- mutwirik, on 04/11/2008, -10/+34Now prepare for a 1st round exit Maverick fans
- scubastza, on 04/11/2008, -5/+21I can't believe the end of that game! Williams hits a crazy off balance bank-3 and Dirk runs down a nails the game winner with .9 seconds... NBA playoffs baby, there's nothing like it!!! The playoff race is the closest I've ever seen it.
- GeekSwag, on 04/11/2008, -0/+13Horrible quality. This one is better: http://youtube.com/watch?v=TsjmYyDzYlc
- threemagic, on 04/11/2008, -0/+9Sloan beat someone in the locker room after the game.. he looks pissed
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -0/+8A playoff birth sounds painful. was it cesarean?
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -2/+10I screamed so loud last night when I saw this that I awoke the baby. Totally worth it.
- mytibt, on 04/11/2008, -0/+7More teams should practice running the final play off of a rebound because it doesn't allow the other team to reset their defense. If Dallas had called a TO, they would have doubled Dirk off the inbound and forced Devean George or someone to shoot it instead.
- mytibt, on 04/11/2008, -4/+11once he stops running around the arena high fiving everyone someone tell Mark Cuban they did not just win the championship
- thunderliger, on 04/11/2008, -0/+7the big German pixel
- NinjaPig, on 04/11/2008, -2/+9You can call the mavericks choking all you guys want. But for the last two games, with every team playing with playoff intensity, Nowitzki hit the game winning shots. Against Phoenix, he recovered from being off balance and hit the jumper, with a still recovering ankle. And last night, it was such an amazing play, because EVERYONE expected a time out after Deron's 3 pointer. But everyone forgot Dallas was out of timeouts, which pretty much caught the Jazz off gaurd when Dallas started running in the other direction.
Looks amazing on the replay though. - silentdragoon, on 04/11/2008, -0/+7anyone else noticed that it's getting closer and closer to the NBA playoffs?
- dougmidkiff, on 04/11/2008, -2/+8As a Dallas fan I appreciate your love of the Mavs, but we need to be honest with ourselves. The Mavs aren't better than the Spurs at this point in time.
- Divic, on 04/11/2008, -1/+7That was one of the greatest endings to a game I've seen in quite some time. For those of you who dont know, this is what Dirk did for quite a few years. He'd go back to the arena after practice/the game was over and practice his range shots. Thats what made him one of the better Three Point guys in the lead (Obviously no Peja/Ray Allen, but Still pretty solid)
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -0/+5Yeah that's weird, I bet there will be a lot of baseball stories in October, and football stories in January.
- PhildoVT, on 04/11/2008, -1/+6I wouldn't go that far
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -0/+4Wasn't that implied?
- vanzan, on 04/11/2008, -0/+4How dare Utah D leaves the MVP wide open
- Zihuatanejo, on 04/11/2008, -0/+4I guess you missed the ending to Kansas/Memphis.
- mvanhorn, on 04/11/2008, -0/+4wow totally thought that would be a rick roll haha
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -0/+4Yeah...I was looking for the baby.
- NinjaPig, on 04/11/2008, -2/+6Deron admitted in the post conference that he was trying to flop.
- OakRidger, on 04/11/2008, -0/+4Yeah, but a playoff birth sounds pretty painful.
- bcclist, on 06/11/2008, -0/+4Dirk has made the main page again for the 2nd time in as many weeks...
- dunnduggit, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3The last couple minutes of that game were incredible.
- shmidlab, on 04/11/2008, -2/+5pfft.. must be a Utah fan. It wasn't a very well officaited game, but it was officiated evenly. They also didn't call Dirk getting raked across the face on a layup and his arm hammered on a another layup under the basket in the 4th. If they aren't gonna call cheap fouls for one superstar then they probably shouldn't fot the other. Deron wasn't even touched on that 3 at the end.
Be a Dallas hater if you want, but home court means diddly this year. Only 7 games seperate first from last place in the Western Conference playoffs. - Bamshackle, on 04/11/2008, -1/+4To bad that come playoff time the Dallas team will choke it up and lose four straight!.
- MasterPlayer, on 04/11/2008, -4/+7I love how there are a lot of basketball stories/videos making it to the front page.
- NinjaPig, on 04/11/2008, -1/+4Its because this is a historic year where the western conference is absolutely brutal, but yeah its nice.
- schwartzwithyou, on 04/11/2008, -4/+7That was one of the coolest endings I've seen in a long time
- ShorD143, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3agreed. I saw AJ at a restaurant a few months back (I live in dallas), and I went up to him and told him I appreciated what he did in san antonio.
- monkeydemon, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3Why isn't our children learning?
- Dirtynoodle111, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3Even better quality.

No, it's not a RickRoll. - R3yDigg, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3Look the Warriors handled the Mavs last year because they were built by Don Nelson the then/now coach of the Warriors, he knew exactly how to take that team apart, I don't think most other coaches have that kind of knowledge of their opponents. I am hoping the Mavs do better this year.
- glasnostic, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3gotta agree with dougmidkiff there... Spurs > Mavs all the way... but hey, you can come down here any time..
also.. tell AJ we still love him, even though he is a Maverick now. - Boshow, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3Because it won the game, you silly goose.
- TripleAStacked, on 04/11/2008, -1/+3Yeah..if they end up facing the lakers i smell a sweep
- NinjaPig, on 04/11/2008, -1/+3Just for everyone not a dallas mavericks fan, the reason this play is so amazing is because if you watch closely as Dallas transitions and keep your eye on Nowitzki, you see him running and asking for the ball at the same time, and an immediate release as soon as he gets it.
- D3ADBOLT, on 04/11/2008, -4/+6That title should read: Dirk Nowitzki secures first round playoff elimination
- phazon88, on 04/11/2008, -3/+5Dirk ***** owns.
/nuff said. - talonstriker, on 04/11/2008, -0/+2actually, I thought that it'd be a spoof video making fun of the spelling mistake.
- lg41, on 04/11/2008, -0/+2Dirk driving. fouled by ginobili. 3 point play. Overtime. Mavs beat the spurs. Went on to the finals. Can't do anything when game is on the line you say? How about 50 points to close out the suns to go on to the finals. People easily forget these stuff...He is as clutch as anyone in the league; he also misses shot as anyone in the league.
- boogak, on 04/11/2008, -3/+5That's why Dirk was the MVP last season before the 1st round flameout. People forget how clutch he was in the 2006 playoffs prior to the Finals, he single handedly destroyed Memphis, San Antonio, and Phoenix that year. Now that Dallas are underdogs again, I predict great things this year in the playoffs.
- one1082, on 04/11/2008, -1/+3i was at the game last night. i was going f'ing crazy after that shot (as was everyone else). awesome ending to an awesome game. go mavs!
- lg41, on 04/12/2008, -0/+2Spurs fan?
- DarthNowitzki, on 04/11/2008, -1/+3You know, that shot looked a lot better when you could actually tell where the basketball was. Not sure how much good a playoff berth is if we end up playing the Lake show though... we can beat the NBA's retirement home in San Antonio, and we can beat CP3, but Kobe and Gasol scare the hell out of me.
- Vvolf, on 04/11/2008, -0/+1Just watch out if you're a exercise bike cause he'll kick you down!
- madmonkey300, on 04/11/2008, -1/+2the big white demon looking one
