- rwbrinso, on 06/25/2009, -0/+27If the Knicks get "the next Kobe" at 29 in *this* draft, I'll give the Lakers $3 million myself.
- aguywithnobeer, on 06/25/2009, -1/+24More money to pay for Odom and Ariza
- jfield1, on 06/25/2009, -0/+13The pick is not worth the guaranteed contract and roster spot the Lakers would have been forced into using.
- slicksoul999, on 06/25/2009, -0/+11They don't need a draft pick.
- inactive, on 06/25/2009, -1/+10knicks just wasted 3 million dollars.
- BridgeBurner, on 06/25/2009, -0/+8That's $3m more they can use to keep Odom and Ariza around and Dr. Buss isn't exactly strapped for cash.
- HamSandwich, on 06/25/2009, -0/+8What if they use that money to keep the team together? Win.
- KungFooJesus, on 06/25/2009, -3/+9Great move by the Lakers. The knicks, well, bad pick in a bad draft for a bad team. I suppose it's fitting.
- sgentry6, on 06/25/2009, -0/+4LA doesn't have room on it's roster for another player. They're looking at 13 if they resign Ariza and Odom.
- roxgod666, on 06/25/2009, -0/+4I lost all attention after "ATTENTION DIGGERS"
- brainboy7777, on 06/25/2009, -1/+4$3 mil for no. 29? Why did Mike D'Antoni leave the Suns for these idiots?
- duniyadnd, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2The lakers don't need a player to take up cap space from the Knicks roster. They offloaded a player to a team that needed a heavy roster with a low salaries because they want to pick up 2-3 all star players in 2010. Everyone knows that most of the team are expendable in the next few years, players like Quentin Richardson, Eddy Curry, Tim Thomas, and many many more. I can't wait for an actual team that can make it past the 50% mark.
Of course, once 2010 rolls around, the Dolan idiots will increase ticket prices immensely just like they did with the Rangers tickets this coming season even though they're in a bad position in terms of salary cap and they got kicked out in the first round. - wendelgee2, on 06/25/2009, -0/+2reported.
- ninerskeet, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2Wow! Do the 29th picks even garner 3 million in salary?
- thomasverches, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2Good move by the Lakers...they don't need to draft anyone right now.
- Rahaz, on 06/28/2009, -0/+1The Lakers don't need a lot of new players shaking up the teams chemistry. They've got steady talent and a winning strategy right now.
- Rahaz, on 06/28/2009, -0/+1Since I like the Lakers I can say that this is a good move on their part. They don't need to shake up their team right now. They have steady talent that will let them succeed next season and a winning formula.
As a Knicks fan I'm really disappointed. What a waste of money. The 29th pick really? - yammy1688, on 06/26/2009, -1/+1HAHA ARIZAAAA!!!
- WatupJosh, on 06/26/2009, -2/+0Thats why hockey trumps basketball. Selling picks for money, what a joke!
- kkm3, on 06/26/2009, -3/+0These "win" comments are getting lame. FAIL.
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -4/+0the knicks are the biggest joke in sports history
- anandsingh1979, on 06/25/2009, -5/+0this is test
- ptFoe, on 06/25/2009, -10/+3most non top 10 draft picks are a bust, why is this ***** on the front page
- TomGfromCanada, on 06/25/2009, -9/+1bad move, but i guess with Shaq now in Cleveland they don't want to save up for Lebron in 2010
- thedsack, on 06/25/2009, -11/+2$3M? what if he is the Next Kobe?
- RoroCo, on 06/25/2009, -12/+1I would hate to be a Lakers fan and hear this news. I heard of punting picks, but you always try to get some value out of it... Outside of fattening the owner's wallet.
