College Junior in NBA Draft but has no Basketball experience
inquisitr.com — Zach Feinstein is the dark horse in this years NBA Draft, the dark horse because he ’s managed to register himself despite having no serious basketball playing experience. “The short story is that I, Zachary Feinstein, have declared for the 2008 NBA Draft. As a 5′8″ 130 pound Caucasian, I am the perfect candidate ...

- aduric, on 05/08/2008, -9/+3lol...that pic of him dunking is hilarious. I wonder how much he had to lower the rim.
- McHaleR, on 05/08/2008, -4/+1he probably jumped up to the net and pulled himself up
- JointheArmy, on 05/08/2008, -3/+8Lower? You mean how much did he have to raise the rim. Nigga's got skillz.
- IDIGTHEDIGG, on 05/08/2008, -1/+36Too bad for Zach that Isiah Thomas got fired.
- bicyclethief, on 05/08/2008, -0/+30Zach doesn't have enough off-court trouble to make the Knicks.
- rivalius13, on 05/08/2008, -0/+4Still plenty of time to run over a hooker before the draft. He can blame it on GTA IV!
- rml1732, on 05/09/2008, -1/+2Best comment of the week.
- IDIGTHEDIGG, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Thanks! lol

- Pstall, on 05/08/2008, -8/+3No trampoline in the picture? I am impressed.
- blackdude, on 05/08/2008, -2/+16I'll sign him for a couple bucks, he can play 1v1 against me in my backyard ^^.
- p0tent1al, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4IF you know what he means (wink wink)
- jordanmerle, on 05/08/2008, -3/+31If the NBA was an equal opportunity employer im sure they could find him a job.
- skeletorcares, on 05/08/2008, -4/+16Equal opportunity only applies to non-whites. Get it? EQUAL.
- threemagic, on 05/08/2008, -1/+4Apparently you've never seen the Utah Jazz.
- sovereign3, on 05/08/2008, -0/+4I do believe the NBA is an equal talent league.
- Elissar, on 05/08/2008, -0/+15Well, let's put it this way, the Heat can't possibly get any worse...
- adambadam, on 05/08/2008, -0/+21Methinks this will not be quite as easy a process next year.
- UltraDavid, on 05/08/2008, -5/+41You could tell this was a joke just from the guy's name. Zach Feinstein? This is the closest my people have gotten to playing pro basketball for decades.
- FullMetalNIN, on 05/08/2008, -2/+1What about Charles Barkley
- acdcfanbill, on 05/08/2008, -0/+6Charles Barkleystein?

- indiansfred, on 05/08/2008, -5/+0Oy vey! Some groups train more at basketball, some train more in handling money. Some are better at other activities. We all have some talent in something.
- FullMetalNIN, on 05/08/2008, -2/+1What about Charles Barkley
- z3r0c0O1, on 05/08/2008, -1/+6What the *****.
- PyroRaver, on 05/08/2008, -2/+6Look at him go! That dunk is crazy...
- korvan504521, on 05/08/2008, -1/+1Dunking. whoopee.
Personally, i think its very unfortunate for the sport that basketball has come to emphasize so greatly height rather than skill. You won't get into pro-ball without skill, but height makes up an inordinate amount of the game- luket13, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1korvan ( you wannabe vampire) you don't know anything about basketball do you.
- korvan504521, on 05/08/2008, -1/+1Dunking. whoopee.
- timothiuz, on 05/08/2008, -1/+2wow
- UltraDavid, on 05/08/2008, -16/+2Zach Feinstein? The closest this dude can get to pro basketball is owning a team. Our people don't exactly make for the best b-ball players.
- greenlight2001, on 05/08/2008, -0/+13You just posted 5 comment above... and along the same lines.
- UltraDavid, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1Yeah I accidentally hit refresh as I was submitting that comment and I didn't think it went through, so I thought I had to post it again. Too bad there's no delete comment function on Digg. Burying is appropriate.
- greenlight2001, on 05/08/2008, -0/+13You just posted 5 comment above... and along the same lines.
- Gosunkugi, on 05/08/2008, -1/+4Perhaps the Sonics could draft him. Honestly, we really can't do much worse at this point.
- ironcrotch, on 05/08/2008, -0/+3Sure you can get much lower, you might not have a team at all next year.
- tylercomp, on 05/08/2008, -3/+2i think i read about someone doing something like this a couple years back, he didn't have any luck...
- Red05, on 05/08/2008, -1/+3eh... it happens every year
- boonesfarm, on 05/08/2008, -17/+6Reminds me of Obama - unqualified, not funny, and managed to get his face plastered on Digg.
BREAKING NEWS : Clinton plays "jew card" on Feinstein.- BadseedJR, on 05/08/2008, -0/+4Thanks for the completely unrelated comment to this story. Douche.
- Gosunkugi, on 05/08/2008, -0/+6And what's the deal with airline peanuts, huh? Crazy!
- peeinian, on 05/08/2008, -1/+5Fact: Pretty much anyone can apply for the NBA draft. http://www.nbpa.com/cba_articles/article-X.php
There is a fee of course, and if you are reading this, it is likely you lack the skill to make the NBA. Now get out there and practice.- a1cd, on 05/08/2008, -0/+10actually, there is no fee
- peeinian, on 05/08/2008, -0/+8Well ***** me running; guess I should have actually read up on it. Thanks for the info. I'll be seeing all of you in the Draft next year.
- almightyzam, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1*****...you...what?
- a1cd, on 05/08/2008, -0/+10actually, there is no fee
- chillmandan, on 05/08/2008, -9/+2Not really that funny, just makes himself look hyper-unathletic.
- Modestexcuse, on 05/08/2008, -3/+6Hey, I'm 5'10" and 160lbs, Caucasian to a T. I want in! I have 2" on this guy, and this is the first time in my life I can say that.
- AmericanGunner, on 05/08/2008, -1/+5eww gross.
- xadamxwaltonx, on 05/08/2008, -0/+7I thought it was the onion at first...
- n64guru, on 05/08/2008, -4/+3"I am the perfect candidate for professional basketball. Also, I do not play basketball."
This is such a poor take on satirical humor. His whole site reeks of this tired, old routine, and I wonder why people this "accomplishment" or any other type of "satirical, but just for satirical sake" comedy interesting to read. - charlie55, on 05/08/2008, -8/+2this guy isnt "in the draft" . he is just a dude that filled out some forms.
- djdingo, on 05/08/2008, -7/+1"As a 5′8″ 130 pound Caucasian, I am the perfect candidate..."
You would have been until you said "Caucasian". - ramunenke, on 05/08/2008, -2/+5dugg for intrigue. Hopefully he will become NBA's own rickroll.
- chrisbosh123, on 05/08/2008, -1/+5No offense but it even says on the draft express website "other "unknown individuals" who are likely entering their name in the draft as a practical joke." so I'm not sure if he saw that or not...
- giantsfan134, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2Surprising only 16 people thought to do this.
I think I'll sign up next year!
- giantsfan134, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2Surprising only 16 people thought to do this.
- skeletorcares, on 05/08/2008, -6/+1Basketball players, teams, playoffs, drafts: is anything not a joke about this 'sport'?
- whataboutdave, on 05/08/2008, -3/+1Imagine the P.R. coup for the team that signs him!
Obviously he won't get drafted, but I think a team could invite him to a training camp or something - give him a 4ft tall prop check to compensate him for his travel. A basketball fan as creative and persistent as he is should be rewarded somehow.- midejitsu, on 05/08/2008, -1/+4What I read on his site doesn’t really sound like a basketball fan. It sounds like a bored college student who came up with this idea while drunk. Believe me, I am all for having ideas while drunk and I am all for being drunk even without ideas. I just happen to know that many things stop being funny once you’re sober. I really don’t care if the NBA has to spend a couple of bucks on this clown, but unless he recently broke his legs and discovered he can jump really high this isn’t even as interesting as the plot of a very mediocre ’90s flick.
- SDL486, on 05/08/2008, -1/+2I think he should just try to start his on expansion team.
- xen0blue, on 05/08/2008, -2/+1how do you go about 'declaring' your self for the nba draft?
- SilenceIsFoo, on 05/08/2008, -0/+3Probably the same way you declare bankruptcy.
"I declare BANKRUPTCYYY!!!" -Michael Scott
- SilenceIsFoo, on 05/08/2008, -0/+3Probably the same way you declare bankruptcy.
- tweedius, on 05/08/2008, -0/+3Lol, nicknames on his site:
http://www.draftfeinstein.com/nickname.php - nick2, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2He should go to a local sports store and try to set up a signing, haha. He could just say that he's a college student that is in the 2008 NBA Draft and see if any people come for his autograph.
- Tolzmaniac, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2He would still be a better draft choice than Darko Milicic was.
- dan222555, on 05/08/2008, -0/+6So he declared for the NBA draft, made a website, and there's no way in hell he's going to drafted. Am I supposed to be laughing? Where's the joke? Sounds like another idiot craving cheap internet attention....
- Jacksonblue, on 05/08/2008, -0/+0that's my exact height and weight.....
Of course he's able to dunk a 10 foot rim and i don't even come close..... - walter909, on 05/09/2008, -0/+15'8 this has to be a typo...more like 6'8 if anything
- tacobellmanager, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Yawn. This kind of story happens every single year, and has happened for at least the past 15 or more. Every year someone thinks it'd be clever to do this, and every year a bunch of people who never saw the story the first time go OMFG isn't this cool and ironic haha dugg upmod.
- Mahogany419, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Boy do I miss Rex Chapman
- sieeegel, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Here's a video of him playing... http://www.ksdk.com/video/default.aspx?aid=75925&s ...
- giangsing7, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5buried for being stupid.
- mcfly1204, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1Why not link directly to his site?
- ltomson, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1I see the point...but not a big fan!
- webtroll, on 05/13/2008, -0/+1Myself a 6'1 caucasian who can barely dunk I like his idea. ESPN needs to know about this prospect. I can see him being signed for the minimum salary in the sixth or seventh round although his numbers have dropped off significantly over the years. Oh wait, unlike in the NFL there aren't that many places on a basketball team.
