Jason Kidd Leaves Nike For Chinese Company
sportingnews.com — Before making his trip back to the U.S. after the Beijing Games, Kidd announced he will wear shoes made by Peak, a Chinese company, and ditch Nike.

As we've already seen, some players are moving to Europe this season and getting large contracts for it. The sport is globalizing very quickly, and I think it is for the better. And I think its about time we have a new player in the athletic apparel department.
I also don't think Nike is competing with other companies with their basketball shoe designs anymore. In my opinion, Adidas look way better. Nike just won't stray (even with a few models) from the retro/high-top look.
