In my experience, most sports bloggers don't know what they're talking about, and merely write articles that reflect popular opinion or are needlessly inflamatory. The amount of sports bloggers who write well-supported, carefully articulated and thought provoking articles is extremely small compared to the total number of sports bloggers.

    I also like how the sports blogger writing about this points to the growth of the sports blogosphere as proof that they know what they're talking about. That's like saying "Nickelback writes good music...just look at the growth in their record sales".
