Phoenix Suns Score 154 Points (No OT) to Defeat Golden State

scores.espn.go.com — It was an epic display of scoring ability by both teams, but the Suns were victorious in the end. Phoenix scored an astounding 154 points against Golden State's impressive 130 to get the victory in 4 quarters. Shaq scored more than twice as many points as Steve Nash and was second in scoring for the whole game behind Jason Richardson.

  • cbergstrom, on 03/16/2009, -6/+1Generally when you see a "let's not bother to play defense" game like this, it's for someone to run up their own personal point total. While that didn't happen this game, most of these guys seem to be in it just for personal records. They know the regular season doesn't really matter (seriously, over half the teams make the playoffs), so it's all about making themselves look as good as possible so they can get their next big payday. Offense is a lot easier to quantify then defense, which leads to silly scoring. College basketball is more fun to watch, cause they're not only in it for themselves, but for the team because the better teams get viewed by scouts more, and the NBA is where they can make money.
