- muslax27, on 04/08/2008, -17/+2***** why didn't we just foul him
- jcm267, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7You played in the NCAA championship game?
- TommyMon, on 04/08/2008, -9/+3Good stuff.
- jdotter, on 04/08/2008, -3/+51Those poor kids from Memphis are going to be haunted by free-throws for the rest of their lives and Kansas proved it ain't over till it's over. Hell of a game-
- cRmtIMe, on 04/08/2008, -12/+6***** Memphis! Their players were assholes. Especially Dorsey.
- robdiggity, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Dude posed like Hulk Hogan after an alley-oop. Deserved to get spanked.
- cRmtIMe, on 04/08/2008, -12/+6***** Memphis! Their players were assholes. Especially Dorsey.
- cRmtIMe, on 04/08/2008, -4/+61One of the best NCAA Championships I have ever seen.
- pintomp3, on 04/08/2008, -1/+15i agree. my bracket was busted by kansas but i jumped out of my seat when chalmers hit that 3. both teams brought lots of speed and athleticism , great scoring runs, amazing defense and offense, and just made for a very exciting game.
- Cerebral, on 04/08/2008, -10/+1I watched the game and this is what I still don't understand about college sports... both teams sucked ass and played very poorly which is usually what happens in not only college sports (basketball and football mostly) but in big college sports matchups. Aside from a few prayer shots from a couple of players the majority of the game was bricking shots, bad passes and sloppy gameplay.
Kansas was beating Memphis badly down low and for some reason they stopped doing that. For Memphis, well you have Rose who looked like he didn't want to lead yet at the same time they kept giving him the ball when CDR was having an amazing night. It actually made me laugh a little when Kansas went to the 4 box 1 defense simply because Kansas was playing the defense for what the Memphis offense SHOULD have been doing.
It was no surprise that Kansas was going to win in OT once they went back to the gameplay that put them in the lead in the first place considering Memphis had lost their big man to a horrible foul (mentally not horrible as in bad call).

- vanzan, on 04/08/2008, -4/+35Beating UNC and Roy, then beating Memphis with a great comeback. It's so priceless.
- wukillabee, on 04/08/2008, -4/+29MEMPHIS CHOKED!
- fakeplasticsnow, on 04/08/2008, -17/+4Wow, great game, but Memphis totally ***** up the end with foul shots. 4 shots and the last minute and only made one. I'm sorry for their loss, but they deserved it. I still think that Derick Rose's shot should have been counted for a three just for being so badass.
- jordanlgta, on 04/08/2008, -2/+29I'm from Memphis. They said if Memphis won that it would bring our crime-ridden city together. Well, Memphis lost so I guess that means keep your head down and load your weapons for a war?
- sjones12, on 04/08/2008, -3/+38CHALMERS WITH THE SHOT!
- SirRudy, on 04/08/2008, -1/+23That kid's jersey is going in the rafters one day. That shot'll be replayed forever.
- aceakm, on 04/08/2008, -0/+9http://youtube.com/watch?v=UHt0tszfk3A
- onetimer, on 04/08/2008, -3/+16COACH CALIPARI: "I'll say it again. Tough-minded kids, players, will make free throws. They're not thinking about free-throw percentage. A weak-minded player could have a 90% average at the line, and his knees are knocking. Well, he's gonna miss. So percentages don't matter."
Well that certainly came back to bite him in the ass. On the plus side, that Kansas victory just made me $150 dollars richer. Hooray for illegal bracket pools!- pintomp3, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5he started to show some arrogance when he began dismissing the free throw issue. anyone can sink free throws when there is no pressure, but in close game situations your practice and technique will help you overcome the pressure. not many teams have been able to put memphis in a close game situation, but when they did memphis folded at the free throw line.
- bitmanx, on 04/08/2008, -2/+30That was great to see Roy with a Jayhawk sticker on him in the stands.. Congrat's to the Jayhawks and an awesome finish.
- Matic, on 04/08/2008, -6/+4Guess whose mom is from Kansas?
- drluke21, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7Rick Astley's?
- polymorphist, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Hint: that mom is related to Dick Cheney...
- AgentMull, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2My dads?
- fucknuggets, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5mine?
- AgentMull, on 04/08/2008, -3/+24Allen Field House, and Downtown Lawrence were the most awesome thing I have ever experienced. There is no place I would rather go to college than KU.
- elalonde, on 04/08/2008, -8/+6Dude, you have to live in KANSAS!
- skylights, on 04/08/2008, -2/+11Lawrence has as much to do with Kansas as Austin has to do with Texas.
- Brettus, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7^ True statement. I live in Wichita, KS and going to Lawrence is like walking into a completely different world.
- robdiggity, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Yup. A mid-sized college town.
- AgentMull, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1An awesome mid-sized college town.
- robdiggity, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Yup. A mid-sized college town.
- thetanbark, on 04/08/2008, -0/+14Yep, watching the game in a packed living room with 25 other people, then exploding when Chalmers hit that shot. Our whole neighborhood just off Iowa St. was outside screaming... then heading down to Mass Street and partying with everybody here in Lawrence is something I'll never forget.
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK, GO KU! - beforefiction, on 04/08/2008, -0/+12yeah. mass street was the best party ever. there is no place i'd rather be than lawrence tonight.
- tenster, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Ditto that my brother.
- philojustin, on 04/09/2008, -0/+2ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!
- elalonde, on 04/08/2008, -8/+6Dude, you have to live in KANSAS!
- capty, on 04/08/2008, -20/+3weren't they up at halftime?
one of the great comebacks is not 9 points in 2 minutes.
sorry.
great comebacks :
ut vs usc 2006 national championship game
tracy mcgrady's ridiculous 30 seconds of whatever 15 points....
not 9 points in 2 minutes- weeman43302, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Tracy Mcgrady in '06? Really?
- aliyaga, on 04/08/2008, -7/+1Go Davidson!!! .... ohh, wait a second...
- pintomp3, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2stephen curry is coming back next year, who knows..
- twistedtrick, on 04/08/2008, -4/+83-point converted to a 2-point and the lucky three-point were definitely the highlights I remember. What a game!
- tehbishop, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1You should probably just remember the Alamo...dome and that loud choking sound coming from it too yanno.
- habhi, on 04/08/2008, -14/+9definitely not one of the greatest comebacks, but a good game nonetheless.
- Ocelot13, on 04/08/2008, -10/+28heres the 9 points they got in the final 2 minutes to send it into OT. Chalmers 3 pointer was clutch for kansas.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=5Y9tQ7DdmZw- RevJonathan, on 04/08/2008, -3/+6Hopefully the NCAA won't take that video down, they could've cut the commercials though.
- Sh0cker, on 04/08/2008, -2/+5Impressive, thanks!
- Livewire, on 04/08/2008, -3/+6give me your home address.
- xerigen, on 04/08/2008, -1/+4Oh, wow! Awesome to watch.
- CobaltBlue, on 04/08/2008, -1/+4Check out the move at 2:46. He lays it all on the line there.
- skimikaze, on 04/08/2008, -6/+4Freakin Rick rolled.....Bastard
- Brettus, on 04/08/2008, -3/+1Way to give it up, ass.
- Fawkes, on 04/08/2008, -9/+2This totally disrupts the BBQ theorem: NC > Memphis > Kansas
- AgentMull, on 04/08/2008, -3/+14You honestly think KC has the worst BBQ? We're the BBQ capital of the world.
- wepeel, on 04/08/2008, -4/+2I think you mean Lexington, NC
- sneedo, on 04/08/2008, -4/+7Kansas City BBQ is from Missouri, not Kansas... ignorance...
- a2fan, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5We've got good BBQ all over this area, some are from the hole in the wall joints in small towns in rural areas, and many American Royal winners have been from Kansas.
- ksbrent2, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Kansas City spreads over two states Kansas City, KS and Kansas City, MO..... One of the best BBQ contests in the country is held in Lenexa, KS, a suburb of Kansas City, KS. You just prove to everyone some of the brightest people come from Missouri.
- AgentMull, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Oklahoma Joe's
47th and Mission
Kansas City, Kansas
Best barbecue in KC
- skylights, on 04/08/2008, -1/+7Simple: Reverse the theorem. Kansas (City) > Memphis > NC. Now it makes sense. In terms of both BBQ and basketball.
- AgentMull, on 04/08/2008, -3/+14You honestly think KC has the worst BBQ? We're the BBQ capital of the world.
- zaphus, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Spoiler alert...
- asskicker32, on 04/08/2008, -19/+1Both these teams suck
- StanleyKoolPrik, on 04/08/2008, -11/+2I guess Kansas is good for something other than tornadoes.
- fonetikly, on 04/08/2008, -10/+4Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk?
Tire, Wire, Die in a Fire!- Cerebral, on 04/08/2008, -0/+4That sounds stupid. WTF is that?
- fonetikly, on 04/08/2008, -1/+0That's their silly chant. Rock, chalk, jayhawk. I think rock and chalk are only there because they rhyme with the Jayhawk, which is a bird they made up. They say it really slow like this: roooooooooock, chaaaaaaaaaallk jaaaaaaaaaaaaayyhaaaaaaaawk. KKKKKKKKKK UUUUUUUUUU. It sounds like a cadre of retarded benadictine monks when they do it.
Seriously KU. Were they all out of chants? Aren't there birds that actually exist that you could name yourselves after? This is why the rest of us fly over your state.- optimo, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Jayhawk is a fake name, but the rest of it kinda makes sense.

Come home.- AgentMull, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1He is home.
- MyDiggIsBig, on 04/08/2008, -3/+2wow those announcers were boring. i watched only the last 10 minutes but wow. They knew their stuff, but their voices were so unenthusiastic. I swear that i did not know this was the final game until after it ended. The atmosphere felt like a typical game.
- david5t, on 04/08/2008, -1/+3What the f-. Go away bandwagon NCAA basketball fan. Games during the season have more college atmosphere because students (ie: free student tickets embedded in tuition most of the time) are there; post season... NCAA tourney tickets aren't cheap and easy to get.
- MyDiggIsBig, on 04/08/2008, -2/+2ya i hate college sports. im not even a bandwagon. im not even on the wagon

- wsycng, on 04/08/2008, -3/+6This is dedicated to o all those who said UNC or Memphis was going to win it all.
- Iskate4salomon, on 04/08/2008, -11/+5YEAAAHHHH! LAWRENCE IS CRAZY! I LOVE LIVING HERE!
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK BABY!
UNC AND MEMPHIS DON'T GOT ***** ON US!- elalonde, on 04/08/2008, -7/+4You still live in Kansas though.

- kitaljevich, on 04/08/2008, -8/+6CAPITAL LETTERS DON"T MAKE IT ANY MORE INTERESTING.
- jawni, on 04/08/2008, -1/+5awesome game, but i dont think the comeback was as good as this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFYnersg2Us
- bclinton, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Too many white guys on the losing team.
- theotheragentm, on 04/08/2008, -1/+10As a UCLA Alumni and long time UNC hater, congratulations Kansas!

- edorsey20, on 04/08/2008, -11/+0screw KU, they ain't got ***** on K-State.
- pintomp3, on 04/08/2008, -0/+10except a national championship.
- robdiggity, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Well, three.
- AgentMull, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6Except three National Championships, 9 more Final Fours, and a *****-ton of Big XII and Big Eight Championships.
- skylights, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5I'm a K-Stater and this guy's an idiot. KSU fans should cheer KU when KSU isn't in it. I was partying on Mass Street tonight with the best of them. Save the rivalry for next year.
- edorsey20, on 04/08/2008, -3/+0please do not judge my intelligence level based on my hatred for a team. i am a loyal fan, loyal fans dont cheer for their rivals.
- grink03, on 04/09/2008, -0/+0ROFL K-State has 0 national titles, not just in basketball but in every possible athletic sport, they have never won a thing, ever.
- edorsey20, on 04/09/2008, -0/+0i believe we were one of 3 teams to beat KU this year. you can't be a true fan for one team and root for the other in a rivalry its not how they work. true fans don't go for the next best alternative, they stick it out through the tough times and the good times.
- grink03, on 04/09/2008, -0/+0ROFL K-State has 0 national titles, not just in basketball but in every possible athletic sport, they have never won a thing, ever.
- pintomp3, on 04/08/2008, -0/+10except a national championship.
- Syphermce, on 04/08/2008, -29/+2OMG! Does anyone actually care about this *****-ball sport? Anyone? Anyone at all.... That's what I thought.
- digitaldeity, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1You may want to have a one on one talk with your mother. From the looks of your profile picture, your mom may have attended one too many basketball games.
- Brettus, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Reported.
- smarty927, on 04/08/2008, -0/+16Meh, I go to school at UNC. We got raped the first half. We know. Even though Kansas and the rest of NCAA basketball hates us, we still pulled for Kansas because of our connections. Why do so many people hate us? It's sad. I'm still pissed that Roy didn't call a timeout until we were 26 points down. Hell of a game Kansas. You deserved it.
- pintomp3, on 04/08/2008, -0/+4there is a lot hate towards power conferences like acc and big east in general, but unc and duke garner a special hatred because of the attention they receive. much of it unc deserves, but duke has been so overrated the past few years it's turning people against tobacco road in general. hopefully some of that duke myth is starting to erode, though i'm sure duke vitale will continue to remind us about how good j.j. reddick was.
- robdiggity, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1[vitale_voice]And don't forget BOBBY HUUUURLEEY!!! AND CHRISTIAN LAETNER BAYBEEE! A LITTLE DIPSY-DOO DUNKEROO![/vitale_voice]
Okay I think I hurt myself there.
- robdiggity, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1[vitale_voice]And don't forget BOBBY HUUUURLEEY!!! AND CHRISTIAN LAETNER BAYBEEE! A LITTLE DIPSY-DOO DUNKEROO![/vitale_voice]
- moederj, on 04/08/2008, -0/+11Hey I go to Kansas and any hate towards UNC is gone from my friends and I. That was a hell of a game on Saturday and Roy leaving is water under the bridge. His wearing the Jayhawk tonight was classy and we have nothing but respect for him.
- robdiggity, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3Class of '94 here. Agreed 100%. Roy's a good man and as far as KU/UNC/Illinois thing goes, we'll always be family.
- osfn8, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2People not on the east coast feel that the Big East and ACC get too much credit from the media just because they are near the largest cities.
- jwk4heels, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2I'm a student at UNC, too, I can say that I bear no ill will against Kansas. They're an amazing team and they just played better than us, plain and simple. Congrats to KU.
- Smooooth, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3To UNC:
As a KU student I would like to thank Roy and the UNC program for being so classy. You are a great example of college basketball tradition. Thank you.

- pooter654, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Mizzou, the guys who bent KU over at arrowhead a few months back
- Mike23132, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Why is it that every KU fan suffers from Amnesia when it comes to that game?!? They're just angry that their football team will be worse next season while Mizzou's team will be even better.
- pooter654, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Mizzou, the guys who bent KU over at arrowhead a few months back

- geoffpado, on 04/08/2008, -6/+1At least they play basketball better than football. Don't see them wearing the playing field this time.
- futuretheory, on 04/08/2008, -0/+8Yeah... er, wait, KU won the Orange Bowl this year too!
- Smooooth, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7ummm...12-1?
- SirFoxx, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1You shouldn't have been in the Orange Bowl, Missouri kicked your ass and had the much tougher schedule. See on the field next year when the Tigers kick your ass again on the way to the National Championship.
- ipoopy, on 04/08/2008, -2/+5Memphis can't make their free throws, and that's what they get. Rock Chalk Jayhawks!
- bensully, on 04/08/2008, -5/+14I would just like to say,
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK GO KU.
That is all.

- Torx, on 04/08/2008, -5/+2We'll never see another season like this again, and we probably will never make finals again or at least when im still alive... Theres a gloom lurking over Memphis right now you can see it, hear it, and smell it...
- bclinton, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Thats not gloom you smell - that's the smell coming from all the meth labs in the city....just an FYI
- Gusbob, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3The guy who made that statistics program based on possession efficiency got it correct!
- SillyRabbits, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2What the hell is with the graph that uses the color purple for one line, and dark blue for the other? Hasn't anyone ever tought them how to make a chart? If they really wanted to keep those colors at least make one of the lines dotted.
- Butros, on 04/08/2008, -0/+4quick, everyone on the bandwagon!
