Pitt is a damn good basketball team and has been so for a while, and after coming so close year after year, this year will be their year. Gone are the days of face palming watching Aaron Gray! The talent level with Blair, Young, Fields, Biggs, & Brown is too high and Dixon is too good of a damn coach. Maybe Pitt football will get close to this soon; first they gotta fire Cavanaugh and find a QB with an IQ over 100.
As for "Too bad the Pens are in 9th in the East." and "We'll see how Cindy stacks up against the Rangers tonight.":
Too bad the season isn't even half over and the pens are in a slump. Therrien seems to be having trouble finding the right line chemistry and the absence of Gonchar and Kennedy are really hurting. Also, Malkin > Crosby right now... regardless of what the rest of the team does, Rangers will have their hands full with Malkin. - Linkin4, on 01/05/2009, -1/+2On the other hand, it is worth noting that in the AP Georgetown dropped in the polls after beating the number 2 Uconn quite handily, and sticking with Pitt most of the game, only to fall in the end (even if it was by 15). I think that was a cheap shot to a good team, and I hope that this comment is somewhat neutral as I am a Uconn student and hate Georgetown. Also, Duke doesn't deserve #2, they got beat by a nobody.
