- inactive, on 12/29/2008, -7/+43Anyone else unaware of the Oklahoma Thunder besides me?
- murkem, on 12/29/2008, -6/+21Good. ***** the Oklahoma Thunder. (I live in Seattle).
- codyman, on 12/29/2008, -4/+16this is like watching the special ed kids vs the dyslexic kids at the spelling bee!
which team is going to win? nobody knows... - HookmasterCH47, on 12/29/2008, -3/+12In Oklahoma nobody gives a ***** about basketball until the football bowl games are over.
- dt40, on 12/28/2008, -2/+11When they were the Seattle Sonics, the team's management seemed to be trying hard to make them as bad as possible. They wanted to make sure that fans would not work hard to keep them so that they could move to Oklahoma, and they wanted some good draft picks so that they would be good in a few years.
They achieved the former, and they are doing well with getting high draft picks... they could be a good team in a few years, but they sure suck now. - ThePastafarian, on 12/29/2008, -0/+8Let me break it down for you:
"History?" - This question to preface the title serves as an indicator that the contents it refers to might possibly be historic of nature, in the sense that it either refers to a historic event or possibly a historic milestone that has been broken.
"Wizards beat Thunder" - Seeing as Wizards in the colloquial sense do not commonly attack or inflict a beating on thunder, it is reasonable to assume that these abstract names might refer to an organization or possibly a team name in an organized sport. Perhaps more information further in the title might reveal what they are?
"NBA's" - Ah! There we go! The "NBA", or Nation Basketball Association, is an American athletics league centered around the sport of basketball. It is therefore reasonable to conclude that the two names referenced previously are teams in this league, which have recently partaken in a match in which the "Wizards" defeated the "Thunder".
"Worst Match-up EVER" - Two possible meanings can be withdrawn from this: Either the game was the least desirable in quality of play in the history of the sport, or the combined records of the two opposing teams were a historic low.
As it turns out it is the latter, which you could have concluded by reading either the linked article or the description located directly below the title. Dumbass. - Intrusionv2, on 12/29/2008, -2/+10Funny, but partly false. The worst matchup ever was actually the Denver Nuggets at 2-28 vs the Dallas Mavericks at 5-27.
- 2point71, on 12/29/2008, -2/+9This is so embarrassing.
And I feel so betrayed.
(Seattle) - benitojuarez, on 12/29/2008, -1/+7they were previously known as the seattle supersonics.
- babaduchi, on 12/29/2008, -0/+4Haha, good job Pasta. Explaining things to the mentally challenged sure is a lot of work, ain't it?
- pintomp3, on 12/29/2008, -1/+5at least it wasn't an "upset"
- brsox2445, on 12/29/2008, -0/+3I believe the correct way to describe it is, "no matter who wins, both teams come out as losers".
- dignation, on 12/29/2008, -1/+4***** you seattle
- gkbd, on 12/29/2008, -3/+5i live 10 miles south of okc and had no idea
- Johnnyjm, on 12/29/2008, -0/+2...or cares.
- inactive, on 12/29/2008, -0/+2 You must live in a cave then gkbd
- radarplane, on 12/29/2008, -0/+2I'm in Oklahoma and I hate the way that ***** went down. Mostly because of the underhanded ***** that went on. I really hope to see some of those guys lose their asses on this deal. Won't ever happen, but the taxpayers who renovated the Oklahoma stadium are on the hook. And the Seattle folks who forked out tax dollars for their stadium are screwed.
- radarplane, on 12/29/2008, -0/+2How does Oklahoma rule Seattle?
- inactive, on 12/29/2008, -1/+3Yeah I see that now. I guess I haven't followed NBA in a many years now.
- inactive, on 12/29/2008, -2/+3Second worst matchup ever. First would go to the 2-28 nugs vs the 5-27 mavs in 1998.
- Soave, on 12/29/2008, -3/+4Isn't this technically a good match-up then, since they both suck?
- J16T3CH, on 12/29/2008, -0/+1I'll quote you on that, but it won't happen. NFL owners cannot own two teams in the same market. Besides, Paul Allen would not be dumb enough to massively renovate the Rose Garden (he actually owns it) only to relocate the team within the next two years and leave his hefty investment vacant?
I'm sure he'd love basketball in Seattle, but this is a business, and Allen is a good businessman. - woofers07, on 12/29/2008, -3/+3eat a dick Clay Bennett. In fact, eat all the dicks. Couldn't be happier to see this team fail, and I'm a Blazer fan.
- babaduchi, on 12/29/2008, -2/+2Oh it'll get worse for the Clay Bennett squad. I'll calling that Durant will opt out of his contract and leave.
- DutchOven, on 12/29/2008, -5/+5I seriously thought this was an NBA-WNBA exhibition game!
- benitojuarez, on 12/29/2008, -2/+2@nigelmansell

not posted as reply so as not to get lost in case of burying. - WSUcougars, on 12/29/2008, -4/+4Thunder? More Like Blunder! Am I Right?
- jec68, on 12/29/2008, -3/+2What about when 0-1 teams play each other in the second game of the year? huh? huh?! beat that!
- eeemart, on 12/29/2008, -2/+1man, i knew things were gonna get bad once the wiz fired eddie jordan, but not this bad!
- inactive, on 12/29/2008, -3/+2I really would not want to be anyone on either the Wizards or Thunder and see this article.
- jzh1554, on 12/29/2008, -1/+0I think they need to factor in the warrior-esque likeliness to FAIL on a consistent basis to this. It's not just being bad, its having the ability to wtfpwn really good teams then getting stomped upon by the second worst team, only ahead of the mighty warriors.
- iammzac, on 12/29/2008, -2/+1I can't believe they almost beat the Pistons the other night, I was at the game. Luckily AI made that final shot.
- nigelmansell, on 12/29/2008, -6/+4follow the Blunders @ http://benditlikebennett.blogspot.com/
- lnsomnia, on 12/29/2008, -3/+1Don't worry Blazer fan, Paul Allen owns the Seattle Seahawks & the Portland Trailblazers, since there is now an opening in Seattle for an NBA team, I think the Trailblazers will become the new Supersonics within 2 years. QUOTE ME!
- inactive, on 12/29/2008, -6/+3***** Seattle, Oklahoma rules your ass.
- Duffalpha, on 12/29/2008, -7/+4I love sports! With the point goals! I love to play them! I'm pretty good. Sports are so cool.
- Noooooooooooooo, on 12/29/2008, -3/+0Well I suppose it was at least an even match...games where one team gains a double digit lead is boring but this was probably ***** also (didn't watch it, did anyone?) so...meh.
- Yegger, on 12/29/2008, -4/+1Im with you on the ***** Oklahoma train
- spvn, on 12/29/2008, -8/+1Worst matcup ever? More like "Worst Digg Article Title Ever". I had no idea what the article was supposed to be about...

What is Digg?
