Haywood to LeBron: Stop whining and play ball

sports.espn.go.com — Overrated hasn't worked. Now one of the Washington Wizards is calling LeBron James another name: Crybaby. Following Cleveland's 100-97 win in Game 4 on Sunday, James, who has absorbed two flagrant fouls in this rough-and-tumble playoff series and has been banged around by the Wizards, was asked about Washington's tough-guy tactics.

      first.. a daring, outgoing digger is bravely searching the outer reaches of the internet to find stories and pictures they think we'll find as funny.

      second.. once found, the digger returns to digg and submits the link, typically ignoring all duplicates

      third... other diggers, presumably only friends, spend their time digging it up... generally not caring what it is.

      and finally.. once the GREAT AND POWERFUL ALGORITHM decides it has seen enough... It waves his mighty hand and poof...it becomes front page material.

He's very talented, sure...but given his ego you'd think he'd won 4 championships in a row already. As is, with the west being the way it is, I don't see him ever winning one unless he moves out there as a free agent or joins the Pistons or Celtics.

  • blackinthmiddle, on 04/29/2008, -0/+9Cleveland needs to handle this the way the bulls did when they played the Cavs one year in the playoffs. Ferry fouled Jordan real hard in one of the games. Jordan knew that if he tangled with Ferry and they both got ejected, Cleveland would benefit. So once the series was in hand, they pulled Jordan and brought in 6'10" Stacey King. I'm still shocked that Cleveland didn't see what was coming and pull Ferry.

    If the league is going to allow thugs like Stevenson go at LeBron, Cleveland might want to consider what the Bulls did.
    • ScottMitchell, on 04/29/2008, -0/+2Ah, good ol' Stacey King - The Enforcer. He'd ride the pine all game long, then you'd see him enter the game and you knew he would be on the court for about 30 seconds before being ejected for leveling a player from the opposing team.
      Perhaps you don't see "enforcers" so much anymore because the League is quick to fine the enforcer several tens of thousands of dollars, which is usually a decent chunk of change for players making the league minimum (as most enforcers would, you'd think).
