- DjBearPDX, on 10/19/2009, -3/+23What, were they playing Palestine?
- augustojr, on 10/19/2009, -0/+19a rabbi, a coach and a ref walk into an arena...
- BaltimoreTom, on 10/19/2009, -0/+16So if a Rabbi was overseeing the game could they have put a Star-K on the floor to signify it's a kosher game?
- chicagodj, on 10/19/2009, -3/+17I have no opinion on who is right in that long standing war... but I still find this comment funny.
- digital0verdose, on 10/19/2009, -3/+15You don't have to go to Temple, but you got to get the ***** up outta here.

Oh sorry... It's only funny when you make fun of Christians or Muslims. Jews are off limits.... - enclaved, on 10/19/2009, -0/+5why would you bury that story based only on the headline?
- AgeofMastery, on 10/19/2009, -0/+4The rabbi just oversees things to make sure they're produced according to kosher standards. I worked in a food production facility years ago and the rabbi would come in and inspect once a month to make sure everything was up to standard.
- Rivetgeek, on 10/19/2009, -2/+6To be fair, the Knicks fan's were launching spitwads and paper cups in violation of an armistice.
- inactive, on 10/19/2009, -5/+8Maccabi Tel Aviv really sucked last night. They kept fouling and missing almost every one of their shots.
- Apocalyptic0n3, on 10/19/2009, -0/+3The former GM of Maccabi (the one credited with creating one of the best non-NBA franchises in the history of the game) also committed suicide last night. Really not a good day if you are a Maccabi Tel Aviv fan.
- SooperSonic, on 10/19/2009, -1/+4Oy vey!

- zantos420, on 10/19/2009, -0/+3What does the rabbi do to things exactly to make them kosher?
When I worked in a kitchen in Florida a couple summers ago we had a Jewish wedding we were catering to and we had to come in super early that morning to meet with a Rabbi who blessed the kitchen, and watched over everyone to make sure meats didn't get near vegetables, etc..
He also had a torch which he used to bless the insides of our ovens. - vbschoten, on 10/19/2009, -0/+2i hate to stereotype but....
- Rivetgeek, on 10/19/2009, -0/+2He blesses them and ensures that kosher dietary laws are followed.
- BaltimoreTom, on 10/19/2009, -1/+2I think they make sure they don't mix milk with the beef.

- smickandily, on 10/19/2009, -1/+1What does the rabbi do to things exactly to make them kosher? And how are they changed from pre rabbi exposed status?
