- divinediva, on 03/07/2009, -3/+16They are a good team.
- inactive, on 03/07/2009, -2/+14Nearing the end of the season, this was actually an important game. Yeah it was just a regular season game, but they are both fighting for the eastern conference which means every game from now on out, especially those against each other, is a huge deal when they win.
- smokeymcdank, on 03/07/2009, -5/+14If the Celts can score that many points in the paint w/o KG your Cavs are doomed. Go Celts.
- DiggityCarl, on 03/07/2009, -2/+11....and that's where they'll stay.
- dweast, on 03/07/2009, -6/+13Boston is a solid team, but this was just a warm up. The real games will happen in the playoff's between these two. It's going to be some great basketball. GO CAVS!!
- slaystench, on 03/07/2009, -0/+5flagrant 2 because of where the hard foul occurred and he followed through. It's in the rules... easy call.
- inactive, on 03/07/2009, -0/+5Not without Jameer Nelson.
- pixelate, on 03/07/2009, -0/+5THEY'RE GONNA CALL IT A HARD FOUL!
THESE GUYS ARE RIDICULOUS - DiggityCarl, on 03/07/2009, -3/+8"It's going to be some great basketball" Provided you're a Celt's fan, of course! Go Celtics!
- stormgren, on 03/07/2009, -0/+5Yeah Cavs played like crap yesterday. Over-psyched for the game, maybe? I'm not too worried about it, they've played something like 7 games in the past 10 days, they looked tired.
- stormgren, on 03/07/2009, -1/+6That wasn't a basketball play at all. He horse-collar tackled Varajao. You can't tell me that's not a flagrant 2.
- srt4b, on 03/07/2009, -3/+7Orlando is right on both teams heels.
- D3ADBOLT, on 03/07/2009, -4/+7Tommy Heinsohn? Is that you?
- Bkaufman, on 03/07/2009, -0/+2I. LOVE. WALTAH.
- scalded, on 03/07/2009, -3/+4That's what happens in every Cavs game. LeBron could murder someone on the court and the refs would call a foul on the victim.
- randylm, on 03/07/2009, -9/+10I can't believe the Celtics won this game. The Celtics should have won by 40 points. ***** refs sucked. This game should be investigated cause it was called so one sided. Something needs to be done with the NBA refs. The Celtics could not breathe on any of the Cavs without a foul being called. Lebron wasn't called for a foul until halfway into the 4th quarter. The referees in this game should all be suspended for obvious bias against one team. The Cavs had 38 free throw attempts and the Celtics had 12. Also this was played in BOSTON!
- theAzone, on 03/07/2009, -2/+3The Cavs looked awful, and Boston didn't even have KG!
- Phenobarbital4U, on 03/07/2009, -4/+5i went to a game and caught a green shirt once :)
- paulmike3, on 03/07/2009, -2/+3That's what happens when one team plays dirty and one team plays clean. How is that hard to understand?
- pixelate, on 03/08/2009, -0/+1Yeah, it's called hyperbole.
(And more to the point, there are several 'rules' that are bent on a regular basis in the NBA. Even traveling calls are highly subjective. Knowing the rules inside and out isn't all that helpful if referees are inconsistent in how they apply them.)
If you don't see that the officiating in the NBA has been completely terrible for the last few seasons (to the point where the league has admitted it), then you don't know anything about the game. - spazticmidget, on 03/08/2009, -0/+1haha see u at finals fag lebrons gonna stomp u
- ogleby, on 03/07/2009, -3/+3You must not watch the Celtics much. You got fooled by how much the Celtics tend to whine at every single call. I've never seen a call that Doc Rivers didn't start complaining about. Rivers doesn't think his players have ever committed a foul in their lives... which is odd, because they are one of the most gritty, down and dirty, physical teams since the 80's. Mikki Moore (or however you spell it) badly needs to be fined by the league because he starts acting like he's drowning every time he gets whistled for mugging somebody. Maybe now that he's in the spotlight he won't be able to get away with being such a bitch anymore.
- slaystench, on 03/07/2009, -2/+2You are a complete and total fool if you don't think the refs know the rules inside and out.
- zman0203, on 03/08/2009, -0/+0nobody wants lebron or kobe, they act like babies and cry to the refs when they get touched.
- inactive, on 03/07/2009, -1/+1I caught a Heat Playoff Shirt at the Heat VS Phoenix game in Mia.
- zman0203, on 03/08/2009, -0/+0yeah thats true, but usually the clean team is the one that gets the calls!! did you even watch the game.. wow, holy band of Pacers is what they should call the cavs trying to start fights with the celts.. while glen davis just stood there and didnt say a word
- D3ADBOLT, on 03/07/2009, -4/+4Tommy Point
- zman0203, on 03/08/2009, -0/+0thats funny cause Mike Brown is the BIGGEST complainer there is in the nba. he runs out on the court 5 times a game. he looked like he was going to fight the celts friday night, no class coach and a no class team.. first round bust for the Lady cav's. see ya later MEAT!!!!
- method020, on 03/07/2009, -5/+4Speak for yourself. Lakers fans want Boston. For all the ***** we Lakers fans may talk about them, its the team to beat. Boston plays the Lakers hard, and the Lakers play them hard. Good hard basketball.
The Lebron vs Kobe thing is all hype. Save it for the Nike commercials. We want 2 powerhouse TEAMS to play in a series. The Lakers would roll the Cavs in 5 max. - method020, on 03/07/2009, -1/+0'this is ridiculous!!'
- AAK15, on 03/07/2009, -7/+5Yeah Boston!
- pixelate, on 03/07/2009, -3/+1Ray apparently got involved after the foul happened and escalated things, as did LeBron (who got T'd up as well).
I believe when they move to a Flagrant 2 it's usually either that the contact was excessive AND they thought there was intent (not just by accident). That's how they're supposed to call it, anyway, but I'm not convinced the referees last night had ever seen a rulebook. - MrZaiko, on 03/07/2009, -4/+2Is good to see Mikki Moore and Marbury getting the feel of the celts.
- SmurfSlut, on 03/07/2009, -8/+6No once cares about Celtics. Everyone just wants to see Lakers vs Cavs... or rather lakers vs Lebron.
- vagrantwade, on 03/07/2009, -5/+2Someone explain to me why Ray Allen got a technical? Or why that was called a Flagrant 2 on big baby?
- method020, on 03/07/2009, -5/+0Ray Allen and Lebron got one for being little bitches and not stepping back when the ref told them to.
Big Baby's was because when he went to foul he didn't go for the ball. He may not intended to hurt the guy, but he wrapped his arms around the guys head. Sometimes it happens on accident, sometimes not. Either way that's the rule on flagrant. I think it should have been a flagrant one though... - scoottie, on 03/07/2009, -17/+5Boston Sucks!
Go Lakers! - fsufanizzle, on 03/07/2009, -16/+2Regular season game summaries making the front page, c'mon now....
