- AHIGHERGOD, on 10/11/2007, -4/+40This city needs a championship.
Go Cavs! - defjux21, on 10/11/2007, -2/+36Heh, looking forward to the Varejao / Ginobli flopping contest.
Anyways, the Finals should be somewhat interesting this year. - Wendigo6x3, on 10/11/2007, -7/+39He stole it from Rasheed:

Daniel Gibson + LeBron = Certain Destruction!
HERE WE GO CAVS!! - dRuNk3nIrIsHmEn, on 10/11/2007, -2/+28Rise up Cleveland!
- TVisdoG, on 10/11/2007, -7/+31I wish I could digg this story up more than once. I grew up in Cleveland and I'm all full of pride (and alcohol) right now.
- Enjoikr3w, on 10/11/2007, -4/+27prolly ***** sucking.
- atbnet, on 10/11/2007, -3/+25I've watched the Indians fall apart in two World Series, the Browns totally suck, and the Cavs barely win any games. Cleveland needs a championship! I think LeBron found his 'Pippen' in Gibson.
- kidd3ckz, on 10/11/2007, -2/+23i dugg you down because i hate it when ppl just keep pressing Y in xbox soul caliber.... or duck+low punch in street fighter.... ***** you all if u do that and u read this.
- lordmike, on 10/11/2007, -3/+23I love boobie, too.. but, what does this have to do with basketball?? Oh wait! THAT boobie! Never mind!! ;-)
- doubleblack, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21I still can't believe Boobie had more points in the 4th quarter, than James had all game...
That game was awesome, I'm definitely excited for the Finals! Or, maybe that's just because I'm from Cleveland - Calloused, on 10/11/2007, -3/+22Can't wait to see Duncan co-star in a poster featuring James again.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0GiPPR_pG8 - HeadBussa, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18Gibson really stepped up this game. And the Pistons weren't playing like they were the entire season.
Boobie for THREE!!!! - proficient, on 10/11/2007, -2/+18The series will be interesting, but many people think that the Spurs can handle them easily.
- nemobushido, on 10/11/2007, -0/+145-5 for three pointers ftw.
- Insofar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13the indians were so ***** good too... it hurt.
- YuriSakazaki, on 10/11/2007, -3/+15We haven't done that since like the 80s :<
This is so disheartening to me, there's no way on earth we should have lost to Cleveland. We were the better team all season and for the first 2 games, we play better as a cohesive unit, we don't have any single player with a massive ego (looking at you, Ben and Shaq)... I guess the Cavs are just hungrier.
Wings got knocked out in the Western Conference Finals, now the Pistons in the east... all I have left are the Tigers, because no one cares about the WNBA (I didn't even know they won the title last year till last week), and we know that the WNBA team could probably beat the Lions at football. - tito13kfm, on 10/11/2007, -10/+22Cavs in 6. I stand by my prediction.

I also want to say that Joe Tait + TV = best possible combination ever. - bigstinky, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13As a Detroiter and Piston fan, I'd like to say congratulations to the Cavs as well as their fans for a great effort and well deserved victory over my 'Stones. Lebron is a force and you should all be proud.
That being said,
1. Verajao is the biggest cheat flopper I've seen since Peter Forsberg.
2. Will somebody please, please tell me what the hell is up with that fur circle on the back of Goodens' head?
3. There was no way that the Pistons were going to beat the Spurs had they won, so I'm going to say it now, you homers that honestly believe the Cavs are going to take the Spurs in five have no clue whatsoever. The Cavs are too fresh in this mix, they have not payed their playoff dues just yet. They go down in 5 and quite possibly will be swept by the much more talented, playoff savvy Spurs.
Go ahead slappies, flame on. It's all good. I make no excuse for the Pistons, they lost to a team that played with purpose and heart. I wish the Cavs luck, but no way. No way. Not this year. - dRuNk3nIrIsHmEn, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12"You only have the one turd burglar making any points"
"The Cavs are a one man team and we all know that."
Game 1: LeBron James 10 pts Game 2: LBJ 19 pts Game 3: LBJ 32 pts Game 4: LBJ 25 pts
Zydrunas Ilgauskus 22 pts Sasha Pav 14 pts Sasha Pav 13 pts Drew Gooden 19 pts
Larry Hughes 13 pts A. Varejao 14 pts Big Z 16 pts Daniel Gibson 21 pts
Game 5: We all know what happened here... Game 6: LBJ 20 pts
LBJ 48 pts Gibson 31 pts
Z 16 pts Ilgauskus 11
Gibson 11 pts
That, to me (besides game 5,) is NOT a one man team.

They sure did, and beat them twice this season - handler, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10"Cavs in 5"
What the ***** are you smoking? Seriously... - trixnfx, on 10/11/2007, -11/+18Oh you mean those games that were played in the beginning of the season? I'm sure you haven't heard of S.P.A.M.
Spurs Peak After March. We all know they turn it on after the All Star break. Just wait... all of this euphoria for the Cavs fans will end soon.
Spurs are proven. Cavs are not. Fact. - numeka, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9So. Frickin. Excited.
I *never* gave the Cavs a chance once they were up against the powerhouse that is The Detroit Pistons. I love to be proved wrong. - bobcatred, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6@threemagic
"You guys forget that the 3 biggest markets, LA, NY, Chicago were in an NBA final for 23 consecutive years..."
And this is proof of a conspiracy? How about it's proof that those three markets had the most money to throw at the best players, so they won because they had *gasp* really good players?!
Biggest market = most money.
It doesn't mean good management though, so when management screws up and trades the wrong people, or brings in a weak coach, or what have you, they can kill a dynasty in no time. Any one of those teams could end up back on top with a few well-placed $$ towards a killer player or two and good management. - hassanchop13, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9while i think the spurs will probably win, you can never count out at team with a player like Lebron. If he takes over a couple games, the Cavs can maybe pull the upset.
- Raz0rblades, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7I will admit I am neither a Spurs nor Cavs fan and I will be tuning into the finals this year. What really interests me is to see how Lebron will get the 'superstar treatment' against Duncan and others, to see just who is the better flopper between Manu and the guy that looks like side show bob, and most importantly to see if Bowen, who will be guarding Lebron, deliberately tries to hurt King James. Personally, I really hope whoever flops more (side show bob or manu) gets called out on it hard core by the commentary people.
This should be interesting, my prediction, Spurs in 5. - humpy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7notice.
- NeonElixir, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9I'm from Cleveland and I'm ecstatic to see this go on, but I do agree that the Cavs probably won't win it all. But oh man... are we ever due to win a championship here!
- brownzilla, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Now well find out which contry produces better floppers, Brazil or Aregentina
- hoovcluck, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9Dugg for the flopping Brazilian!
- threemagic, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Don't forget the Spurs are the most popular team over seas...
So you have the team that's has the most popular foreign players (Ginobli and Parker) vs the "team" with Lebron (nike's golden boy and MJ2)..
You guys forget that the 3 biggest markets, LA, NY, Chicago were in an NBA final for 23 consecutive years...
Wade and Lebron both were given their conference finals wins.. the touch fouls have to stop. They haven't earned anything yet. - hydrosnowman, on 10/11/2007, -7/+12LeBron will get his NBA title...but not this year.
- eltejano, on 10/11/2007, -8/+13Spurs in 6!
- brownzilla, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6forget ginboli, i cant wait to see fabricio and varejo simultaneouly flop with out touching each other......its the magnets!!!!
@goosepillows
riches??? what are you retarded, spurs have the 11th higest payroll and cavs are the 16th highest. You should be a poster boy for the ESPN news commercials - firsttube, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8>"The Spurs have dealt with star players before. They have done rather well in those situations."
>"Totally true. Lebron is good but do you seriously expect a team that handled Nash to fall to him? Spurs win in 5."
I think you might be forgetting the fact that LeBron is a little more athletic than Steve Nash. Just a little. - Benprofane, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9The Spurs have dealt with star players before. They have done rather well in those situations.
- Wren5, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8Totally true. Lebron is good but do you seriously expect a team that handled Nash to fall to him? Spurs win in 5.

No, it's not.

If that's not enough proof for you, I was at the game last night, and as we were all chanting "Boobie, Boobie, Boobie..." they spelled it in big letters on the JumboTron. So don't call us *****, please. Thanks. - desistere, on 10/11/2007, -12/+16What's with Gooden's back-of-the-head pube haircut patch:

Disgruntled Detroit Fan - niko8778, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4spurs had a losing record against the pistons from a few years ago, who were a much better team than the current cavs, how did that series turn out?
spurs in 5 or 6
with cavs winning either game 1 and thats it
or 1 and 5 - bobcatred, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3People outside of the 1% of basketball fans located in Dallas...
- Mikkel04, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2It was a dare at the beginning of the season. During a preseason game in the locker room, the rest of the Cavs bet that Gooden couldn't keep his little reverse goatee going for the rest of the season. He may just stick with it seeing as how this season has gone for them so far.
- spiffywilco, on 10/11/2007, -4/+6@trixnfx
One man show? Were you watching the game last night? I must have seen a different one because Gibson was the one hitting all his shots...
cavs in 5. - shlos, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5Representing the Spurs from new jersey!!! lets go SPURS!!!!!
- brownzilla, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Spurs will let lebron do what ever he wants, don't expect gibson or anyone else to have any big games. Cavs only hope is getting Duncan in foul trouble.
