- Badandy127, on 07/24/2008, -0/+27Kwame Brown would be a scrub anywhere.
- bixby1, on 07/24/2008, -0/+9Horry. A bold choice for this article. I totally agree. Past. His. Prime.
- Odenized, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2I think if Scottie Pippen can go to Europe, so can Horry. Both are some of the NBA's all-time winningest players.
- sovereign3, on 07/25/2008, -3/+2Horry never had a prime. He made a career of playing behind great players and occasionally making that "big shot" whenever the opportunity arose. But he was certainly no star.
- mlvassallo, on 07/25/2008, -0/+4So, Dallas or Phoenix fan?
- mowe, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1Nah, he was good in Houston.
- fcruz1331, on 07/25/2008, -0/+2How are you going to bury sovereign3? Just look at Horry's CAREER stat line: 7 Points, 4.8 Rebounds, 2.1 Assists in 25 minutes a game. That isn't even a good player, that's just mediocre.
And yes, he's got the rings, but that's because championship teams are the only one who can really sign him in the first place. A young up-and-coming team isn't going to sign such an old and one-dimensional (three-pointers) player, and a middle playoff team isn't going to waste a roster spot when they can find a younger/more athletic player that can take up significant minutes off the bench and push them ahead to the next level. Thus leaving Horry to sign with near-complete teams who just need a roster spot to fill and can afford a "specialist."
- MattgUP, on 07/25/2008, -0/+8Ricky Davis would average a triple-double in Europe!
- jaybol, on 07/25/2008, -1/+3i'm going to go to in-n-out and get a double-double now
- KingBroseph, on 07/25/2008, -0/+7Steve Francis or Stephon Marbury.
- username7410, on 07/25/2008, -14/+3***** off and die NBA, I hate you.
- zomgflamer, on 07/25/2008, -3/+1Its not ur fault son. Blacks just have bigger penis than you.
- elfman1000, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5Horry doesn't need to go to Europe, he needs to retire
- Odenized, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1I think that's a good point...still, I heard Horry doesn't want to retire.
- crazycarlmar, on 07/25/2008, -1/+2It's not that I disagree, it's that I just don't know if I can digg an article that uses the word "hella" in a serious way.
- merdiesel, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1Maybe the author is from Northern CA. If so I'll vouch for him.
- AndrewLeon, on 07/25/2008, -0/+6The Footage of Livingston's Knee Haunts me to this day...
- Odenized, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1Without question. That was some crazy grusome stuff.
- Crazeguy, on 07/25/2008, -0/+2I actually work with Josh Childress' mom. I think she is retiring soon for obvious reasons.
- DickyT83, on 07/25/2008, -4/+2What a dumb article, these guys have the combined age of christ.
- LordoftheLoo, on 07/25/2008, -0/+6Sam Cassell is too old to play anywhere period. He was good when he was in his prime, but hes 38 now and too old to be an efficient point guard (even the celtics other PG eddie house showed him up throughout the season)
- zomgflamer, on 07/25/2008, -0/+9Kwame can find a job in every massage parlor where he can finally utilize his butter fingers.
- Odenized, on 07/25/2008, -0/+2Hahahahahaha! The comment I've read in my life!
- Statik1, on 07/25/2008, -0/+3Who ever wrote this article is on crack! Especially the part about Robert Horry! He will not go over seas with the condition his daughter has! I know this for a fact because he left L.A. and went to San Antonio since he lives out in Texas so he could be home more to help her out!
- Badandy127, on 07/25/2008, -1/+1You sure you aren't thinking of Derek Fisher leaving Utah to come back to LA? I hadn't heard of Horry's daughter...
- poptire8191, on 07/25/2008, -0/+3Robert Horry deserves more credit. He's proved himself to be one of the best clutch shooters in the game
- GenghisRon, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1I think I speak for all Knicks fans when I say... buried for no Stephon Marbury
- cep59186, on 07/25/2008, -1/+0Sam Cassell is too old to play anywhere period. I know this for a fact because he left L.A. and went to San Antonio since he lives out in Texas so he could be home more to help her out!
- fcruz1331, on 07/25/2008, -1/+2I hate being a downer but the points made in this article are completely unorthodox. I realize that there are a lot of players going overseas, but Josh Childress is the only American to switch to Europe. I can't help but feel that the author is just trying to cash in by writing a quick ***** article with no realistic reasoning on a trendy topic.
"Because Europeans love body hair, Ricky Davis would be a huge success on foreign hardwood if he chose to revive his famous muttonchops." Are you really going to take someone who wrote that seriously. - GoBack2Europe, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1I really dislike sports write Stephen A. Smith, but his reaction to "Kwa-may" Brown getting traded for Gasol was hilarious.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j9nsqv9m6M - axisdelasal, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1There are a lot of things rather than been a star in basketball. To have a good team you need a good defender who can produce when needed. A tall player who can rebound and shot 3 pointers in order to have a better defense and more options in offense. Also a player who can make dirty fouls and destroy the concentration of best players of the other team. That's Robert Horry's work and I think he is the best player doing that. Its like if Jordan did had a Horces Grant, a Dennis Rodman, a Ron Harper who does 3 combine did the work Robert Horry is contract to do things could had been harder to Jordan to get all those Rings. A team is not a great player is a collective of players and Robert Horry is not a star but is one of the best overall 6 players in NBA history.
- CanarsieBK, on 08/05/2008, -0/+0the nba is in a sad state of affairs on all fronts. just look at expansion in the past 20 years...7 new teams. that's over a 100 players. the competition is just watered down. are the players really that much better these days or are they just playing against crappy competition (like some of the names on this list)?
half of the dudes in the nba could possibly play ball overseas. it would probably make the nba a much better product.
and stats aren't everything. basketball is a team sport and robert horry is a great team player much like steve kerr was. - misanasmith, on 08/18/2008, -0/+1The dollar is about the crash and we are going to become a police state. That's why they are leaving. Welcome the North American Union!
