        Yes, Kobe has modeled his game after Jordan's so has a lot of similar moves, but take a look at some of Jordan's moves that have been un-copyable. It's pretty incredible. Jordan has longer hangtime, bigger hands, faster reflexes, higher vertical, better first step, etc. Kobe is the closest to Jordan, but still not Jordan.

      Instead of doing the silly NBA player, WNBA player, old player team thing during the All-Star break, they should have a bracketed playoff with the top shooters in the NBA playing horse, with only a few basic rules. Halfcourt shots, over the backboard, from the scorer's table, etc.

      However, a simple comparison of Jordan's 97-98 stats with Bryant's 07-08
      shows Bryant with 1.84 stl/gm with Jordan only 1.7
      shows Bryant with 4.8 DReb/gm with Jordan only 4.2

      The league is now saturated with talent. Jordan in his prime playing
      in today's league would not get the same stats as Bryant.

Another interesting thing to notate in comparing Kobe of today to MJ of yesterday. - Zone defense- Kobe is still tearing team aparts being double and triple teamed left and right with collapsing defenses inside the paint. I am not so sure MJ would've been able to do some of the things he did if he faced the kind of looks teams throw at #24 today. These guys are still both greats in their own time.

Yeah he whored himself out but that is reasonable since who doesn't in this country if they had the chance to make millions? He wasn't going out showing off his money and getting pictured with whores and getting arrested for drinking and driving or whatever. Maybe he did those things but he kept it on the down low.

        Most remember him not for Space Jam or Hanes undies but as not only one of the best basketball players of all time but one of the greatest of any sport. That says something I think.

        The only negative thing I could say about him as an athlete is he failed in baseball. That was silly.

        Gonna give a shout out to Walter Payton too. Another Chicago legend.

      Air Jordans were probably the biggest thing since sliced bread, I would say Jordan could handle both the game and the fame.
      All the Kobe haters have just resorted to comparisons of the greatest basketball player ever constantly every week, it just shows how truly great he is but they would rather not admit it. Instead they try to compare him so he looks like the loser.

      Stop getting caught up in the drama with kobe's private life or maybe you guys should just watch all the day time dramas for chicks on tv. When it comes down to it Kobe throws down the points and not to mention the famous 81 points which is so much harder to achive against todays defense than it was back in Jordan/Kareem era. Kobe makes basketball fun to watch unlike a lot of the other players, he has one of the best fade away shots ever and can draw the most ridiculous fouls while still making the shot.
