- HookmasterCH47, on 12/05/2008, -0/+44You should go to the games... The ownership hasn't quite figured out how to host a NBA game. The Hornets games were really great because they didn't act like Okies trying to play the NBA game. But you go to the Ford Center, and it's piss poor at best. I wasn't expecting much from the Thunder, but damn, the team sucks, the atmosphere sucks, everything sucks. So I go to the games, get plastered and hit on the cougars that sit next to me. It's far more entertaining and I certainly have a better chance at scoring than the Thunder do... and that's pretty weak.
- Nlewis4, on 12/05/2008, -6/+45Thunder sounds like a WNBA team
- swany1012, on 12/05/2008, -9/+44That's what they deserve for leaving Seattle!
- thethunderbird, on 12/05/2008, -6/+36Two words:
DETROIT LIONS. - bunker6, on 12/05/2008, -6/+27I didn't even know Oklahoma had a basketball team.
- jmuncy, on 12/05/2008, -4/+24Worst team, with the worst name.
- saucercrab, on 12/05/2008, -2/+20lol, I'm FROM Oklahoma and I didn't know this!
- wendelgee2, on 12/05/2008, -2/+14Go Cougars!
- jmuncy, on 12/05/2008, -1/+11Where's Shawn Kemp when you need him.
- VengefulSquid, on 12/05/2008, -9/+19Should've stayed in Seattle, but NOOOO. Clay Bennet is a dick.
- Jwoey, on 12/05/2008, -1/+11This exact same article came up last year about the Timberwolves... then halfway through the season they quietly switched it to the Miami Heat. That chart they have isn't the worst starts in NBA history, it's the worst teams. So they exclude teams who have had worse starts than the Okla Thunder (The 1-19 Magic come to mind) but finished with better records, so it looks like nobody has ever come out of this funk with a better than 15win season. I'm not saying the Thunder aren't terrible, but shouting, "Maybe worst ever" every year is kinda gimmicky, and very unlikely to be true.
- teethandeyes, on 12/05/2008, -0/+9Ok, I know this is a different sport, but seriously, this year's Detroit Lions is one of the worst teams I have seen in any sport.
- GnralHavoc, on 12/05/2008, -3/+11Have you every been there? I was born there and grew up there, it's not a bad city. It's actually really nice, filled with people who are caring, polite, and willing to help just about anyone.
Your statement is wrong and comes from some inner bitterness probably from a childhood spent getting picked on.
Or you're a troll and you got the response you wanted. - slickswanny, on 12/05/2008, -1/+8Where's Detlef Schrempf when you need him
- Jambi, on 12/05/2008, -4/+11You're right, but there's one minor difference between being in Seattle and in OKC. When in Seattle, the team had the ability to attract decent free agents and hold on to its own, because Seattle's a nice place to live. Whereas if Kevin Durant pans out and turns into a very good player in a few years' time, he'll be gone in a flash as soon as he's a free agent. I mean, who would want to live in Oklahoma City?
- Zabbawack, on 12/05/2008, -1/+8First pick in the Draft!
- pjf00, on 12/05/2008, -2/+8It sounds like a WNBA team
- rabidlemur, on 12/05/2008, -1/+6 Ultra, mega, douchbag, dick face, *****, ass clown dumb ***** who deserves to be drawn, quartered, stabbed, shot, hung, boiled in oil and buried in peat moss until his body decomposes!
Clay Bennet should be there with him but I cant think of any worse fate then being from Oklahoma so I believe he has suffered enough. - HookmasterCH47, on 12/05/2008, -1/+6Almost as bad as Magic, Nuggets, and Heat...
Face it, the NBA has pretty ***** names. - 1773nium, on 12/05/2008, -3/+8Ever been there?
- 1773nium, on 12/05/2008, -2/+6Oh I agree, that's why I included management in my original comment. All I'm really saying is don't put this on the location being Oklahoma City.
I mean seriously...who really expects to win with someone like Swift coming off the bench. - HeWhoRoams, on 12/05/2008, -0/+4I came to this thread to say the same thing. Try losing as a state of mind and not a record and see how it feels.
- inactive, on 12/05/2008, -1/+5Fathering more children.
- monroe1200, on 12/05/2008, -2/+6they don't...you can't call that a team.
- monroe1200, on 12/05/2008, -1/+5Smokin a fatty and laughin at OKC!!!...in Seattle!!!
- GnralHavoc, on 12/05/2008, -3/+7No offense but they would have been that bad if they would have stayed in Seattle. I mean you can't manufacture this kind of bad.
- yohnstoppable, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3God, it's such a crime Barry Sanders spent his career playing for such a bad franchise. Imagine if he'd played pretty much anywhere else what numbers he might have put up.
- ralphie81, on 12/05/2008, -1/+4Granted, the team sucked before and now they have expanded upon their sucky ways. However, motivation and team spirit does play a part and if the players are playing in a crappy atmosphere, their motivation is going to go down.
The article states that there is "no apparent reason" for the "serious turn for the worse this season" from Wilcox, Watson, Wilkins and Collison. But I'd argue that lack of motivation is the reason. - PunkFenixJT, on 12/05/2008, -1/+4You mean there'll be a worse team this decade than the Knicks? Incredible!!
- Birrell, on 12/05/2008, -2/+5Except that the owners built this team to lose so it would be easier to move them from Seattle. The real villian here is Howard Schultz, who sold the team for a profit despite claiming he was losing money.
***** you Howard. ***** you Clay. - EnvisionThis, on 12/05/2008, -8/+11
they have more wins than the Sonics... zinggggggggg! - CTabuga, on 12/05/2008, -2/+5Man very nostalgic of those supersonic years.
- Apocalyptic0n3, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3If I could digg you up a million times, I would. The Lions are the worst franchise in the history of sports
- uncouthyouth, on 12/05/2008, -1/+4Misleading. The author poses the question of whether they could be the worst of all time, then spends the rest of the article providing different reasons why that's probably not the case.
- cle2105, on 12/05/2008, -4/+7At least it beats Oklahoma City Bombers. Too soon?
- slayersotaku, on 12/05/2008, -2/+4@Jambi
Don't knock it until you live there. Considering Oklahoma hasn't had much impact from the housing crisis and the cost of living is low the OKC isn't to bad of a place to live in. Except the excessively cold wind we've had this week. - Midtowner, on 12/05/2008, -2/+4The Sonics had been bad for a long time.
Attendance was at the bottom of the league.
Do you guys even miss the Sonics? - ADAMWK, on 12/05/2008, -0/+2The REIGN MAN!!!
- gamben0, on 12/06/2008, -0/+2There are sidewalks all over this city. I'm not sure what part of town you are from but every place I've lived for the last 29 years has sidewalks...
On another note, I knew it was just a matter of time before one of the articles popped up. Our team is beyond horrible... ridicule is much deserved. - roomforpanic, on 12/05/2008, -0/+2Didn't you read badwithcomputer's how-to on getting articles to the front page: Use sensational titles.
- rabidlemur, on 12/05/2008, -1/+3I hate you!
- lynx44, on 12/05/2008, -0/+2But you have to admit that it would have made a lot of sense to keep them here. We could have had the (close to the) worst team in just about every sport!
- shieldsikebana, on 12/05/2008, -3/+5I just wanted the team to be called the panhandlers ;_; not gay thunder
- devophl, on 12/05/2008, -1/+3They won't for long at this rate.

Connect dots pls! - swanny89, on 12/05/2008, -1/+3Why not the the Twisters or the Roughnecks? There were so many better names that they could have used.
- inactive, on 12/05/2008, -1/+3It sounds like a freakin' roller derby team.
- RedViper1999, on 12/05/2008, -2/+4Actually Washington teams have been cursed by the Sonics leaving. The Seahawks are crap. UW is going to be 0-12, the mariners lost 100 games, and WSU is 2-11.
