handler, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1I can't believe DeJaun fell to the spurs. Yes!!
- USCAlum, on 06/26/2009, -1/+2I think the later picks of the first round will turn out just as good as the top of the round. Weak draft, and what are the T-Wolves doing? Flynn and Rubio? Not smart at all. Portland drafted good names but will they turn out? That whole team is good young players but will they ever develop besides Roy?
- xshare, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1Yea, if Rubio decides to sign. All accounts are that he'd much prefer staying in Spain to playing in Minnesota, even if it means holding off on an NBA career until he can go to NY or another major market. Really anywhere but Minnesota.
- phyx726, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1I don't know who's in the worse situation. Blake Griffin on the clippers or Taylor Griffin on the suns who lost Shaq, about to lose Amare, and Steve Nash is getting up there in age as well. Oh wait, we're talking about the ***** clippers. Nevermind.
- jankind, on 06/27/2009, -0/+1I just can't be a fan of a guy with a tattoo of HIMSELF with the words "God's Gift" ...
- itsjussed, on 06/26/2009, -1/+1i would of written it the same way lol. +1
- Airbear007, on 06/26/2009, -4/+4I love how an article like this always comes out right after the draft every year and to me they are totally pointless cuz no one will know who did well in the draft for at least a year or so.
- Pugmonkeys, on 06/26/2009, -3/+3Good choice cheering for the blazers, they are so far away from their peak and are already very good. They could dominate the league for a decade if Oden gets healthy.
- KimmyGibbler, on 06/26/2009, -3/+2They wont be able to re-sign Turkalu (spelled wrong, I know) though
- cyoder, on 06/26/2009, -2/+1Here's a little fun fact. Turkoglu's agent's name is Lon Babby. I can't help but wonder how he was formed.
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -3/+2Minnesota pissed 3 first round draft picks away. they could'a had a sweet scoring sg, but instead picked point guards that are undersized and skinny. Oh well, there's always next year.
- spanky6256000, on 06/26/2009, -8/+5Hansbrough will have a longer career than all but a handful of those other first round guys.
- albatrossSKY, on 06/26/2009, -11/+7vince carter and the orlando magic will give kobe a good run next season
- Chicken, on 06/26/2009, -11/+2Hi. I'm not a basket ball fan.
