- d2002, on 11/12/2008, -1/+16I wonder if Phoenix regrets the Joe Johnson trade now....
- inactive, on 11/13/2008, -6/+18I hope Lakers win championship and Kobe rubs it in Shaqs face
- tohms19, on 11/12/2008, -5/+13that 6-0 start by the Hawks should be taken with a grain of salt. Especially if you consider the only good team theyve beaten is New Orleans.
- pandorazboxx, on 11/13/2008, -0/+7In a related story, Wizards remain totally defeated. Where is the defense? :-(
- SnuKs, on 11/13/2008, -1/+7Tell me how my ass tastes!
- thesubterfuge, on 11/13/2008, -8/+13LAKERS!!!!
yeah...yeah...not a real comment...whatevs... - roxgod666, on 11/13/2008, -0/+5Someone was the last pick for dodgeball.
- jsindal, on 11/13/2008, -0/+5Paul Pierce FTW!
- bigtimslim, on 11/13/2008, -2/+6The Hawks could now lose the rest of their games and still make the playoffs in the east... I'm a disgruntled Warriors fan
- llama5492, on 11/13/2008, -2/+6GO LAKERS!
- pyroguy56011, on 11/13/2008, -3/+782-0, here we come! Go Lakers!
- Alanamaslama, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3Buried because Hawks lost 20 minutes ago.
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -1/+4Or the Shawn Marion trade while we're at it.
- harrison5394, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3Correction: Lakers 7-0, Hawks 6-1
- bigtimslim, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3Suit thunder Dan back up
- bigtimslim, on 11/13/2008, -1/+4dugg down for whatevs
- mislam, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3I think you should eat a pint of salt. They are undefeated and that's the bottom line. They have beat 4 playoff teams from last year. What else do you want?
- elchuy, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3The Hawks just lost 102-103. But the Lakers are still undefeated.
- nrt25, on 11/13/2008, -1/+4Buried for implying that a 6-0 regular season start means much in the NBA
- XtremeFluff, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3Hawks Lose
Celtics Pwn
You suck - badenglishihave, on 11/13/2008, -1/+4Not anymore, baby! Go Celtics!
- vsujohn2, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2How so? They've already beat 4 teams that were predicted to make the playoffs, ahead of the hawks. Besides, just because they might not be "that" good, the hawks don't start this way often, so I think that speaks volumes on it own. I'd say that the Hawks have beat a better group of teams than the Celtics have so far this year.
- BigDHimself, on 11/13/2008, -2/+4This submission is going to look dumb in about 4 hours when the celtics finish beating the hawks...
- vitaspero, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2And that's why they're beating the Celtics by 16 right now? Can't wait to see the rest of this beating.
- ranga55, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2Buried. Paul Pierce ownage.
- badwithcomputer, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2complaining about sports stories when they hit the front page != changing your settings to not see sports stories
- bigtoes, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2Actually they lost game 7 . The series was 3-3 going back to Boston .
- fokov, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2I would also keep in mind, even though they lose a few key parts, they did take the Celtics to 7 games last year. I imagine the team is hungry knowing they came so close to beating the best.
- BN89, on 11/13/2008, -0/+1Not at all. It had to do with the salary cap and Phoenix has never been willing to go over the luxury tax. It was either lose him for nothing and trade him and get something.
- lefthandpisces, on 11/13/2008, -1/+2go hawks!
- AmazingA, on 11/13/2008, -0/+1You can get a lot better feel for a teams energy/momentum in person.
I do have some bonus footage of your sister though.
- SnuKs, on 11/13/2008, -1/+2Christmas will be a punch in the face for you guys.
- AmazingA, on 11/12/2008, -1/+2The Hawks are for real. I made it to game six against the Celtics last year, and Atlanta showed that the can beat anybody. They're only better this year.
- Dugglous, on 11/13/2008, -0/+1He' talking about NBA Live 2008. He with the help of a controller singlehandedly took the Hawks to game six vs. the Celtics in NBA Live 2008.
- Blacksoth, on 11/13/2008, -0/+1My point is, the NBA is a joke (and yes, I did watch some of those games). The corruption that has only expanded under Stern has gotten completely out of hand. I'm sure there WERE some games where L.A. got screwed on calls, but more often then not it's the other way around.
It's not like I have anything against the Lakers per se (I rather like Odom actually) but when you get to the finals because the NBA decided it was your "turn" or because they think it would be a "historic rivalry" it's just BS.
And let's face it, a lot of the BS is all about popularity and population concentration. Kobe deserved MVP? BS. Lebron James was more deserving.
If you think Kobe deserved MVP you probably think "superman" deserved to be slam dunk champion. The first guy in NBA history to win a slam dunk competition without actually doing a slam dunk.
Just call the damn game fair before basketball gets the same reputation as boxing. - kjones555, on 11/13/2008, -0/+1they lost to boston last night by one point because of that lucky ***** Paul Pierce. Atlanta is a force to be reconed with this year!
- Fraun, on 11/13/2008, -1/+2HAHAHA I WAS AT THE GAME.....LAST 7 SECONDDSSSSSS W00000000ttttt
- Sroek, on 11/13/2008, -2/+2Or not re-signing Eddie House
- Dugglous, on 11/13/2008, -1/+1It wasn't so much a beating as Hawks only fell short of 2 points, but Lakers remain undefeated 7-0!!
However the story does look dumb now, dugg! - anarchyinthekr, on 11/13/2008, -1/+1hey shaq, tell me how my ass tastes
- Blacksoth, on 11/13/2008, -2/+2When the refs give you all the calls is anyone really surprised? Oh, I'm sorry. "Elbows" Kobe is so talented he can plow people in the ribs without getting a foul call. Short memory, huh? Boston embarrassed the Lakers in the finals last year because Boston was there legit and L.A. was there because the refs arranged it that way.
Guess they figured MORE calls in the Laker's favour was the answer. Better hope they don't go up against a good team again or it'll be that much more embarrasing for them. (We saw what the real Kobe could do in the olympics when he actually had to try.) - roxgod666, on 11/13/2008, -1/+1Ohh i didn't realize there are deleted scenes when you watch game six on tv. How much bonus footage was there?
- bigtoes, on 11/13/2008, -1/+1Yeah , Hawks just lost a heart breaker but without Josh Smith & Zaza Pachulia . They sure didn't look like the team that got destroyed those 4 playoff games in Boston last year . They are a contender . Those young legs will be just as impressive in April & May . It could easily be Hawks vs Lakers in the finals .
- spicytempura, on 11/13/2008, -1/+0Did you actually watch the Lakers' postseason? For most of the games, the Lakers never got many free-throw attempts because they never attacked the basket. In fact, they never got as much calls as their opponents did, period. They never got calls, but it was because they kept hanging around the three point area; that's why they were one of the best three point shooting teams in the league. Their offensive efficiency was very good, and they could win by that alone, but not with Boston, and that's why they lost.
Anyways, this year is different; this year they're aggressive. They're actually driving to the basket, unlike last year, and their defense is insane. - aguywithnobeer, on 11/13/2008, -3/+2^yes it does, last time lakers went 6-0, they won the championships
- badenglishihave, on 11/13/2008, -2/+1True words. The Celtics keep proving that they know how to come from behind and make big plays when it matters. Just look at Monday night's game.
- vegx, on 11/13/2008, -3/+1I'm impressed that one man took the Celtics to six games.
